Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi All,
I have installed the current version of the Google Merchant Feeder, and have encountered a few issues.
When clicking the 'Google Merchant Feeder' button, I received a file error. My Web Hosting Support Department have been looking into it, and I have now got to the point where I get the attached screen. Attachment 9266
I feel that it is nearly there, but just need this last issue sorted.
I hope someone can help me on this.
I run 2 other Zen Carts, with the previous versions of the Base Feeder, with no issues at all.
I look forward to any input.
Regards,
Andy

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Google has posted the following on the uploads page to Google base. Has anyone addressed this issue yet?
Please note that Google Base and the Google Base Data API will be retired on June 1, 2011. You will not be able to login to your account or upload feeds after this date. For more information, including links to alternative services, please visit our blog post.

Just a quick idea........As I have two other carts, using this add on with no problems, can I just copy the files required to the one that is not working?

When logging into teh google merchant center, there is no problem. Maybe you are using the really old link for your feed? You should be be logging thru the google.com/merchants link. That redirects to the proper place.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I just uploaded version 1.9.1 to the zen cart contributions. He had fixed the bugs but never uploaded to zencart.com. It may well take few days to become live there. You can get that same version here: http://www.numinix.com/zen-cart-modu...-center-feeder
Be sure this is the version you are using!
Do note that due to google changes, you may see less products than you did before in your feed.

Well worth the money, now my products are live on Google.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I'm in a bind and need some help.
Previous site had the older Google/Froogle Base Feeder working. New 1.3.9h site installed in a subfolder with a copy of the old db imported and updated as per instructions. The new (v1.9.0) Google Merchant Center mod was installed and seemed to be fine -- at least the install.sql file ran fine, but the mod itself was not tested while the new site was in the subfolder.
So today the old site was moved into a backup folder and the new site files were moved into the live folder. The DB was backed up and restored again. When tested, the merchant center wouldn't run. Fair enough, I thought, I probably need to uninstall and reinstall. Ran the uninstall.sql and it worked. Ran the install.sql and got a huge load of errors. Tried again, this time with the upgrade.sql file too -- more errors. Tried deleting the entry in the DB mentioned in the errors using phpMyAdmin, then running install.sql -- same errors.
I can see the Google Merchant Center Feeder in admin/Tools, but now that I've mucked around in the database I'm afraid to run it.
Does anyone know exactly how to fully uninstall it so I can reinstall it?
