Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
at the beginning of the post it led me to:
module info/features.
and there it says:
Please Note: This module does not automatically add mappings for existing Categories/Products/Manufacturers/EZ-Pages - if the site has existing Categories/Products/Manufacturers/EZ-Pages, they'll continue to use the standard Zen Cart dynamic URIs, until a URI has been entered or auto-generated for them, by editing the respective Category/Product/Manufacturer/EZ-Page in the admin.
This means going in and editing every Category/Product/Manufacturer/EZ-Page for which a static URI mapping is desired.
so it is telling me I have to do that manually, but does not tell me how.
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
Understood..
FYI.. my answer wasn't me trying to be a smart a$$, but it honestly wasn't clear in your earlier post specifically what you were asking..
If you download the module, you can read the VERY detailed readme which will explain how.. (doesn't hurt anything to download the add-on and read the readme)
Short answer: Open product, category, or EZ Page, and enter a URI manually OR save product, category, or EZ Page so that a URI can be auto-generated..

Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
not to be dense but i do not see any where to enter a url for the product in category/products except at the bottom and that does not change the url of the product.

It does if you have this add-on installed correctly and turned on..
URI entry
http://i51.tinypic.com/svgtc9.png
URL it creates:
http: // www . hairisle . com/Hair-Extensions/Economy-Collection/Processed/Indian-Remy-Machine-Weft-Soft-Fro-Texture-4-Oz.

Asked (and answered) frequently in this thread, but yes..
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
sorry, but with 266 pages to the thread and knowing that some are 2 1/2 years old and probably obsolete I did not read them all, my bad.
thanks
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
I have a test cart to test mods and things on and when i try to go to a product i get this
1146 Table 'slater_shop_database.ceon_uri_mappings' doesn't exist
in:
[ SELECT language_id, uri FROM ceon_uri_mappings WHERE main_page = 'product_info' AND associated_db_id = '1' AND current_uri = '1';]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Not to be nitpicky, but your question is regarding the most recent version of this mod.. so the question (and answers) isn't close to two years old.. if you page back a few pages in this thread you will see Conor JUST answered the very same question not even a week ago..

I've just downloaded the 3.8.0 package for your website. In the "modified_core_files" directory there are files for Zen Cart versions up to 1.3.9f.
Am I safe to assume the 1.3.9f files will be ok to use in a 1.3.9h installation?
