Configuration --> Images --> Product Info--Image Width
And
Configuration --> Images --> Product Info--Image Height
You can set either width/height with a "0" which will allow the image to scale proportional.

Image handler & ultimate seo works lovely togther I've being using this combo since 1.26 and have used it on every version of zen since 1.3. However you MUST install seo before image handler, don't know why but it can go in a huff if it isn't done this way.

Ok. I have been experiencing the same problem with my additional images not showing. So I have read the threads and have narrowed it down to the culprit being Zen Light Box. This file that is uploaded with the Zen Light Box module is the problem: additional_images.php
I removed the altered file and now my additional images are showing up. They don't get the wow factor of the light box but the additional image is working and the main image does get to use the light box feature.
So if anyone can look at the additional_images.php file that is loaded with Zen Light Box to see where the hick up is that would be great.
This fixed it for me anyway. Try it and see.

It was long, long, ago, but I used IH and Lightbox in the same install with NO problems, what-so-ever. You might try using WinMerge to merge the two. Just an idea. Gotta go for a while. Let us know if this helps (hope so). If not, when I get back, we'll compare mine with yours, and see if we can spot the difference.
I've got this installed on two sites and have the same issue on both. It seems to work fine on some pages but not others. For example, http://www.zen-cart.com/modules/ipb/...howtopic=46701
IH2 works on the images in the upsell and cross sell boxes at the bottom of the page but not on the product image. On the home page, IH2 does not on the images in the best sellers box but it works on the images on the category pages.
I assume it's supposed to work on the product image, right?

Having a major headache i'm using Zen Cart 1.38a
My admin folder is renamed for security reasons but having problems now with an installed image handler 2 ( installed it after renaming admin folder )
Nothing works and my site has gone down on me after the install to boot.
I can't upload images using image handler and of course site is down completely. I figure i need to rename some things in certain files of the image handler but what files need changed ?
I have installed image handler before and it worked great but now the admin folder has been renamed not only does nothing work but my sites down.
Do i need to rename my admin folder BACK to admin ? I wanted it to be something else as an additional security measure.
I wish the search function worked better as i cannot find the information i need in among over 240 pages of info.

I've installed this image handler on several websites, and not had a problem with it before...
When I upload all the files for the image handler.. everything works just fine, but when I go to install it in the admin, everything in my main content area goes away... everything! Not just the images... has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it..??
I'm running version 1.3.7 with a custom template, PHP Version: 4.4.8, GD, no ImageMagick... I think that's all anyone would need to know... :huh:

I’m having the same problem with mine, but the weird thing is, it’s intermittent. I did do something, I have the admin profiles mod installed and I actually gave and then removed the image handler permissios to another usr and poof! no more hover effect!
A funny thing is that it is working for additional images but not for the main product images! Both mods are not new and they were working togaather so well up to now, I am so frusterated.

Pure co-incidence. The hover javascript is run exclusively in the catalog side of your site. Admin Profiles operates purely on the Admin side. There's no scope for overlap.Quote:

I installed Image Handler version 2 in Zen Cart 1.3.8A and the large and medium images are not being uploaded for the 2nd and addtional images.
I had installed a older verison of IH on another store with not problems.

Yes, it is working now. the problem is with the instructions.
The instructions state that the jscript_imagehover.js is supposed to be in the template_default/jscript
However the hover didn't work until I moved it to my custom template jscript folder.
I am surprised after reading this forum that there is no FIX for IH2, pretty disappointing. I will remove this mod. It has been nothing but a big waste of my time and I see others have not fixed theirs yet.
1 image for product will work but additional LARGE and MEDIUM images to not get created or uploaded.
No explanation of the category_product_listing.php.patch file found in admin\includes\modules
Even if you had an older Image Handler version working this one probably won't.
Support here shows no FIX and my suggestion is do not download and waste your time. Read the forum and there is not FIX for IH2 and any Zen Cart version.

Image Handler is supposed to resize the images and upload them into the image/ image/LARGE and image/MEDIUM folder which it does not do.
What version of Zen Cart are you using?
File sizes are 455KB to 176KB.

Could it be that the large image that works is 733x550 and the one that doesn't is 1024x768?
Trouble shooting tips:
Have you cleared all the sub-folders (delete) from the bmz_cache folder? You can do this from IH admin or use your host control panel or FTP.
Instead having an image 1024x768, try a smaller image. This might be more of GD libraries or ImageMagick problem. Be sure to clear bmz_cache sub-folders first.
How are you uploading the images?

My in production store has no mods, this is the first and only one and should work pretty easy I thought!
Before I upload an image the file permission is 644. My image/ folder permission and the bmz_cache/ folders are 755.
IH2 or GD Libraries changes the image permissions to 600 during upload on the webserver. (Vendio web hosting)
The main image even though permission is 600 will display properly including large.
Additional images do not load after IH2 uploades them with 600 permissions. Size is not the factor rather the permission 600 is the factor I beleive, or the mod files.
If I upload using FTP my images arrive on server as 644 which are viewable and IH2 appears to fully work.
All three items on this web site http://wcironsales.com/store have different examples included in the description.

I'm having a problem with loading my additional images. I thought this had to do with Easy Populate, but I just realized that it seems to be a filepath issue.
I upload my products through Easy Populate, including the url for the main image. These images are uploaded and resized with no problem. If I then use IH2 through the admin to add an additional image, I get the following error:

As you can see, I have my image files organized in sub-folders within the image folder. Is there a way to tell IH to look for the 1st file in images/products/*/... (the last level depends on manufacturer) instead of directly in the 'images' folder? I tested one that I uploaded with EP with no sub-folders, and I was able to add an additional image through admin after the upload.
I have tried changing the permissions in ..public_html/admin/includes/ih_manager.php to 777 and still get the same error message. Line 175 of this file reads:
if ( !move_uploaded_file($source_name, $destination_name) ) {
I'm using zen 1.3.7, ih 2.0, and ep 1.2.5.4
I guess I've kind-of figured this out through writing this, but is there a fix without giving up my sub-directories in the image folder?

I am trying to figure out why image handler does not enlarge images on my site.
I tried a few things like checking permissions, applying Post #999, deleting folders in BMZ Folder, checking image sizes. If anyone can give me advise, it would be much appreciated.

str_replace doesn't accept regular expression args... preg_replace does.

On Summer's cart, the small image size was different than the new products image size and some of the other small sizes that should have the hover effect. They have to match the small image size for it to work :) .

IH2 is installed an working great. I have a question regarding the "tool tip" hover I'm seeing. eg:

(The Categories view is default for the store). When hovered the cursor grows a little yellow dialog that displays the image ALT text. This is distracting and redundant as the images are titled.
On the product listing page eg

There is no hovering tool tip, and here it would actually be useful.
On product Info page the tool tip is back, and very redundant when it appears on the additional image, since the page has the image title, the fly-out hover image has the image title and the tool tip has the image title. A bit much. And it also appears on all navigation buttons, again redundant as the nav buttons are text.
So, first of all, is this IH2 that's doing it, and if so what I would like is the tool tip to not appear at all, or perhaps just on the Product Listing page images. And I don't se how. Any ideas?

not so sure it a zen problem, my opinion is it is a server issue not allowing IH to do its job, mine are at 666 (via IH2)

Something disturbing happens with Opera web browser....Instead of showing larger images when you hover your mouse over an image i am getting my zenid showing....now surely this shouldn't happen ?
Works perfectly with Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Safari web browsers.

Tried to find some info on this in the documentation and on the forum but doesnt seem to be possible right now. What i want is more image sizes then just the default, medium and large. Any zennies who have experience with that?
I want it cause i would like to use different sizes for the extra pics in the product info display, different size for x-sell, differente size for product listing, etc.

Alright, I've looked and searched through this sticky as well as the rest of the forum, and so far I haven't found an answer...I'm using the latest zen cart, and image handler2, my problem is that when the hover is turned on, the images of products that can be hovered are always on top, which is a problem whenever I try to navigate the site using the category sidebox, which I have dressed up. The subcategory columns are underneath the image. This can be seen at http://testcart.racesteering.com and if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.
