Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Recieved this this morning via email.
Hello,
Thank you for participating in Google Product Search. We are reaching out to you to inform you about important changes we’re making to our Product Search attribute requirements for unique identifiers and tax and shipping information.
Starting May 3rd, 2011, we’ll require your product listings to include at least two of the three unique identifiers (Brand, MPN, GTIN). In order to provide as much information as possible to our users, we need your help in matching your products to our "product pages", where users are able to view useful data such as product specifications or reviews. While these attributes will not be required for your data feed to process correctly, they may prevent your items from appearing in Product Search results if not included. For more details, including what specific identifiers you should include for each category of item, please see our Help Center at http://www.google.com/support/mercha...?answer=160161
Starting June 6th, 2011, we’ll also require your product listings to include tax and shipping information to provide buyers with important price information. This information will be required at either the account or item level (in the “tax” or “shipping” attribute) in order for your items to process and appear in Google Product Search results. For instructions on how to include tax and shipping information, please visit http://www.google.com/support/mercha...&answer=160162
Please update your account settings or data feeds as soon as possible to ensure that you are complying with these new requirements by the dates specified above. For more information about these changes, please visit our Google Merchant blog at http://googlemerchantblog.##########...ct-search.html
Sincerely,
The Google Product Search Team

Go back and check that all files are in the correct place. When I said delete the feed file I mean root feed/google/ feed file. Also make sure the googlefroogle.php file in your root is set to 644 or 777

Someone has already posted this a page back. We all know about it. Thanks, maybe numinix will update this module without having to install numinix product fields.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hello all.
I have come up against a problem that I can not fix despite trying repeatedly for many, many hours. I have read hundreds of posts and searched the net but I am now at my wits end and just about ready to give up.
I have zen cart 1.3.9h, hosted by dreamhost. My site has a fair amount of customisation on it and I yesterday uploaded google_base_feeder 1.8.2 taking care to follow the instructions yet no matter what I do the googlebase configuration in my admin does not show anything other than the following:
Google Base Feeder Configuration
Google Base FTP Username
Google Base FTP Password
Google Base Server
I know that there should be a great deal more in the way of configuration for the GBF (this has been confirmed in numerous threads) yet I can not figure it out.
Also in my Admin/tools I have the following:
Google Base Feeder
Feed Type:
SQL Query Limit
SQL Query Offset
For sanity sake has anyone got any ideas or suggestions so I can get this fixed.:frusty:
Thanks in advance for any help that is offered.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi
I am working on ZenCart 1.3.9h and I just updated to Google Merchant 1.8.3.
I can create the product feed but I am unable to view it by clicking on the link in admin.
If I access it in Iexplorer, I get the following message saying the feed contains errors
This feed contains code errors.
Go back to the previous page.
More information
End tag 'g:product_type' does not match the start tag 'title'.
Line: 1592 Character: 45
<g:product_type><![CDATA[Walking Sticks]]></g:product_type>
Please help

Hi,
I've done all of as you said, but there have another problem came out, I named the output file as "products" in the "Google Merchant Center Feeder Configuration" and then go to admin/tools to upload the file to Google, the message shown as follows:

Go to your root feed/google/your_feed and delete the feed. Go to admin/configurations/google_base_configuration and make sure the Output File Name is correct. Make another feed and check the name in root feed/google/your_feed name to make sure it is named correctly before you upload it. If it is not name correctly click on it and rename it to whatever you have name it in google merchant center before you upload it. I would suggest you go to google merchant center to upload the file.

The Numinix code automatically appends
_products.xml to whatever name you have defined in the config.
So if you call it
fantastic
then you have to tell google it's called
fantastic_products.xml
The feed creation/upload popup window shows the filename clearly.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi All,
I am getting the following error message when clicking on 'Google Base Feeder'
############################################################_
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
############################################################_
I have re checked all the files in place and set to 777.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Andy
