Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
[QUOTE=melena;648442] the famed 401 error:
We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://capoeira-shop.com/googlechec...nsehandler.php -- the error we got is: Send failed with code: 401. Response body was: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <TITLE>401 Authorization Required</TITLE> </HEAD><BODY> <H1>Authorization Required</H1> This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.<P>

Admittedly, I'm receiving a different error, the famed SSL exception error, but having the same 'shipping' issue. I noticed, when I looked at my GC module settings, a place for google checkout to calculate shipping "if the callback fails" or some such. Is it possible that enabling those would at least garner shipping charges?
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
yes, you can enable that for the time being, I haven't checked if it is weight sensitive or not, but it is better than nothing ...
also you can look into the google checkout forums for this SSL problem I saw some stuff about it there (didn't read it though...)
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
i just downloaded google checkout and integrated it with zencart and everything but now when i try to test it(under the sandbox or production mode) using me as the customer(i just set up my website so i currently do not have any customers) when i go to the checkout and confirm checkout and everything it doesnt redirect me to google or a secure site like it is supposed to(i thought). it just redirects me back to my checkout page. am i missing something? did i upload the files wrong. or what?

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
yes i used to have the same problem because one of the folder was called templates instead than template (or the other way around). So make sure everything is exactly the same as specified in ther eadme file
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
does anyone know what the api callback url should be? should i leave it at checkout_

google checkout has a huge list of ssl certificates they'll accept but needless to say, it's a bit overwhelming. Not to mention that not all ssl certificates are the same. And that many are quite cost prohibitive for the small merchant. Any suggestions?
(and hey melena, did you get your issue solved?)
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
my godaddy ssl cost me $30.00 and seems to be working just fine with GC. hope that helps:smile:
