Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
BTW, you do not need a bazillion backups of your images.. You only need ONE backup of your original images..[/QUOTE]
the backups I keep are of the home directory and sql d/base (I do a backup before I change anything), old habit from working as sap trainer it was my mantra BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP :D

I am Having a number of issues.
1. my read me file no longer has tabs at the top. I am guessing that the wrong type of program is trying to read this file. Or maybe something is corrupted. I would love to get my hands on the read me file.
I have successfully installed IH3 on one of my sites www.daysgonebuy.com
2. My other site www.classic-flatware.com is giving me problems.
Both sites are v1.3.9 h
The category picture shows up but no Item picture.
http://classic-flatware.com/index.ph...oducts_id=1268
So that is a problem.
Then If you scroll down to my additional pics, and click on them they will not open up.
To sum it up I have no item picture just the category image.
and when you click on a picture the new ( larger) images does not open.
I have uninstalled ,then reinstalled IH3. I think I have files in the wrong place. What would happen if I removed the bmz_cache ? would I loose my images?
Thank you.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the IH3 readme configuration and troubleshooting sections included useful including the topic of file naming and how additional images are detected in Zen Cart (via the file names).. Seems like you overlooked this information??? Suggest going back over the readme and reviewing this information so that you are fully clear on how images and image naming works in Zen Cart.

Then I suggest you rollback to a version of your site before you installed IH3 and starting over with the install or you can review the install instruction in the readme file and carefully check your site to make sure you have everything in the correct place.

Not your original images, but IH3 won't work without the bmz_cache folder.. STRONGLY suggest reviewing the IH3 readme and now that I give this some more thought, perhaps a do over on your IH3 install is the best approach.. It's near impossible to help you when it sounds like you don't have IH3 installed properly.. No sense in trying to spend time working through your issues until you have this mod installed correctly..

there is in no image in the location that Zen Cart is looking for the product images in... The product is linked to a non-existant image: http://classic-flatware.com/images/m...M54006_MED.jpg Secondly as I JUST posted today, you do not need to use the large and medium image folders. Upload your LARGEST image to the images directory and IH3 will generate the small and medium images based on your image settings..
This tells me that IF you have IH3 installed correctly, then you need to update your products so that they are pointing to the correct image location.. This is less of an IH3 issue as much as it is an issue of your product images are configured incorrectly.. Suggest reviwing all of your products to be sure that the product images are correctly loaded and in the right places.
Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Im using the zen cart version 1.3.9f with image handler 3.
I did as the instructions said, but still I cant get it to work.
Both in admin section and in my web shop the images are broken.
The weird part is that in the bmz cach folder, its only two testpictures.
I use zen lightbox. But I deleted the "includes/modules/digitalshop/additional_images.php" from image handler folder before copy them. The original zen lightbox additional_images.php is still there. I try to copy the file from image handler to the folder in my ftp, but it didnt work anyway.
Any ideas what it can be?

As has been mentioned ad nauseum,
post a link to your site, we cannot guess
what version of zen lightbox are you using as some of the older versions aren't compatible, what are the settings on the bmz_cache folder
Did you actually run the install script admin -- tools -- image hndler - install image handler.
check your /cache file for debug files

my thoughts exactly.. and I'll add this.. I personally won't GUESS at a problem I cannot see.. Got far too many things on my plate to spend time lobbing blind guesses at issues.. Others may be okay with blind guessing, but I'm not..
**sigh**
I'm cranky and being spicy now.. I'm going to bed..
