Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Hi Yellow1912,
How would I go about adding the model number after the product name? And, is it possible to denote the model number by placing it in brackets, like it displays in the meta-description, or something else? I'm not 100% set on that, but I definitely would like to add the model number since we get a fair few folks searching Google by model number.
Thanks!!

First of all, sorry for this short reply to your post (I am very busy man these days).
- the problem was caused by Zen Cart session lost problem (it has nothing to do with MODs - your Zen Cart installation is only little modified in comparison what I have seen on several thousands Zen Carts with MSU)
- yes, this solution was not here at the time of my original response - why you didn't request your money back instead of crying?
- manually added static pages are not supported (it is not claimed anywhere), but you can add your own custom Rewrite Rules to your .htaccess file.
Or did you find on our web site anything which was claimed and Magic SEO URL is not doing? - if you are not receiving updates or there is no response from Us to 10h, your mail server likely trashing our messages (spam detection).
Magic SEO URL is doing exactly what is on the Feature page. Nothing more, nothing less. If anyone is in doubt whether some Feature is supported it is also possible to test it on Demo web site.
Btw Your post is pretty long - I am sad that satisfied customers do not leave some posts too here, but from my previous experience, it is normal - only unsatisfied customers write such posts (and since you are first it is not so bad). That is life :)
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
I've noticed the following error in admin under Extras /Simple SEO URL Manager
Render error, file not found(C:/xampp/htdocs/zencart/admin/includes/templates/templates/ssu/tpl_reset_cache_folder.php)
I've checked the folders and there is no ssu folder in /templates/

I believe this was posted long ago, which Im pretty sure MSU fixed that already. I dont even remember what it is.
The were never any issue/bug with redirections - it is absolutely basic feature. I really don't know where you got such info (you can review web sites which are using 1.0.00 version - redirections are working fine there).

You just don't get it, do you?? And now you accuse me of "crying"??? What fantastic customer service!!!:yuck: I will attribute this to cultural differences, but you would do well to learn from this. If I were to tell a customer after the sale that, basically, "too bad", I would feel really stupid as a vendor and be open to having people saying negative things about my customer service( which is stellar, by the way).
A "little modified in comparison"?? I have over 130 mods on my site!! You are trying to tell me that that is small compared to the "SEVERAL THOUSANDS of zen carts with MSU"????? Get real.
And you say that I am the first to report these problems? Get a grip, dude, and do a search here and you will see that I am certainly not the first. You knew going in to this venture that you would be dealing with cart owners that were not programmers/developers, and your response to a problem getting EZ pages to have the same URL structure is :
"manually added static pages are not supported (it is not claimed anywhere), but you can add your own custom Rewrite Rules to your .htaccess file."
but you gave NO indication of how to implement these custom rewrite rules!!!
Regardless of whether or not you have since addressed these issues, I know for a fact that I was not the only one to have these problems. Regardless, you have left people hanging, whether or not you have remedied this remains to be seen because I don't visit your site other than to request the updates that I am entitled to(but never receive).
Which leads to my last point. I have received emails in the past with the update links. But since you have removed me from your list of websites that use your mod (in the "live shops" page) I have not received ANY response from you! I have contacted you through your "feedback" form on your website and still received no response! Admit it, you are ignoring me since I am not one of the "happy customers". My ISP is NOT filtering you out for spam, what a lame excuse!! I want my upgrades! You know who I am, you can see my web address in my signature but you have done absolutely NOTHING to make me feel differently and you have certainly never contacted me, even after my other posts. So get out from behind your apparently HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF SALES PROFITS (which, by the way, sounds pretty inflated considering how few examples you have on your website in the "live shops" section) and send me the upgrade and maybe I will be quieter. You know who I am, stop saying you are "too busy" to address this and see to this unhappy customer. Look me up in your database if you have to.:shocking::blink::blink::blink::no:
No matter what you say, Jiri, I will NOT respond to you again in this thread. I am very sorry to Yellow1912 for this continued digression from the real topic of this thread which is the REAL alternative to the MSU. But, I couldn't just let this last post go unanswered, I am that pissed, but I will, out of great respect, leave it alone here.

iRay, I think I have done my best to be nice and avoid any useless argument here with you. I REQUEST that you take this matter else where, not HIJACKING this support thread link this. Once more post and I'll report this matter to the forum admins.
With best regards.

From my developer point of view, your site is only little modified.

Already do that and I didn't find any troubles that were not solved.

Yes, no indication or you found anywhere on our web site claimed something else? By purchasing MSU you are not buying complex web site service...
Anyway, there is special forum about this http://www.magic-seo-url.com/board/c...write-rules-6/ and I do not see any posts from you. May be no real effort to make it work...

There is no connection between updates and live shops page. Your web site was removed, because you are not using MSU, aren't you? ;-)
Also, the list is showing only small sample of web site, it is not - of course - complete list... (but hope soon will be updated to show new best web sites)

As I already said, your mail server is likely trashing our messages. I really have no reasons to lie.
I also have no problem with SSU - I never force anyone to use MSU. Feel free to use what you think is best for you and your web site.

I am sorry abou this, but I was not the person, who post first off topic message. I am only defending MSU. Please take this to your consideration...

I missed it when updating the svn somehow, my bad, you can get the 2 files here:
https://svn.rubikintegration.com/zen...templates/ssu/
I will update the zip file now as well
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
I understand your frustration. But it does look a bit ugly when we start an argument with our customers in the public, right? No matter who is wrong or right, you still get some negative effect.
Wouldnt it be the best for you two to settle this matter through private message or email? And then if you still need opinions from others, it may be the best to start a specific topic for it?
Regards?
As I stated before, over and over, I didnt code this module to be a replacement for any other seo module. So I dont feel comfortable debating which one is the best anyway.
