Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Never mind, I found the problem. My hosting company is running PHP over CGI, I had to set the .htaccess Basic Authentication Mode setting to true under the admin panel and create the .htaccess and password file.
FYI, if any one is running into this problem check with your web hosting company to verify if they are running CGI as a module or over PHP.
Any one with Go Daddy hosting, they are running PHP over CGI.
Hope this helps someone out.

You should take a look on the Admin side for the login credential that was emailed to the customer and test it for yourself to see what error you get (if any).
Also, this is the wrong forum to post this. The feature you're referencing was introduced in version 1.4 and up of GCO and that mod is supported on the new Google Group.

I found her Credentialsl, when I try to log in using them, I get this error message:

I posted what happened on the Google checkout group for Zen cart in the Google forums, now I have to wait and see.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Problem solved, it turned out that the issue I had was do to upgrading to 1.3.8
Quote:
Situation:
I have just upgraded and now getting this error when trying to login from the customer screen "There was a security error when trying to login"
Cause:
Zen Cart™ v1.3.8 has an added security feature to prevent spoofed external logins. A "security token" field has been added to all login forms. This token must be current (not expired), and must be submitted with login username+password in order for logins to work properly.
Remedy:
If you have customized template "login" files, the new security features need to be merged into your customized template files.
The following files are affected:
- /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_login_default.php
- /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_timeout_default.php
And if you're encountering it in your Admin area, this file is affected as well:
- /admin/login.php
Additionally, if you have customized your /includes/functions/sessions.php file for some reason, you'll also need to merge the new changes for this core file into your customized version.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Is there any way to get my order total shipping to show up when someone pays via GCO. (Free Shipping For Orders Over £30.00) this is what we need to sell at, paypal takes it from ZC fine but google doesnt even list it as a shipping option, Ideally I would like it so that it is calculated automatically so my customers don't have to select it (like paypal express).
Any help will be greatly apppreciated.
G3Steve: I have had this problem I spent literally hours trying to fix it, try reinstalling GCO and following the instructions exactly as they are printed, I had overlooked a few steps and ended up where you are now.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Funny thing. I uninstalled google checkout to upgrade it to 1.4.5 and my number of orders have increased. What's up with that?

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hopefully you guys can help me as I am about to beat my head against a wall. I just upgraded Google Checkout to 1.4.5 and I noticed that while caculating the shipping cost via Google Checkout my customers are always presented with:
"Free Options: Free Options"
From what I can tell and form what I read via searching the past few hours, this only shows up if you are using the free shipping option, which I am. The thing I am having trouble with is that this free shipping option is presented to the customer no matter how much their order total was!
Right now I have it set up so that this option is only presented when the customers order total is $29.99 or greater, but with GC the customer can have a $6.99 item in there and it will still offer them free shipping!
Can anyone out there please direct me towards anything that can help me fix this? In the meantime, I just removed the free shipping options from the array but I would like to add it back as my customers perfer to use Google Checkout over my other payment methods!
Thanks in advance! :smartalec:

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi,
I did a test purchase using google checkout and the order went through ok and i paid for it, and i got the confirmation email from google, but the order did not register in the zen-cart admin.
Also the confirmation page once i had placed the order did not show an order number - even though the confirmation email from google had an order number.
Any ideas?

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart
The next version of the GC for ZC mod will support Zen Cart v.1.3.8 out-of-the-box (customized template files bundled with the mod will include ZC 1.38 code). Ropu will be working on the mod update soon. If you desire new features or need fixes be sure to post your requests/needs/questions on the mod support forum at [url]http://groups.google.com/group/google-checkout-for-zen-cart-mod-support[/ur]

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart
The key things for the new version would be
- More descriptive text at the module setting page for people don't know what half the technical stuff means... perhaps just an "example" under each section that is clearer?
- Better communication between the GC and the ZCC
- Better instructions on how to set up the API call backs, when the SSL is needed etc. For example, we plan to ONLY use Google Checkout.
- If ONLY Google Checkout is used, it would be nice for the other checkout buttons etc to be removed so there is no confusion for the customer.
Just my thoughts :)

More commenting would be great wouldn't it!
- Better communication between the GC and the ZCC
That won't happen due to Google Checkout policy of having their buttons outside the normal checkout system. I'm planning on having a separate site just for google checkout and the others on birdoasis.com.
- Better instructions on how to set up the API call backs, when the SSL is needed etc. For example, we plan to ONLY use Google Checkout.
I think GC are handling this in the new code where it will work right out of the box.
- If ONLY Google Checkout is used, it would be nice for the other checkout buttons etc to be removed so there is no confusion for the customer.
They can't do that due to the number of people that need to use multiple checkout processes. Especially if they have already signed up with a merchant account. I fully believe that a site has to be GC or not GC due to their TOS being blatantly out of the regular checkout system.
Just my thoughts :)
Remember, support for the latest GC Code is no longer handled in the ZC forum. It's here: http://groups.google.com/group/googl...rt-mod-support

Hi all
I'm experiencing the same problem on a new site, anyone got any ideas what's causing this? I think I've had a similar problem with another payment module in the past, but can't remember which and why!

Sorry it took so long to respond, we have been busy at the store. The file I changed was
/googlecheckout/shipping_methods.php
What I did, though it is sloppy since I was pressed for time, was take the entire array for $mc_shipping_methods and create two new variables -- one called $freeshipping_on and $freeshipping_off both which included the array from $mc_shipping_methods.
On $freeshipping_on, I left it exactly how the array was originally as I did not need it to change, and on $freeshipping_off I changed the free shipping array to an empty array ( 'freeoptions' => array(), ).
I then created a simple if/else statement that told the program which array to use depending on the cart total. If the cart total is above $29.99 (my free shipping quota) then the free shipping item is displayed, if not, than the free shipping option is not displayed.
PHP Code:
if($_SESSION['cart']->total >= "29.99"){
$mc_shipping_methods = $freeoptions_on;
} else {
$mc_shipping_methods = $freeoptions_off;
}
Once I have more time I will try to pretty-it up for everyone, but since it is working at the moment, it is on the bottom of my to-do list

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Before I forget, if anyone has been able to figure this out I will be ecstatic! For some reason, Google Checkout will not give me or my clients an option to choose USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail during checkout. The only options it is displaying are USPS Parcel Post Mail and UPSP Express mail.
If anyone knows how I can make First Class and Priority Mail show up, you will be my hero!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Thanks for the button placement update Woodymon.
For those of you that don't want to dig through all those url's heres the link to the button placement page.
http://checkout.google.com/seller/checkout_buttons.html
They finally realized that their original button placement took the buyer off the site, which limited the number of multiple item sells to those that are willing to click the continue shopping button which apparently wasn't that obvious to the shoppers.
The button is now further back in the checkout process but it's still not part of the actual Zen Cart checkout process which I feel is a step in the right direction but still isn't enough.
Once Google Checkout starts charging for their services I'm sure they will see allot of sites turning GC off due to their arrogance in bypassing normal shopping cart checkout services.
I don't plan on adding Goggle Checkout back to Bird Oasis because of this. Unless my wife beats me over the head with it.
I feel that if Goggle Checkout wants to be different then they can be put on a different site where they are the only checkout service, otherwise it's simply too confusing and causes more phone calls from customers wanting to pay over the phone because they don't want to create another payment account.
That's actually what happens on my site. Customers actually call me asking if there is another means of payment.
Now remember. Support for 1.4.? is on the google forum, not in the Zen Cart forum. You have to go to the following site:
http://groups.google.com/group/googl...rt-mod-support
Which is where I posted a message over 4 hours ago and still don't my post anywhere on the board.
Maybe I complain too much....Whatda ya think?

Help upgrading from GC v1.3RC2 to current (v1.4.5_CCS)
Hi there,
We're using an early version 1.3RC2 of google checkout at http://www.ssri.biz/cart
It looks like a lot has changed since then, and the UPGRADE readme for the current version of GC doesn't tell me much about how to get from 1.3RC2 to now.
Can anyone give me a summary, or if it's an awful lot of brain surgery, is there someone on this list who's deeply familiar with Zen Cart + GC who I can hire to make the upgrade for me?
Thanks,

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I am having problem using Carrier Calculated Shipping. When comparing the shipping rate by USPS.com, "shipping estimator" and google checkout, GC Parcel Post shipping rate is always higher than others, but the express mail rate is the same. for example, if shipping weight is 3 lbs, the postage is $24.50 for all three methods shipped within the same zipcode. However, the GC Parcel Post rate shows $7.83, but the other two is only $4.15. For 1lb item, GC Parcel Post has %6.54, but USPS is $3.42.
I have Zen Cart 1.3.7.1 and GC v1.4.5_CCS installed. in GC configuration, I have "GoogleCheckout Carrier Calculated Shipping" set to true, and def. value is 1 for Parcel Post, and express mail. Fix charge and variable are 0. No handling fee set in usps shipping module.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Any help would be most appreciated

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi Guys, thanks for all your help so far, unfortunately GCO is still having teething problems...
I can take purchases through my store now which is great, but the sales arent being returned to Zen Cart. The error log was saying:
"We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://www.i-o-s.co.uk/googlechecko...nsehandler.php -- the error we got is: Send failed with code: 401. Response body was: Failed to Get Basic Authentication Headers"
So I had a search around the forums both here and on google and it looked like I needed to change ".htaccess Basic Authentication Mode" to true in admin which I did and I also ran Ropu's little script there too. Now the error response im getting is:
"We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://www.i-o-s.co.uk/googlechecko...nsehandler.php -- the error we got is: Send failed with code: 400. Response body was: Invalid or not supported Message"
Unfortunatly Im getting rather far out of my depth and don't want to risk totaly Borking GCO (again).
Thankyou everyone.

Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I am still wrestling with GC as well - after having it work for several weeks, then drop USPS as a shipping option, then not work at all - it is driving me crazy! If it wasn't for the free fees (which by the way I have already paid for because it allows customers to have free shipping!!!) I have decided to leave it on, but I did a down and dirty mod on the shipping_methods.php - I changed the text to read
'freeoptions' => array(
'domestic_types' =>
array(
'' => 'Order must be over $55'
),
That way, if the customer insists on choosing free shipping, I can e-mail them back and say sorry - you didn't earn it. This GC mod still sucks, I'm sorry to say - with apologies to who ever is working on it, but come on, spend some pennies out of those gazillions to produce something that works!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Noob here. I have searched the forum and have not found an adequate answer to my question. Is there a correct way to "only" use Google Checkout. I do not want to accept any other forms of payments and I planned on simply disabling the default checkout button. This thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65895 really has me wondering if I should do that? What do y'all suggest?
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
You have a firm grasp on what you have to do to only use Google Checkout.
You can replace the zen cart checkout button, or remove the code all together.
Also disable all other forms of checkout. I don't think that will cause any errors, but I could be mistaken. You'll have to test that.
To disable them simply go into admin, and find the payment module menu.
You may not even have to do that once you get rid of the zen cart checkout button

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I have a client that is insisting on usingi google checkout, and unfortunately I cannot get it to work. I have done it before but something is going on with his I cannot figure out.
In the admin, when I go to configure it, there are a bunch of white text boxes with no text above it telling me what I need to put in. I have put in his Merchant ID and Merchant Key and when someone goes to checkout, there is not that button for google checkout that usually appears. there are no other mods on the site.
The url is: http://bunsnbriefs.com if someone wants to take a look at the admin side for me let me know and I will PM the un/pw to you.
Thank You!!!!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I've wrestling all week trying to get the GC module to work. I have the latest versions of GC and ZC installed, and got PayPal module to work fine. Then I installed the GC module (I had it working in a previous version).
Now, when I click to go to "Add This To My Cart" I get nothing...headers and footers appear, but the main page is blank.
I've also done the response_handler test and it has taken 199 seconds to get a reply from Google....seems verrry slow.
Any advice or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I installed GC for Zen Cart, and signed up for GC and GC sandbox accounts. I think I have followed all the directions, but I am still having some issues. In my scan of this big thread I didn't see an answer to my question, so here goes.
When I check out, Zen Cart sends me to the "Step 1 of 3, Delivery Information" page. Then "Step 2 of 3, Payment Information", then "Step 3 of 3, Order Confirmation". It allows me to select Google Checkout as my payment type. So far so good.
But when I click on the "Confirm the Order" button, it just sends me back to the shopping cart. No thank you message, no e-mail, nothing shows up in the google page. It's basically completely ignoring my order, and I can't find any error messages or log files with some kind of message.
So... did I forget some critical step in the setup of my Zen Cart GC module? Any & all help is appreciated.
Thanks!

The shipping timeout issue
OK, I know there have been many posts about this but I still have some questions. The issue is not covered in the FAQ as far as I can see so hopefully someone will post a concise answer to my questions.
First the background:
I set up GC yesterday. I am using ZC 1.3.7 because 1.3.8 does not work with Fedex (another unseloved issue).
I have tried setting CCS to both true and false. If I set it to false, I fet my Fedex rates coming through maybe half the time. When it does not work I get this error:
"We timed out waiting for your server at https://www.essential-stuff-store.co...nsehandler.php -- the error we got is: Read timed out Your server must respond faster to merchant calculation callback requests."
If I set CCS to true, I have not yet seen Google calculated rates come through. I just get my defaults. I get the same time error.
When I place orders (in sandbox mode), they come back fine to my cart, i.e. the responsehandler is working and I am using SSL
Question 1: Why is there a read time out error when CCS is set to true? Is it not Googles own rate grabbing software that is not returning rates? Where is the timeout error occuring in the process for CC rates
Question 2: Does sanbox mode have anything to do with this? Does it work better in live mode?
Question 3: My store is on Godaddy. Is that part of the problem? I think I saw a post where someone moved there store to another server and it worked better.
Question 4: Is there anything I can tweak to improve things? I have tried reducing the number of shipping mode to three. Its pretty worthless if I have to go down to just one.
Question 5: Is there a way to calculate tax and shipping as with another payment method and then just pass these values through to GC as the final step. That way, GC is not waiting on much from ZC. A few weeks ago, I tried setting up ZC 1.3.8 with GC and I thought that mode that available. Its not in 1.3.7 which I need for fedex to work. Maybe I am not remembering accurately but it seems this mode was also sporadic.
I would truly appreciate some concise answers.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I am not having success with GC on 1.38. After altering and patching code to update my cart, I still get a Security Error when I try to log in as a customer. When I remove GC files from my templates (primarily tpl_login_default.php as far as I can tell), my shop works fine. As long as the GC button appears, my cart is fu. Does someone have this working? It's just another pain in the ######## for me vis a vis GC!
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Ok, I just installed the latest google checkout module 1.4.5. I'm running php5 and it appears to function properly with the exception of a couple small items which I'm sure I'm just missing some small details somewhere. I've tested in production and here are the couple issues. The shipping estimator for fedex is showing $1 for every option. I see that in the admin there is a section where this is specified, but it looks like I need to type in the flat rates for each option, not quite sure? UPS calculates fine though, but I don't use UPS.
The other problem is with the writeback. I setup the merchant account and key in the admin tool for this module on the .htaccess file. Does google only write back to https...my site, if I don't have the cert installed yet could that be the reason for not writing back?
Other than those issues (big) it works. The order went through, just needed to check google to fullfill it.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi,
If I am understanding correctly, GC is not working for you. It collects the money from the customer, which is fine. The part that I have struggled with, and finally given up on, is the call back. It has to get the shipping info from ZC and put the customer info back in to ZC when the sale is completed. It sounds to me like neither of these are working for your set-up. The $1 Fedex charge is because GC is using the flat rate chart you set up manually, (and set up, and set up, every time you reinstall GC!) Not to discourage you, but I think we are working with a "dog". Today I am going to give the mod that runs GC outside of ZC a try, to see if that will work. I can't believe the hours I have spent on this!
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Gshaffer,
I have GC working with ZC version 1.3.7. I am not sure how well it works with 1.3.8. I need 1.3.7 because the Fedex module flat-out does not work with 1.3.8 (see numerous other posts on that topic).
Call back: You must have an SSL (https) to get call back to work with GC on the production sever. This is pretty clearly stated in the GC documents and I think also in the admin module settings. You must also put the call back URL in the Google seeting on the Google side. This is also spelled out in the GC module docs and looks something like https://www.yourdomain.com/sub dirs to Fedex files/responsehandler.php. I think you need the entire path, which is what I am using and it works.
Shipping: The 1$ values you are getting are the defaults set in ZC-GC admin. See my other posts on this. It is an unresolved issue. It seems that Google does not allow much time for rate info to get collected, either with Mercahnt rates or Carrier (google side) rates. I have posted asked for much more detailed clarification about this issue. My experience is that the rates come back properly intermitently. Try hitting refresh a few times in GC on the page showing the rates. Sometimes I get good rates and sometimes not. You can then look (on your Google business account) under integration/tools and you can see the error messages. It will propably say something about a read timeout. For the short term, put reasonable values in for the defaults and hope the situation improves in the future.

The authors of the the GC module support it from a Google group, not here. Try
http://groups.google.com/group/googl...rt-mod-support.
There are seperate versions of GC now for ZC1.3.7 and 1.3.8. Make sure you have have matching versions of ZC and GC. Also, I have had better luck installing GC as the first installed module on a fresh version of ZC.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I am not sure if this is how the Google Checkout module works but when in Sandbox mode, I can do everything except that my orders never end up in Zen Cart. I have checked the response logs and I see the XML is posted back to my server. I also don't see any errors in the errrors log. I am using v1.4.7 of Google Checkout and v.1.3.8a of Zen cart w/ an SSL certificate.
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
check the settings on the google side and Zen side for the response handler. Make sure everything is consistent. Choose production mode on the zen side. Make sure on the google side you have the full path to the response handler in setting/integration:
https://www.yoursite.com/your_zen_lo...nsehandler.php
Here is mine as an example:
https://www.essential-stuff-store.co...nsehandler.php
If you have all that right, try the Google support group for more detailed help. I am using zen 1.3.7 with GC 1.4.6 so maybe there is a version problem.

So if Zen Cart is using sandbox, it will not record the order in Zen Cart? Again, I am seeing the post back XML envelope in the logs.
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
No. The sandbox should post back. It worked for me. I assume you have the seperate sandbox account and have the responsehandler filled in properly in the sandbox settings. If you have everything set right, and you need to post logfiles, errors and such, you should try the google group for zen cart GC.

Sometimes it just takes walking away for a few. I realized I had my dev URL in the response URL for Google Checkout. Everything is now working beautifully!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I have noticed a possible problem with the Google Checkout module. It could be that something is incorrect with my setup but I think I have checked everything. Once Google Checkout has completed the checkout process and the user is returned to my site, they are logged in. Now this is great except for the fact if they go back to shopping and checkout again, they only can checkout via the standard Zen Cart checkout process because they are logged in. Hopefully I am missing something or there is a way around this.

K, I think I found the problem. I had an issue in my edited template.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I just installed the GC mod and my problem is...I have the Login Box sidebox and when I try to login as a customer it won't log in, and instead goes to the Login page and the message says "ERROR_SECURITY_ERROR." When I hit the login button again, it will then log in.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Someone Please Help!!!
I installed GC for Zen Cart, and signed up for GC and GC sandbox accounts.
It's basically completely ignoring my order

So far, not good!
You should have a GoogleCheckout button on your shopping cart page when you have items in your cart.
It appears that you do not have your GCO template files installed correctly. Wherever the installation instructions say "YOUR_TEMPLATE" in a file path, you should substitute the name of your template directory. You find that by going to Admin->Tools->Template Selection. You will see a column that says Template Directory. The name under there is what you use instead of "YOUR_TEMPLATE". If you haven't installed custom templates, this will usually be "classic".
Good luck!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hello there,
I am using the latest release 1.47 of this mod. It still works great, but when you login as an existing custmer, and you go to the shopping cart, this appears instead of shipping options.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class order in /****/****/public_html/includes/classes/order.php on line 1126
If turn GC off, it goes away and shipping options display. I am pretty sure it must be the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php file. If I revert to a template that uses the template_default files only, the problem doesn't appear.
It is possible that it might be another mod as I uploaded two others before noticing this little glitch. But everything resolves once GC is off.
By the way, if you are not logged in, it gives you shipping estimator at shopping cart page.
Many thanks in advance,
Heathenmagic:smile:

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hello all and Happy New Year!
I want to use GC as payment method for a website with multiple warehouses, and I realized GC only allow to set only ONE callback url.
There is any way to have multiple shops with the same GC account, or I'll have to create separate accounts for each shop?
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
From what I understand you have to have separate accounts for each shop. However, can't you setup the invoice so that it shows the name of both warehouses?
For instance, mine could be
Bird Oasis / Birders Binoculars
or
Bird Oasis & Birders Binoculars
or
Patrick Enterprises
Having Patrick Enterprises as the main business, and making sure that the footer, and shopping cart page show that payments will be sent to Patrick Productions.

I'm having the same problem. I've already had 3 orders through GC and its not showing in admin. I am getting emails from Google saying it's failing. I have zen v1.3.8 and the GC for it.
Don't know what the htacess thing is though?

Re: Invalid or not supported Message
htaccess is the file on your ftp, if the GC mod requires it you have to edit to match what they instructed to add to it.
-
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Is it possible to configure it so that google checkout is the sole checkout method? I'd like to do this at first while I consider other payment options.
Thanks in advance.

I was having the same problem. I went back to the README file and found:
"3. Set the file attribute to 777 for /googlecheckout/logs/response_error.log and
/googlecheckout/logs/response_message.log files.
4. Go to http://<url-site-url>/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php
If you get a 'Invalid or not supported Message', 'Fail to get HTTP Authentication',
or a request for User and Password, go to the next section."
I changed the permissions to 777 and now it works/ The Invalid or Not Supported Message is supposed to be there, I think. I went to my admin and the order that was processed and didn't show up in the admin was now there! So check your permissions on both of those files and then let us know what happens. I think think that is all there is to it.

Re: Invalid or not supported Message
Maybe someone has already asked this, but why is all of the styling hard coded into the button code? I am just curious about the decision not to have id's classes and a stylesheet? Is there a chance of a change in future releases?
Anyway, cheers for puting this together, it has saved me a lot of time.

I suspect to make it easer for Google to control the presentation of the button and the text around the button, to make the presentation consistent across all the ecommerce applications and lessen opportunity for shopowners to manipulate the presentation. Just a guess.
Future GC mod for ZC development appears to be in limbo as the mod is currently without a developer. See the official support site for more info.

I see. The problem is that one size fits all never works and it is basically bad coding practice.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi folks,
I've installed the Google Checkout Mod on my site and it works fine, payments go through, orders show up in the admin screen and adjusting them through the admin screen affects my seller's account in Google Checkout.
I just have one problem and I hope someone can shed some light here for me...
When Google Checkout creates the new user's account in my cart after the order has been placed it doesn't do it quite right, resulting in the following error when I go to view customers.
PHP Code:
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/customers.php on line 1099
Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/customers.php on line 1101
Warning: reset() [function.reset]: Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/mgfregis/public_html/shop/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 29
I've searched through the forums here and on the Google Groups page but can't seem to find anyone with the same problem.
I've followed the installation instructions and this was installed on a fresh cart, I've read the readme through and checked all the common errors but I'm still getting it.
Hope you can help!!

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Ok setting up the shipping for google checkout is very confusing to
me.....We are using zone rates at the moment for our shipping
calculation...I would like to use the same methods for the google
checkout module but it is unclear how this can be setup to me....
Here is the zone setup:
USA orders
under $85 = $9.95 shipping
over $85 = $0 free shipping
International Shipping - 4 zones setup (won't list each one here)
under $250 = $20 - $35 shipping (depending on the country)
over $250 = $0 free shipping (all countries)
How can I set this up? Do I have to clone some other shipping modules for each zone?
Thanks for your help....

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I've installed everything, but for some reason the Google Checkout button does not redirect to Google Checkout from the Login Page. Any ideas? Here's how to recreate the problem i'm seeing:
1. Go to www.vitaminsupplementsstore.com
2. Without loggin in/creating an account, add a product to the cart
3. Hit the checout button
4. From here you have the option to login, create an account or use paypal or GC.
Paypal is working perfectly, but GC does not. I appreciate any help or ideas.

How do use google analytics ecommerce to track conversion if I soley use this mod of payment without any orders going to the zen admin/ user account created.

I set up google checkout on ZC and I'm currrently trying to test it using sandbox.
When I click the google checkout button and enter my credit card details and click continue I get

Does anyone have any idea as to what's going wrong?
It's running on a Win 2003 server

I've just posted this on the thread in google but in case others aren't watching that forum, here it is again.
I was getting the same error 403 but as the page (link below) states, you should use a separate buyers account and a test credit card number. It worked for me.

When I try to go to responsehandler.php I get sent to a 500 page error or back to my home page (if my 500 page error redirect is in place). Any help on why this is happening now when id was fine before? Thanks!

HI Amy!,
did you by a chance updated the .htaccess ??
IF not give it a try to create a new one, remember to change permission to 777 first
Marcelo
.htaccess Basic Authentication Mode
Your site Site in installed with PHP over CGI?
This configuration will disable PHP Basic Authentication that is NOT compatible with CGI used in the responsehandler.php to validate Google Checkout messages.
If setted True you MUST configure your .htaccess files here.
False

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi Everyone,
I've installed and used GCO successfully for quite a while now ... I just upgraded to:
Zen Cart 1.3.8a
Database Patch Level: 1.3.8
I installed a fresh copy of the new GoogleCheckout 1.4.7, and ever since doing so, it's broken.
GoogleCheckout seems to work from the cart page, but if you choose to bypass Google Checkout and go to the regular checkout, the login page is broken.
Underneath the "registered users - sign in here", and then it says "Or use:" ...
See here:
https://www.getskinsnow.com/index.php?main_page=login
Of course, it will be OK without any products in the cart, so to re-create the error:
1. add a product to cart
2. instead of clicking the GoogleCheckout button, click "Continue to Checkout"
3. there you'll see the issue on the login screen ...
from there on, it's broken - doesn't even display the footer. I've re-uploaded and re-uploaded the template files over and over - they are in my custom template folder where they've always been - I even tried them in the /classic folder.
If I disable GoogleCheckout, the login page loads fine.
I've left it in "broken state" in hopes that someone can help me figure this out quickly - this is a live site, and I usually get several orders per day, but haven't gotten orders in 2+ days, so I knew something must be wrong.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hello all -
I had hoped to get someone looking at this overnight, but I can't keep my store broken this long, so I disabled GoogleCheckout ... but I'll re-enable it if someone PM's or contacts me that can look at the code - or if everything I said below makes sense - I really need some help. I need to turn GoogleCheckout back on, but I can't get new customers with regular checkout as long as it's enabled right now.

It supports all shipping options for USPS, FedEx and UPS. You just have to configure it correctly.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hey Gang -
3 days of downtime, and still no resolution here - I've reinstalled GoogleCheckout and Zen cart 3x.
I think it HAS to be something to do w/ the tpl-default-login.php file ... this is where the issue occurs. Like I said, if I disable GoogleCheckout, everything works fine. As soon as I enable GoogleCheckout, the login page won't display correctly - it stops loading just where it would normally show the GoogleCheckout badge, and stops loading any code below that.
Driving me CRAZY - does anyone have a suggestion as to how to start over or make this work? I've re-uploaded the template files over and over.
The rest of Google Checkout seems to work fine - when it's enabled, it works if you go straight there (w/o clicking continue to checkout), and the admin area is fine - all the order info is there ....
Thanks,
FRED

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hey,
I'm using the regular files, and a custom template we created, that worked for a long time, until now. The login page still works fine, until GoogleCheckout is enabled, then it breaks.
But, turning on GoogleCheckout does change the login page, or at least, it includes some extra code - this seems to be where it's messing up.
One thing i"ve not tried is reverting to an older template and trying it that way.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi - to further elaborate, I'm using the /includes/templates/template_default/templates included in the ZenCart installation (most recent), and then when I install GoogleCheckout, it installs these:
/includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/ and the 5 of them listed there.
tpl_login_default.php is here .. and I'm not sure if this file overrides the one in /includes/templates/templates_default/templates or not ... but this seems to be where the issue resides .. on that tpl_login_default.php file - at least, that's where I have issues when I enable Google Checkout.

Not sure what the "regular files" you refer to.
At any rate since you use a custom template you must MERGE the changes/diffs in your template files with the template files provided with GC mod. Use WinMerge or BeyondCompare to do this. And as to your follow-up question best to review the Zen Cart FAQ on template overrides.

My gco is not intergrated with zen cart, so i've just assigned flat rate prices for shipping
free shipping
2 day
overnight.
For some reason Overnight shipping has stopped working, meaning if you choose it, it doesn't change the total. It works however in safari on windows, but safari on osx will not work. firefox on both will not work, and ie works 100%
What could it be? This is an old version of GCO module 1.4.3 but it has worked fine thus far and since I don't intergrate them togeather I don't see the need to update, anyone?
