Since you're displaying categories on your homepage, please use the file attached (unzip and upload to your includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/ directory). This is a patch for cases where you display your categories on the main page.
As for banner group - you'll have to adapt your banners because this module creates 10 new banner groups (slide1 - slide10) as explained in the documentation.
Many Thanks for your super fast response, I have downloaded this vs AJAX_banner_swapper_v1.0.1, as I cannot see any SQL's there I am assuming you are pointing me to use the latest vs found here http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1404 with the patch named...install-v1.3.x.sql Correct? I have no idea about AJAX banner swapper, never used it, I can only speak for my module. Yes, you'd use install-v1.3.x.sql since your site is from the 1.3.x series.
I took a quick look at your site and you should be able to use the ZX Slideshow module without any problems. Of course, some css styling will be required to get the same or similar look as you have now.
Have fun!

Ahh my apologies, yes I was referring to your Module bu accidentally copied the version of one of the other options I had looked at earlier in the day. I will install it tomorrow, can you elaborate on CSS possible problems, I may encounter (I will try it on a test version and see if I need further assistance)
Cheers

Yeah, definitely try on a test copy of your site. The slider comes with some default styling (index_home.css) and you'll just have to play with dimensions and positioning to get the same layout as you currently have, only with the addition of a slideshow. For example, you'll most likely need some negative top margin or something like that. I don't know, I'm just guessing... Nothing major, just some simple styling will be required. At least I think it will be required, you might like it out of the box... :wink2:
Re: ZX Slideshow official thread
So sorry to be a pain I did have a couple of question I forgot to ask.
If I put it in a test example myurl/test and use the sql in the live site
1 will I have any problems with my live site by running that sql
2 do you have a sql removal code I can have in case I need it
3 I take it any styling and adjusting required is only on this index_home.css correct? seems easy enough if I use the firefox css editor, I should get it just right unless I LOVE it out the box ;-)
Cheers fr your patience and prompt help once again.

#1 - as always, make a backup of your database before installing ANY SQL patches. In case anything goes wrong, you can always just restore the backup and continue with whatever you're doing.
#2 - just read through this thread, I posted the removal code somewhere (and a link to the post is somewhere in the previous 1-2 pages)
#3 - yup, index_home.css should be all you need to edit. Play with it and I'm sure you'll find it simple enough.
Best,
L.
Re: ZX Slideshow official thread
Hi,
First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing this excellent add-on.
It's working perfectly fine but one issue.
Even though I put Banner URL on Banner Manager page, the hyperlink does not work.
(only the first slide image has the link on when it loads, but after the image gets replaced with others, it just is not working - No more link - it's gone)
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?
I would really appreciate it if somebody could figure this out.
Thanks!

A link to your site would probably help... Everything else is just wild guessing.
BTW, did you add a link to each banner in the admin?
Re: ZX Slideshow official thread
I just installed the module and the slides are not moving, I think it might be a jQuery problem ... Everything was installed where it supposed to go and the first image is shown static ...
If you wanna take a look just click my signature below

Try removing jscript_jquery.js from includes/templates/apple_zen/jscript and see if it works w/o it.
