I thought I had my site just the way I wanted it and then I opened it up in IE6 - Arggghhhhh! It looks fine in FF and Safari but in IE6 all the formatting seems to be off and it looks terrible. Can anyone help?
The site is: http://www.e x p r e s s m e t a b o l i c s . c o m / z e n c a r t
I spaced it out because it's not a live store yet and I don't want the se's picking it up yet. Anyway, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Bekah
sorry i just found the answer!
Does this happen in my test site http://www.cherryzen.jadetrue.com? If not, then reload the original stylesheet to your site, and see if it still happens. If it looks fine, then it was some change that you made causing it. Then apply your changes a little at a time.
Hi Jade -
I would like to increase the width size of my attributes box to the max. on the various product pages on my new sit at www.clonecopies.net (have looked through but cannot seem to find the answer anywhere in the faq's)

Good Afternoon Jade
Thanks for producing such a nice template set. YUP, I buttering you up for a favor...
Is there any chance that you have an image set in Navy Blue? or a little lighter, about the same color as a US Flag's blue field.
I can do allot of things technically, but my artistic side hasn't kicked in yet.
Thanks again for a fine template.
JOhn ><>
It can match this blue or I can adapt this to the shade you have.

Jade, on another note, is there any way to achieve this effect?

I would even like to get the flagpole higher so that the flag stuck up over the top of the bar a little more.

Hello,
when i want to change the width of the boxes it doesnt work, why?
Hi jettrue,
I just wanted to say Thank You for your excellent Template and support on theis thread.
I have just installed Zen Cart for the first time and installed your Template on my site Today, and worked everything out by reading all your excellent replies here.
Just goes to show you that if you like something and get stuck, follow the thread and most answers are there.
I have also installed Easy Populate and now have that working as well after 5 hours of trying.
Once again Thank You very much for all your effort.
Best Regards to you and your family.
Anne.
P.S. A big thank You to all forum members who as well for making this place a pleasure to be part of.
Hi Markus,
I'm new here as well but will try to help.
have you followed this from the read me:
I'm not saying you havent read it, just trying to be helpful.
Regards,
Anne.
8. Go to "Configuration", "Layout Settings" and set the left and right sideboxes to "150px" wide. Notice there are two spots to do this for both the left and right sideboxes, so you have to enter "150px" 4 times. If you want a wider column width, pleas read #5 in the TIPS section below.
5. To change the width of the sideboxes, open up the admin, and change the widths of the left and right columns under "Configuration", "Layout Settings". Note that this needs to be changed in two spots for each side.
Lets say you increase the width of both sideboxes to 170px (20px more - the original is 150px), you'll need to open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/css/stylesheet.css and change .outer's padding-right to 170px (20 px more) and change all the instances of 165px in the section below, to 185px (20 px more):
Code:
.outer {
padding-left: 165px; /* Same width as margin-left for the float-wrap div */
padding-right: 150px; /* Our right column width */
}
.inner {
width: 100%;
}
.float-wrap {
float: left;
width: 97%;
margin-left: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
}
#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
NOW, the grey background behind the sidebox will still be 150px wide, so you need to open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/images/sidebox.gif and change it to 170px wide, and re-upload the changed image.
Is it possible to close the gaps in the registration/signup form? There are gaps between the fields.
Thanks
Found the problem.
Change this in stylesheet.css
with thisCode:LABEL.inputLabel {
width:90%;
float:left;
margin:.3em;
}
Code:LABEL.inputLabel {
/*width:90%;*/
width: 11em;
float:left;
margin:.3em;
}
Tried replacing it with the original sylesheet and it still comes up wrong. On the right side the sidebox headers are correct but the sidebox graphic (background) gets cut off and the ez pages bar, logo, and menu bar all get cut off on the right side. Same thing with the original stylesheet.
Is it something on my IE settings? Or can anyone else with IE6 see the same thing I'm seeing?
Thanks. I did the changes.
But now i have this problem:
http://hosting03.imagecross.com/imag...6274Image3.png
As you can see, that space on the right is much less than the left.
How can i set the same size?
Hello, my website is http://footballmaniax.com/.
And below is how i edited that part of the stylesheet.css
I also edited the sidebox.gif to be 170px large.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help :smile:PHP Code:
}
.outer {
padding-left: 185px; /* Same width as margin-left for the float-wrap div */
padding-right: 150px; /* Our right column width */
}
.inner {
width: 100%;
}
.float-wrap {
float: left;
width: 97%;
margin-left: -185px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
}
#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -185px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
That's from the readme, see the part in bold, that is what you missed.Quote:
Lets say you increase the width of both sideboxes to 170px (20px more - the original is 150px), you'll need to open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/css/stylesheet.css and change .outer's padding-right to 170px (20 px more) and change all the instances of 165px in the section below, to 185px (20 px more)
Yes i forgot that value, but changing only that, things went worst:
http://hosting03.imagecross.com/imag...8852Image1.png
So, i changed also the margin-right value here below to 170 (it was 150):
Now the columns look right but still the central page it's not right centered (still more space on the right):PHP Code:
#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -170px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */

Hi all,
I'm just setting up some info on an ezpage. I copy/pasted from my old site, and the formatting (to my surprise) stayed pretty good. The problem is that the page footer seems embedded behind my info. That is, my content hasn't 'pushed' the footer to the foot...
Page is http://www.h a m i l t o n t a y l o r.co.uk/zen/index.php?main_page=page&id=15
I guess its something in the html, but I'm not codey enough find the problem. If this is not a Cerry Zen issue, apologies, and I'll take it elsewhere...
Thanks in advance,
Sean
It's because your site is so wide. If your logo were only 1000px, then it wouldn't do that. I would actually suggest that you do that, your site is a little too wide, in my opinion, and even on my widescren, high resolution monitor, I have to increase my browser width, because I don't keep my browser super wide.
Anyway, if you want to keep your logo at 1250, you can change the 97% of .float-wrap to 98%.
Also, you can remove the padding-left:15px of #logo to remove the white space to the left of your logo.
It's because of all the absolute positioning used. The site doesn't know that its supposed to "contain" that information, as the absolute positioning has taken it out of the flow of the site.
But a quick and dirty fix is to change the very first div in front of that content from this:
<div>
to this:
<div style="height:1200px;">
Now i edited the logo to be 1000px wide.
But the site doesnt change its width.
And how i center logo? The file readme says: "remove float:left; from the #logo tag in the css", i did so but it doesnt work.
Also i did not understand if i did right to edit the value in this part:
PHP Code:
#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -170px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
Yes, I'm sorry, I've added this to my instructions for the next update.
Here's the original:
So change the 150px to 170px, and the 170px to 190px.Code:#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -150px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
* html #navColumnTwo {
margin-right: -170px !important; /* Fixes IE6 Issue */
}
I uploaded here the stylesheet.css that is on use in the site at the moment: http://footballmaniax.com/stylesheet.css.txt
If you want to take a look at it. Thanks.
I did with attention the changes you suggested.
I think now it's everything ok.
Also the site looks better. Thanks for your suggestions.
I have 2 other questions:
1. when i use some german letters as "üöäß" in the name of the subdirectories of the products they dont appear correctly when i set german language in the site. With other languages i can see correctly these letters. Why?
2. How can i add a little image to be on the left of the name of categories in the menu in the sidebox?
Sorry, another question:
which value do i have to change to center vertically the words in this menu?
http://hosting03.imagecross.com/imag...8113Image1.png
As you can see the space under the words is more.
Thanks again.
And when i set language to french and i choose a product, why the images do not appear any more? :unsure:

You'll have to open up includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php and move the attributes section (beginning at <!-- bof Attributes module--> and ending at <!-- eof attributes module -->)
to BELOW <!-- end of rightFloat-->
Then if you want the add to cart box above all the attributes, don't do anything else, but if you want the add to cart box below all the attributes, move the <!--bof add to cart --> BELOW <!-- eof attributes module-->
thanx a bunch, cant wait to get home to try it;

Is there a way to do this? Even if I have to cut the logo image into 3 pieces?
JOhn ><>
Smart thinking, I didn't think of that. Sounds like you are on the right track by splitting it into two images. Good luck while you troubleshoot to get it just right! It can be tricky getting things positioned just right. Trial and error will get you there, though.
Hi,
Well I've been looking through this forum for ages & can't find an answer to my problem so thought I post it.
I have changed the image sizes of all my products under the admin panel, but can't find anywhere to change the size of the images under the Specials. Guess it must be simple, but just can't find it for all the looking... Not even sure this has anything to do with the cherry zen bit! :lookaroun
Hope someone can help me! Thankyou!
I'm new to Zen Cart, but not PHP. I've been trying to change the following source code, but can't for the life of me figure out where to configure it. Is it configured inside of ZenCart's admin or do I have to edit the PHP code? If I have to edit the code, can someone please tell me which file I will have to edit-Cherry Zen or the default template & file name.

I'm having a problem with a site i'm working on. I'm getting a blank page when i click the button to go to the 2nd part of the checkout procedure.
I've downloaded and installed the error logging tool and it came back with this error message:
Now I have been discussing this with a few people on the Zen forum as initially I thought it was probably the functions_general.php page that was at fault, see the following thread http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119717... But following some further advice i've got it appears that it may be a page in the cherry_zen template folder, flat.phpQuote:
[09-Feb-2009 13:16:53] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/u30chri/public_html/sienna/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/cherry_zen/flat.php:53) in /home/u30chri/public_html/sienna/includes/functions/functions_general.php on line 44
I've notice that flat.php isn't part of the installation package for cherry_zen so the file must be dynamically created by zen cart or cherry zen itself.
Can someone please tell me how/why this page is created, and whether from wat you can see from my screen grab what's wrong with the coding. At present line 53 on the flat.php page is blank!!!
No, cherry zen does not randomly create files, nor does zen cart. Some human put the file there, and there is something wrong with the file.
Read this readme about headers already sent errors.
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=87
You say a Human put it there, can you clarify whether or not flat.php is a bonafide cherry zen or zen cart file??
Well, like you said, it's not in the cherry_zen download, so, no, it's not a bonafide cherry zen file. There is a flat.php originally in zen cart, under /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/
My guess is, someone probably changed flat.php, moved it to the cherry_zen folder (which is perfect use of the override system), but as I see from your post, you're having problems with CuteFTP messing up your files, so now that corrupted or improperly formatted file has messed up your checkout process. Is the original flat.php in includes/languages/english/modules/shipping? If so, you can delete the cherry_zen one.
But it was not "created" by zen cart or cherry_zen.
First of all thanks for the great template.
I got it working very quickly but I have a very weird problem with IE. I have not changed anything in the setting of the template and it drives me crazy.
I am using zencart 1.38 and Cherry Zen template 1.7
The problem is in the product info. If I have a normal product everything shows ok in product listing and in product info. Nevertheless if I create a downloadable product then the product info page breaks with the left hand column content dropping down. This happens only in IE .
You can see it here: http://www.dedemarco.com.au/index.ph...roducts_id=198
Tried to find solution here but could not. Thanks for any help tha you guys can provide.

OK I figured it out. For everyone else that may get/have the same problem, it is very easy to fix once you know where to look at :-)
Just change the following in the stylesheet.css line 393 :
#productAttributes {
width:100%;
float:left;
border:1px solid #bfbfbf;
padding-left:5px;
margin:5px 0 0 10px;
}
Change to :
#productAttributes {
width:80%;
float:left;
border:1px solid #bfbfbf;
padding-left:5px;
margin:5px 0 0 10px;
}
The width can not be 100% because IE has a problem with it when attributes are used. Hope that helps .

Jade (your awesome)
I'm a zen cart and php newbie, so you'll have to excuse my terminology.
I'm using the latest zen cart and your wonderful Cherry zen template.
I've added three logos to my site and managed to get them all working right, but still have a couple of concerns.
First, I had difficulty sizing them.
I followed directions and tried to do it in header.php.
When I edited this file I was able to change the logo and alt text but entering a different size didn't change things.
Under advice from this site I changed the <div id+"logo"> statement in tpl_header.php to include HEADER_LOGO_WIDTH and HEADER_LOGO_HEIGHT.
That made it all work and everything seems fine.
My concern is that you left those out for a reason and I might be causing myself some grief further down the line.
My other question is about this template being fluid.
What exactly happens when viewed on a lager screen.
For example, my three logos, will just the wrapper increase around them? Will they space further apart or will they(shudder) increase in size and distort.
If it's the later should I be uploading larger files then I am displaying?
I know that's a lot to ask, I appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks a bunch David
Hi, Jade thanks for the reply.
I had two reasons for the multiple logos.
I wanted to have the freedom to tweak them individually once they were sitting on the page. I'm also considering having one of them rotate once after the page loads.
The main reason was a learning exercise. I'm still trying to get a better understanding of zen cart and php.
More specifically- how all the files work together.
Believe it or not, it took me two days and lots of searching to get them on there as separate adjustable elements, but I learned a few things.
My site is, countrytothecore.net/shop/
Thanks again for your time,
David
Oops, perhaps I should have written that like this
http://countrytothecore.net/shop/
Hi all, Fantastic template but I have a couple of minor problems..if you can help.
How can I remove ALL mentions of weight, shipping,in stock as I am only having a Download site.
How can I change the 'tell a friend', 'write review' and 'add to cart' so they appear UNDER the product info box. :frusty:
Sites under const but view here: http://www.lklsoftware.com/zencart
Thanks again in advance
Keith
First question- this would be a good thing to search for in the FAQ or forum, or ask in the general forum, but you can turn on and off a lot of the weight/shipping/instock under "configuration", "product listing", and under "featured listing", "new listing", "All listing". You can turn off weight for the shopping cart under 'Configuration", "layout settings". Dig around in your admin a bit. As a tip, I use the mod called "reference_cfg-keys" which allows you to search for options in the admin. For example, you could enter the word "weight", and it will show you all the zen cart options that have to do with weight. Anyway, you can find it with the older zen cart mods.
http://www.zen-cart.com/archived_con...s/admin-tools/
To move the tell a friend and reviews, open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php and find the tell a friend/review section (everything is nicely split into "chunks"), and move it to below the add to cart chunk.
First question. Is your grey sidebar supposed to go all the way up to the search bar? It does in Firefox and Camino.
Your idea will work best if the middle logo stays centered, no matter the width, while the left and right logos stay to the left and right, no matter the width.
This is pretty easy to do, but will require you to move #logo2 to AFTER #logo3.
So open up includes/templates/cherry_zen/common/tpl_header.php and change it to this order;
It may seem goofy, but it will work.Code:<div id="logo"></div>
<div id="logo3"></div>
<div id="logo2"></div>
Then remove
from #logo2 in your stylesheet.css.Code:float:left;
I have just installed un_wishlist_0.41 on my site.
It is working fine, but I was wondering if there is any way to add either a button in the header or a link on a customer's account page so that they have a link to their wish list as soon as they log in?
I've seen solutions for the classic template, but not for the Cherry Zen template.
I was also wondering if there was a way to change the titles of the banner side boxes.
Thanks.
The link to my store: http://www.miss-crow.com/shop
I've been fighting a problem all day. :blink:
I've searched this thread and I found someone with a similar problem, but the actual fix was never posted.
You said it sounded like a missing </div> tag, but I've looked and looked and can't find one missing. :frusty: I'm hoping another set of eyes can find it.
I've narrowed it down to being an IE7 problem.
It displays fine in IE8, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome.
When you click on 'My Account' on the navigation bar the dark background is displaying instead of the white center column background. It's doing the same thing once you are logged into your My Account page. (I've attached screenshots.)
It ONLY does it on these pages. If you click 'Log in' on the navigation bar, it displays fine. If you have something in your cart and go to checkout, it displays fine.
If it's doing this on any other page(s), I haven't run across it yet.
Link: www.mybikergear.com
It's a 1.3.8a fresh install, with the following mods (that affect the template):
Categories Dressing
Tabbed Products Pro
Product Filter Search
Logo Sidebox
COWOA (just added and the problem existed before it was installed)
This site still has a ways to go before being completed, but I have to get this issue solved before I go any further.
Also...what do I need to add to my CSS to change the color of the titles on the products in the center? I've tried various things, but so far nothing has worked. :blush:
Thank you for this awesome template! I don't know why, but it SEO's better than any template I've ever used. :smile:
Hi,
I have a checkout problem. I'm using Zen Cart v 1.3.0.2 and Cherry Zen 1.7
During the checkout process I get this message on Step 2 of 3, Payment Information Page:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: in_special_checkout() in /usr/local/sugarcrm/htdocs/ciaobam/includes/templates/cherry_zen/templates/tpl_checkout_payment_default.php on line 50
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or is because the versions that I'm using aren't compatible?
Thanks for your time.

Jade,
I've used your template for many sites that I've built in the past year or so, and am thoroughly impressed. Thanks for providing such a great template to the community!
Here's my question for you (or anybody else)...
Most of the sites I've built with Cherry Zen have been displaying the categories via images on the main page, split into three columns. I have a rather picky client who wants the category name text under the image to be removed because it is "redundant".
I have been unable to figure out which file to edit that would allow me to keep this text from displaying, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your help..
No the side bar isn't supposed to go all the way up.
I couldn't find where to stop it it from doing so.
I had a look at the style sheet and other places, even checked the form.
It's covered up with a header background image now, so it doesn't matter, but I'd still like to know how to do it if you could spare the time.
Also, thanks for reminding me to check my pages in other browsers. (the side bar was covered with b-ground image in IE7)I mistakenly assumed that if it looked right in IE7 (since it seems to be the one with all the problems), that it would look right in other browsers.
I'll now check in IE7 and Firefox, any other suggestions?
I made the changes for the logo as advised and it worked great. I also found that changing my display settings will show me how it looks on larger monitors (yes, that should have been obvious.)
Thanks again for the template and continued support,
David
If anyone else has comments on my silly mistakes, please feel free to berate me. Nothing better than constructive criticism.

I am getting ready to go live with a site running Cherry Zen. The problem I have is that in IE6 (only) the left column side boxes are pushed down below the main index contents.
Take a look at www.nativitydisplays.com and www.liberty-flag.com/ xstore/index.php
Both sites use Cherry Zen and both sites act the same.
You have to see it in IE6, but I am sure there is a css fix that I have either messed up or don't know about.:lamo:
Kinya, Kinya help a guy out here?
Thanks
JOhn ><>
Did you follow the instructions on adjusting the sidebox widths in the readme.txt to a "t"? The original left sidebox is 150px wide, but in the css, the original width used for the left sidebox section is 165px (to accommodate padding and such).
So you want a left sidebox that is 190px wide (40 pixels wider), so you'll need to increase the original value of 165px by 40 px more.
Please find the section in the readme on increasing sidebox width.
I thought I did. I even setup the liberty xstore template from scratch.
What did I miss?HTML Code:* html #contentMainWrapper {
height: 100%;
}
.outer {
padding-left: 190px; /* Same width as margin-left for the float-wrap div */
padding-right: 150px; /* Our right column width */
}
.inner {
width: 100%;
}
.float-wrap {
float: left;
width: 97%;
margin-left: -190px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
}
#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -190px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
.contentWrap {
padding: 5px 0 5px 5px;
}
#navColumnOne {
float: left;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -150px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
* html #navColumnTwo {
margin-right: -190px !important; /* Fixes IE6 Issue */
}
/* end wrappers - page or section containers*/
What I was trying to say with my previous post:
165 + 40 = 205
your 190px's should be 205px because the original value there was 165px, NOT 150px.
Edited To Add:
* html #navColumnTwo {
margin-right: -190px !important; /* Fixes IE6 Issue */
}
and put the above back to -170px.
Didn't seem to help www.nativitydisplays.com
I thought I had a good understanding of this. HmmmmmHTML Code:.outer {
padding-left: 165px; /* Same width as margin-left for the float-wrap div */
padding-right: 165px; /* Our right column width */
}
.inner {
width: 100%;
}
.float-wrap {
float: left;
width: 97%;
margin-left: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
}
#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
.contentWrap {
padding: 5px 0 5px 5px;
}
#navColumnOne {
float: left;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -165px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
* html #navColumnTwo {
margin-right: -170px !important; /* Fixes IE6 Issue */

The original value for the left boxes in the css is 165px. The original value for the right boxes in the css is 150px. Since you changed them BOTH 15px more, you need to increase BOTH by 15 px more.
165 + 15 =180
150 + 15 =165 (you have this correct for the right sideboxes.
Please look at this section from the ORIGINAL file, and increase EACH value accordingly!
That's Pthththth :P
LOL
I only changed the right column to be equal to the left (I thought)
I've been at this for 20+ years and still have brain freeze from time to time.
Left columns are still at 165 (right?)
I increased the right column from 150 to 165 = 15
This hurts both of us. Where do I have to add the 15?
This is what I see in the original css:
So the only change I made wasHTML Code:.outer {
padding-left: 165px; /* Same width as margin-left for the float-wrap div */
padding-right: 150px; /* Our right column width */
}
.inner {
width: 100%;
}
.float-wrap {
float: left;
width: 97%;
margin-left: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
}
#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -165px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
.contentWrap {
padding: 5px 0 5px 5px;
}
#navColumnOne {
float: left;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -150px; /* This negative margin-right value is in this example the same as the right column width. */
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
* html #navColumnTwo {
margin-right: -170px !important; /* Fixes IE6 Issue */
}
/* end wrappers - page or section containers*/
to 165 andHTML Code:padding-right: 150px; /* Our right column width */
to 165HTML Code:#navColumnTwo {
float: right;
margin-right: -150px;
Which other setting needs the added 15? I know this is simple for you, being the stylesheet expert and all, but give a guy a break, please. {BSG}
JOhn ><>
Add 15px EVERYWHERE. See how it starts at 165px ALREADY for the left side? That is because there is built in padding. Just like before, I told you to add 40px to 165px, now you add 15px to 165px.
To be absolutely clear. Wherever you see 165px in the original stylesheet, change it to 180px, wherever you see 150px, change it to 165px. Wherever you see 170px, change it to 185px. :bigups:
Just wanted to post this as a reference for future surfers:
My MessageStack background colors were not rendering at all in IE6 for this template. They worked fine in IE7 and firefox. To fix this I added a width: 640px; to the CSS for these items and now they work fine.
Hi:
I am getting so close...I hope to customizing your Cherry Zen Template. Followed your instructions to a tee for changing the left column width. I want my ledt sidebox for be 230px and my right sidebox to be 140px. All the steps worked for the left side. My problem is that I'll have to change the size of the gif for the right sidebox to 140px. How to I put those in the template so they it will read it properly. I did at the extra 15 pixels on the left sidebox and it worked, but now my information in the sidebox sits at the bottom of my page. I'm thinking when I get the rest fixed that it will adjust itelf.
I'd also like to put a space between my header and the body of my site and use the same colour as the background. This shows up if I put category tabs up, but I really don't want them showing there...would rather have them in sidebox. Is there another solution for that?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You can view my site here to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Thank so much for your help.
The reason why the menu has dropped down, is that you forgot to change the above 150 to 245.Code:#content {
float: right;
margin-right: -150px; /* Same length as .outer padding-left but with negative value */
width: 100%;
line-height:1.6;
position: relative; /* IE needs this */
}
You can use two different images for the left and right, as seen in this portion of the styleshet:
So just make one for the right side, and call it "sideboxB.gif", and then upload it to includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/, then change the image for the right side to sideboxB.gif in the stylesheet. :smile:Code:#contentMainWrapper {
background:url("../images/sidebox.gif") 100% 0 repeat-y; /* This is the right column background "faked" with an image. */
background-color:#8CA593; /*background color for the main "content" of the site */
}
#contentMainWrapperb {
background: url("../images/sidebox.gif") 0 0 repeat-y ; /* This is the left column background "faked" with an image. */
}
Thanks...I will go and make the changes today.
I thought that I would try one changing the left side first to see if I had success. I'm a bit confused about changing the right sidebox. The new image makes sense.
I'm trying to do the math here....the right side I want at 140px and yours is 165px. Do I just change the 165 to 140 or do I have to account for the extra 15px like I did for the left sidebox.
Also, I made my header.jpg 1000px wide, but it still doesn't go straight across the page to match up on the left size. Do you know how wide I should re-size this?
Thanks so very much for your help :smile:
No. The right sidebox (and the left for that matter), in my original template, is 150px wide (NOT 165px), and in the stylesheet, all the values for the right side are at 150px, and all the values for the left side are at 165px (even though the left side box is ACTUALLY 150px - due to padding issues).
To make your right sideboxes 140px, you need to change those parts that were ORIGINALLY 150px to 140px. Oh, and there is one bit that is 170px, change to 160px.
Your website currently has the right box at 150px, that you need to change to 140px in "Configuration", "layout settings"
:clap: Thank you Jade...you are the best! It worked the site is starting to look much nicer.
I still have the issue with my header looking off balance with the rest of the site. I change the width from 1000px to 1300px thinking that would fix the header and it doesn't look any different than before. Is there something in the code that I have to change to get the header to line up?
I am having problems at checkout when i change the template to cherry zen. Is there anyone that can help me fix this? Thanks.

I *THINK* it's telling you that includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_checkout_default.php is missing. Make sure its uploaded. If not, I'd suggest that you reupload the entire includes/templates/template_default/ directory to be sure all files are there.
Hello,
This is my first post since joining the forum, I have been searching allday for the answer to my question but do not seem to be able to find what I need. I downloaded the cherry template yesterday and finally figured out how to make my custom folders and uploaded them. What I want to do now is change the colours in the sidebox heading and background, but I want to use colour codes instead of images, is this possible and if so how do I do it?
Any help would be gratefully recieved.
I have reuploaded the files and still getting the same problem i think the file is missing from my computer also. Is there anywhere i can find that file? And thank you very much for helping
thanks i have fixed it i think i installed fast and easy checkout and the file that was missing was inside. thank you very much
Hello again,
I hate to be a pain but I followed the previous instructions and managed to change all the colours I wanted to except for the background colours of the sideboxes. When I removed the image and put in my colour code the whole page turned that colour whereas I would like to have the middle white still.

Its not much but I am getting there.
Any help you could give would be great.
Hello;
I have my site http://centeredchef.com/cconlineorder working fine using the cherry zen template. One thing I'd like to change is making the sideboxes and center column always extend to 100% of the height of the browser. I've tried suggestions made in the general forum with no luck. Is this possible with this template?
Thanks in advance.
I wondered if someone knows where to find this space.
I have moved the nav line under the header. Next I switched the search box to the right side. My problem is this, on the left side of the nav bar there is about a half inch space between the left edge and my first home-link.
I have tried everything I can think of and wondered if anyone would know where to find the area to change.
It is somewhere between the navmain wrapper and the navmain. Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Ladybugmom
