Re: Facebook - eCommerce Catalog Browse [Support]
Hi
The issue is being caused by data automatically being added to the feed.
Some plug-in is adding:
<body>
<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.8";
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, "script", "facebook-jssdk"));</script>
</body>
As a result, the data feed is no long valid JSON and it being rejected by the Facebook app. If you can disable this from being added to fb_browse.php, then the problem should be resolved
Kind regards

What is the correct link to the facebook app needed?
Re: Facebook - eCommerce Catalog Browse [Support]
Yes is should work with version V1.5.6A and the correct link for adding the app to your page is:
http://www.facebook.com/add.php?api_...pages=1&page=1
Re: Facebook - eCommerce Catalog Browse [Support]
Thanks for the link. I get the following error message from Facebook:
This page does not have permission to install the custom tab.
I googled and read that one would need at least 2000 likes in order for this to work. Is that right?

Re: Facebook - eCommerce Catalog Browse [Support]
Unfortunately, yes. Last year Facebook made a change so the tabs/apps can only be installed to Pages with more than 2000 likes. In addition to this they had previously blocked the custom tabs from being visible on their mobile site. You can now only link to a native phone app rather than viewing the tab directly.
The system still works well for a few of our customers when their clients are more desktop browser-based, but we are no longer actively marketing this product. It's gradually been replaced by Facebook own eCommerce solution launched not long after some of the new restrictions came into force.
