This is obviously a z-index issue.
If you don't know what this is, do this tutorial
http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_intro.asp
then tweak your CSS accordingly.
You need 3 things:
1) A test site, if you don't know how to build one, buy the Zen manual and follow instructions.
2) A style editor, I use Top Style Pro, but you can use anything you like.
3) The Web Developer add-on for Firefox.
Lastly, please post your questions in the other thread, referenced above.

I have the same problem. Since I don't see the flyout menus at his site, either he never fixed his problem or neither of the two browsers I use support it (Chrome and IE 8).

For the upload, I replaced "YOUR_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE_NAME" with "classic" since I don't have a custom template.

I am using the latest version of zen-cart, (or at least the updates button in the admin window tells me I don't need to update).

Other than the rename of the subdirectory, my install consisted simply of uploading the files to the presumably correct subdirectories of my web-site.

Are there any other installation steps I should have taken?

I didn't see an "edit button" next to my post so that's why I've replied to my own post.

I think the problem is solved. I installed the "Patriot" template and see that I do have flyout menus from the new top menu bar it installed in place of the default category tabs.

The problem was/is that I was expecting flyout menus from the Categories sidebox (which still aren't there) and which, I guess, aren't supposed to be.

I found this reference to a site in another posting which shows the flyout behavior I was expecting from the category sidebox:

Since the flyouts are working in my horizontal top menu but not my categories sidebox there must be something obvious I overlooked in the installation.

By the way, I read every message in this thread. No doubt the solution has already been posted, I just didn't recognize it if it has.

Where did you install the files?

I decided to use the drop down menu instead. The files would have been installed where the installation instructions indicated, but it's a moot point now.

Eu instalei um ficheiro que estava disponível neste tópico que é o: css-flyout-categories-v1.3.0.zip e instalei numa loja e ficou muito bom, mas instalei noutra loja e ficou mal. Ou seja as categorias não aparecem em cima e não percebo porque...

Tenho a outra module que vem original para verem as categorias que deveriam aparecer em cima no css fly menu...

Alguém me pode ajudar?

English, please, if you want almost everybody to understand you.

I am using ZC 1.3.7 and just installed all of the CSS Flyout Header files but nothing is showing up. I have been through the file structure several times to make sure that I have in fact put everything where it is supposed to go and everything seems to be in place. Only the Catagory tabs I already had in place are visible, but no drop down menu. Is there something I have to turn on or turn off in the admin to get it to show up?

I am also getting a ---Property behavior doesn't exist : url(includes/csshover.htc) url(includes/csshover.htc) ---error when I tried validating the CSS. Could that be causing the problem? I checked and the csshover.htc file is located within the includes folder.

Graniteman, get rid of that junky thing and install THIS ONE. All your troubles will be over.
