You should register a test feed at google to upload multiple times while you sort out the errors in the your feed.
Call it test in the admin and it will be created as test_products.xml
Register it as test_products.xml.
Then when it is uploading 100% and Google has stopped complaining about the data or formatting errors, register a new feed eg: YOURSHOPNAME_products.xml
Change the name according in the admin and upload, then wait for Google to verify it....
Thanks torvista!
I've created the file but have 2 issues perhaps you could help with:
1) Under Tools>Google Merchant Center Feeder, the Upload links to www.mysite/myadmin/googlefroogle.php#. When using this it leads to a page not found.
2) I uploaded the file manually under google merchant center which then gives me a "Missing required attribute: title (130 errors)" notification. However, all the products titles under ZC admin are there. Do you know why it misses some of them titles?

in regards to missing title attribute, when iv looked through mine its because of non standard character like & or registered symbol or diameter symbol etc....
in regards to the first point, admin>configuration>google froogle merchant center
make sure your "store address" is just your website, not website/admin etc... just to double check this...
also check the google upload address

Thanks spid3r1987.
I was also reading the special characters note in google merchant help. All the titles have got quotes (' ') characters. However only some products seems to get through.
The store address and uploads.google.com look correct.

i dont know if " or ' is classed as a special character in GMC
http://www.google.com/support/mercha...uotation&type=
also
Google Base supports only the following special characters. Any other special characters used in the data feed other than these special characters will result in item failure.
< to be used in data feed as <
> to be used in data feed as >
& to be used in data feed as &
" to be used in data feed as "

Regarding the errors, the titles had &lsquo and ’ for the single quote. I suppose these products were copied/pasted from a word processor instead of a text editor. Replacing them with & # 39 ; fixed the errors.
I've still got "Missing recommended attribute: shipping weight" warnings though, which I suppose aren't that important.
For the upload link (www.mysite.com/myadmin/googlefroogle.php#) under the admin, is this supposed to have a # at its end? Perhaps that what's generating the page not found page.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
No, the new version has a number of bugs. If you can avoid using it for the moment, do that. I had to upgrade and am working on getting it going but I can't get all products to upload to google. I'll post if I get it fixed.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi,
I installed this mod but I can not make it even start.
I have zec_cart 1.39h.
I installed the sql patch and then I went to Admin->Configuration->Google Merchant Center Configuration but I can not see anything to be set. All what I get Is a page without any possibility to add configuration records.
When I installed the sql patch I got a error regarding configuration key already existing. I do not kno if this can be the reason of the problem.
What should I look for?
Thanks
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
OK I have fixed the problem above.
I had a corrupted record in the database.
Now I have another problem when using the feeder generation command under tools, I get a link not found message.
The link not found is hxxp://www.acquatua.it/googlefroogle.php?feed=fy_un_tp&limit=&offset=&x=48&y=9&key=xxxxxxxxx
The googlefroogle.php file is in the root....
Can some one help me?
Thanks
enzo
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
what if you download everything onto the cart, and you have google merchant center feeder under tools but not under configuration? does that mean i did something wrong? I am using 1.3.9h and i am doing this right now on a test site
