Are you sure you need the .htaccess enabled? I don't have it enabled on mine and all works well. I believe it is only required to be enabled if you are running PHP over CGI. You might try to deactivate that setting and see if it works.

So what I am asking is where do I start looking for the problem, they seem to be able to use it, but nothing is passed to the cart, and I am not being notified, I am really lost here I don't want to turn it off, but I need it to integrate with the cart properly, any help would be great.
Do you have an SSL cert installed and activated? Any entries in your log files or at the Google end?

I've had GCO working on 1.3.8a since the beginning. Works well, but can be a pain to set up (any version...)

Does anyone have a fix for this?
Check your installation again, especially where you installed the template files.
If your installation is correct, you will see the full-color icon on your shopping cart page and on your login page when you have items in your shopping cart. You may also see a grayed out version on the login page if there are no items in the shopping cart.
If you don't see it either place, check your installation. Try this thread:

I have a godaddy cert installed and there is an error on the GC side I am trying to fix it now, it seems to be a problem with permissions on my server, it's getting an error when it tries to talk to ZC

I found out that that option has to be configured just right. You need to have blanks in all options except the ones you want to use.
Thanks! I really don't want free shipping for my Google orders. People don't seem to mind paying and it helps cover the fees that Google charges. So what I did was just remove the text from the language defines file so that it doesn't show up anymore :D

I turned it off and placed an order and it worked but it did not show up in my admin nor did I get notification of it. I did see this in my Who's Online:

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi,
I hope no one is intimidated by my super ZC persona. I'm really quite a wimp.
I'm running ZC v1.3.7 with GCO v1.4.beta1
Has anyone had success with GCO using a shared SSL certificate?
I'll buy my own certificate if it'll solve the problem. Okay, I'm a cheap wimp.
Am I the only one who finds it odd that Google wants to become one of the multi-billion dollar players in the credit card payment processing business but without posting a telephone number with which to resolve problems!!?
Does anyone know how to contact Google for some help?
