Sorry about the delay to get back to you. I had to put the Multisite on hold as I have not yet fix the first part of my issue ( the error 500 )

Regarding the picture, you are correct. It is the categorie page of Multisite.

My problem is the template being displayed in each categorie is being populated in a strange form.

My template name is kentfield_florist .When it is added to all categories and after page reload, the name being display is florist_kentfield somehow.

I will give it another try on fresh install of ZC and go from there as some other plugin could be interfering.

Has anyone tried setting this up in a MAMP/XAMP environment where you don't have the cPanel Domains redirect capability?
(Failing that, does cPanel just create a .htaccess file? Or is it more complicated?)

Been busy with USPS but, I think cPanel only writes to .htaccess for PHP version.

@noppie I see what you're doing but when do it, not only does the URL get changed but it doesn't even get changed properly; the final / is missing so the script is concatenated on to the subdomain.

https://site2com/ should go to https://site1.com/subfolder/ but when I try to run a script without even using the multisite code, the redirection fails:

https://site2.com/testsite.php

goes to

https://site1.com/subfoldertestsite.php

(which obviously doesn't work because the subdomain doesn't have a trailing slash.)

I think the issue I was having was because of URL rewriting on the target site. I disabled rewrites for the multisite domain and now redirection looks good.

The issue I am having is that if I link a product from one category to another, the products won't show up unless you are in the master category.

Funnily enough, if there is only one item in the category (and it is linked in) it will show, but add another linked product in and they both disappear.

Assuming this is an issue with cat_filter, but I can't work it out - or is this a known limitation of this plugin which I wasn't aware of before?

I'm guessing cat_filter is looking at the description of the master category and as it doesn't match it's not displaying the product.

Does anyone still use this module? it shows as compatible upto 1.56, hoping it is available for 1.58a? I was told it is no longer working though for modern versions of zencart?

I know we've chatted privately, but posting publicly for the sake of any chance of keeping this plugin alive.

it took 3 years!! (don't ask) but I have successfully updated to 1.5.7d with this plugin (thank you DrByte post #2148). There is a bug in the cat_filter file - minor mind you - either use the old version or delete/amend the first few lines.

If anyone else is still using this I wouldn't mind a show of hands. I intend (not much choice really) to move to 158 this year - I'll give my current upgrade a bit of time with the customers to iron out anything i missed but its running smoothly at present. And then see if a move to 158 is feasible....

I don't need it myself now but it sounds like you are close, i decided it probably wasn't the best idea to try ticket sales in such a way, i assume what i managed to get was no help :/

Pretty confident I have it working.

I'll zip it up and post here when my upgrade to 1.5.8 is complete (it will give it a bit more testing time) - if there is anyone still interested ...
