HELP trouble with explorer & image sizes
Hello, I have installed Ajax image swapper and I love the module but I´m having trouble with internet explorer and image sizes.
With firefox everything seems to go allright but with explorer when you go to http://www.piperitahouse.com/menta/i...&products_id=6 for example and I click on the images to zoom them, when I return to the page the little thumbnails are huge and the whole page is distorted.
Please help me with this issue.
Thank you very much.
Jacobo.

I have now installed it onto a server based demo shop. See

PHP is 5.2.6 (Zend 2.2.0) , SQL 5.0.51a-community
I have all the menu options that I think I need on the admin console, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything to the products?
Please tell me I am missing something really stupid in the 'how to use it' stakes.
Christine
Hi Christine,
Did you remember to make the changes to the tpl_product_info_display.php?

From the readme, what is this referring to?
Secondly, after attemting to install the SQL I am receiving this:
I had already had Faul Slimbox installed on my site prior to installing this module. Also, as I mentioned previously, I do also have IH2 installed. Should I uninstall Faul since it is incorporated into the mod? Or should I not run the SQL for the AJAX mod?
Any help would be appreciated.
I think that Jay is just saying that if you're already using the mootools library there is no need to install it twice since he hasn't modified the library or taken out what he isn't using.
I can't be much help on the sql thing, but you do need to run the AIS sql patch to get everything else that AIS needs installed, for what that's worth. I don't know AIS's compatibility with IH2
Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread
Arghhh... I did when I first installed it... but I didn't use that install because I got sidetracked with XAMPP probs, and I forgot to do it for the classic template & the new one I was testing!!! arghhhh!
That was it! Thanks
Christine
Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread
Hello, apart from the size error on microsoft explorer (something to do with the cache, when I access the full image and then return to the product info page, the small pictures os the multiple images are HUGE) now I have this new error:
Note:
Orphaned data example: Image row pointing to empty attribute_id / products_id,
it could happen from for example if you removed a product before removing its attribute_images
AIS is completely blocked.
Any ideas?
Thank you Thank you Thank you.
Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread
Sorry for that last extremely stupid post-
AIS wan't working, i re-uploaded the files and now it's ok.
I posted the note, the perennial note, as an error, must be tired and having allucinations.
I still have the same problem with explorer:
if you go to http://www.piperitahouse.com/menta/i...products_id=21
and you play with the two images you will see what im talking about...
Ohhh the pain, the terrible pain...

Where are you seeing that error?
Also I looked at the page source of your site, your thumbnail images are actually 640 by 427 pixels. I can't say why that is because it's obviously resized the medium one. So it's not that IE is messing up somehow, it's that other browsers are just paying attention to the height and width rules and cramming the large image into those dimensions and IE isn't. If that is a production site and you need a quick fix I'd resize the images manually and overwrite the ones on your server (use the same file name of course). I think that'll leave the browsers that are working alone and fix your IE issue. Are you uploading the largest image you have to the small image field in AIS? If you do that it should be making a thumbnail (keeping the original file name), a medium image in your medium directory (appends _MED to file name) and large image in your large directory (appends _LRG to file name).
Re: AJAX IMAGE Swapper support thread
Hello,
I´ve tried introducing the images with AIS in http://www.piperitahouse.com/menta/i...products_id=22
and allthough the jpeg compression is a bit low the resizing problems are solved, but new problems appear on the produc listing
The image os the product appear smaller.
There seems to be some kind of incompatibility between file-names.
When i use zen cart catalog or Image Handler a lot of incompatibilities appear...
What am I doig wrong?
Why firefox works with my last page and explorer messes things up?
Thank you.

Just noticed: After installation there is, as should be, a Admin - Catalog - AJAX Image Swapper Manager. However, there is
not a Admin - Configurations - AJAX Image Swapper where there should be. Also,
if you look at a product page, there is no main image, just the annoying spinning thing.
That's connected to the sql error you just got when installing. Try running the sql installer from line 93 to bottom.
Yeah thats sorta annoying isnt it heh
