Google Checkout 1.47 is correct version for zencart 1.3.8/1.3.8.aQuote:
I have since installed another shop, 1.3.8a from the start and used GCO v1.4.5_CCS.
I had that and it somehow worked when I was piggybacking with my first sites account with the new sites GCO. In the first site I have v1.4.5_CCS but on the second site I used the latest version of GCO which was 1.4.7. This pretty much worked. My orders didn't post back in the new sites admin because the account was for the first site. The orders did post there. Of course the customer ended up in the wrong store after checkout but it worked.
Now that I have created another account with google checkout for the new store it didn't work. Orders would be processed and the correct shipping was offered. No orders would post back to my shop though.
So I went and removed 1.4.7 from the new site (zc1.3.8a) and installed v1.4.5_CCS. Now its really broken.
How can this be?
Thanks,
John
didnt mean for the [IMG] in previous. Must have had the image in my clipboard and intended to paste the GCO version "v1.4.5_CCS". Sorry bout that.
Out With The Old and In With The New!
Still doesn't work. $1 dollar shipping for all and no order post back to ZC.
yes I have my dir 777 and my responsehandler.php address in google checkout integration is right.
still. . .
Bummer.
Not entirely sure how I got the $1 shipper to go away but I did. The order still doesnt post back to my store. When the customer has completed their google checkout they are left at google. Your order is complete, click here to return to mysite.com. When they click and are returned "Whoops your session has expired". Also, the items that were just purchased are still in the cart that "expired"?
Could this have to do with the changes that are made to keep from having the session ID be a part of the current page URLs for seo?
Thanks,
John
I had the same problem. What I have done is to go through an old layout that was working with Google Checkout and found what might be the difference.
For me, the way to sort it out was to set the GoogleCheckout Carrier Calculated Shipping to False.
That resolved the issue and it went through to Sandbox checkout with no problem.
Hope that helps
I also loaded up the Fedex module so I could make sure that no one selects $1 for Fedex. By controlling Fedex in the Zen Cart, it no longer was a shipping choice.
Also, the Shipper configurations are as follows: See attached image. I had to crop it to allow it upload. Using zero values disables that shipping option. You get the idea.
1) Shipping & Handling fees are Taxable in Texas (Sales Tax)
2) I use Zen Cart
The module doesn't give me a way to force the collection of sales tax on shipping & handling fees, even though my state requires it. It only collects sales tax on the item. I can set my cart to behave correctly but Google Checkout doesn't seem to pick that up at all.
Either this gets corrected or I go back to using PayPal because I do NOT want the state crawling all over me for an audit. And yes, the comptrollers office in Texas is that bad.
TIA,
RC
Hello- When I installed this mod when i click on my regular checkout, it doesn't go to the shipping page but just a plane white page. Does anyone know why this would be?
"The module doesn't give me a way to force the collection of sales tax on shipping & handling fees"
Whoa partner.
It Sure does.
Log into your Google account and set the tax for Texas. Settings -> Tax
Also make sue you have a Zones Definition for Texas tax.
