I should install wordpress in the same database as Zen Cart so that when I click backup, it will backup wordpress as well?
If wordpress is installed in the same database as Zen Cart, then the backup plugin tool in Zen Cart will include your wordpress tables in its backup also.

I supposed I will have to do another database, otherwise the Shop database could be wiped out during installation? Please confirm if what I'm thinking is right or wrong...
Thank you for DrByte, support.
The backup is possible together so that DrByte replies if you appoint a database same as Zen-Cart.
You can appoint a different database at the time of WordPress installation.
Re: Wordpress On Zencart / Released
Hira,
Any idea why some of us are having problems with the sidebox links not working correctly?
I currently have this installed and working in it's own file, but when I tried to put it in the root folder, the links did not work again.
Your my last hope!

I have successfully installed this so far, but have a problem with clicking on links in the sideboxes and other links.
They seem to resolve similar to this:-
main_page=wordpress/?page_id=2
when clicked, you go to the home page.

I think that you do not carry out step 2 of readme.
[WordPress admin URL] › Options › General
[Blog address (URL)] change to [Zen-Cart URL].
Re: Wordpress On Zencart / Released
Hi DrByte & Hira
thanks for your advice. I've succesfully installed the wordpress on zencart module to my zencart, using the same database as zen cart, but install at the different directory as zencart. everything looks nice on my screen, however, when I asked my frens to check on the website, they always encounter network error, or the website is not fully loaded at all. It seems like it is my server problem. but I do worry that the wordpress module will slow down the site as a whole, and to the extent that it will not load at all? this is worrying....
regards,
nataliajoe

Visited site...
1. WordPress integration can make site load slightly
slower, especially when wp sql is integrated into zencart sql.
2. Could be webhosting server.
3. Your header logo image is over 55k in size..should only
be less than 20k max.
4. You also have flash image, on home page, half
way down.. this is also loading slowly..
5. Javascript nav bar
not helping loading times..

Re: Wordpress On Zencart / Released
Hi All,
I still haven't figured out this Wordpress thing. I now have wordpress and zen cart in the same directory. The only thing is I do not have a clue where to put my wordpress index page or how to point to it from the wordpress admin. I've been at this for week's now and have tried so many different things and can't seem to get it right. If someone can point me in the right direction that would be great. I just need to know what path to point to or create if I have to for wordpress. Thanks guys!
Re: Wordpress On Zencart / Released
Hi Misty,
will those reasons below slowing the website down to the extent that user see "network error" message at their end?
