Recommend using an application that will compare files. This way you can add contributions to modified carts properly.:flex:
Araxis has a free demo that I have not seemed to pay for in 6 months. http://www.araxis.com
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I can't get Google checkout to show up on my checkout page. I was able to set it up just fine. I even see where I can review sales reports from Google, but it's useless because it doesn't show up as an option at check out. My Log files are set to 777.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Log out. Put something in the cart and then run through to check out. The button will show up then.
If it does not, then Google is not able to talk to your site. We'll visit that, if said if occurs.
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Has anyone done an update of the Google Analytics tracking code in this package?
I might have a go myself if no-one else has - the old file done by ropu is
\root\zen_googlecode\googlecheckout\library\googlecart.php
and contains the old urchin tracking code.
Would like to get the new code in there.
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
You are looking for responsehandler_test_v1.2.php
It is dated prior to the release of the module yet has the analytics code and urchin working great in my google account.
This file site sits with the regular responshandler.php in the googlecart directory. Do not copy one into the other.
There is also a separate Google cart Analytics add on.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I searched for hours for help on 'Default Values for Real Time Shipping Rates" and I'm still confused...
I've done some test checkouts and they all calculate shipping correctly. However, my first genuine Google sale happened today and it came through with the wrong shipping method, and under-charged the customer for shipping.
My question : When using the Shipping Method Generator do I have to specify all my weight bands and how much each weight costs?
Or do I just give it my two shipping methods (Table and Airmail), and let it just calculate one weight band for each ? (seems to be 109g for some reason).
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
I am having trouble with Google Check Out and Real Time shipping. I've searched high and low and cannot find a solution anywhere on the web- including here (plenty of others with similar troubles, dating as far back as early 2007, but no one provides an answer... does that mean no solution exists?).
I currently have GCO as payment option and UPS and USPS as shipping (gave up on trying to get Fedex module to work with GCO - what a nightmare! and a shame too). I am using Merchant Calculation mode for shipping and have set the defaults for the shippings services I use under: "Default Values for Real Time Shipping Rates."
Here's the thing: I'm only getting Real Time rates for USPS about 65% of the time and UPS is even worse; I only saw a Real Time UPS Rate ONCE! which probably equates to about 1 percent of the time that I've been working on this for the past three days.
I understand the implications of "Default values for real time rates in case the webservice call fails." but what I do not understand is why the webservice calls would seemingly be failing so often??? I mean- really- is that normal? Are we more likely to have to charge arbitrairily default values for shipping as opposed to real values and either: a). loose money on shipping or b). upset customers who perceive shipping to be too high?
I know that there must be a solution to this that I am merely overlooking (though darned if I can find it). I've really bought into this whole open-source ZEN thing (power to the people, and all that) but holey-shamoley! Is it really only viable for dot guru types!? I'm sorry if I sound flustered (which I nearly am at this point) but I'm just not feeling the ZEN here (and I want to).
I would apprciate ANY suggestions concerning a solution, a hint in the right direction, or even an alternative. Thanks.
Oh- and one last thing. I tried the set CURL Proxy Status = false as suggested in DrByte's announcement (because I'm hosting on GoDaddy) and so far results appear the same - intermitent, at best. I'm using the most current versions of everything. ... Can anyone help?

I have the same problem. The reason is Google Checkout only gives 3 seconds for our server to come back with the shipping costs. If it doesnt, it uses the default values.
It is my understanding that there is something that godaddy does that slows down this process. i've heard from many people that this problem goes away after they move to a different host. I've been really reluctant to move, but it looks like there is no choice. i will try to it soon and will post back ..
Another possible solution is to use Google Calculated Shipping rates (but it doesnt work for my situation) - you can set it to do that under configuration of google payment module.
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart (beta)
Hi greenhat,
And thanks for the response. You know- I've been suspisious of GoDaddy being the problem but am juggling so many other things with trying to get my store to the point of being 'live' that I guess I just didn't want to face the probablility of having to move to another host. But maybe that's the answer (still hoping for 'a fix' from any of the rest of you out there).
As to using Google Calculated Shipping rates: that doesn't work for my situation either. I offer check/money order payments and the Google Calculated Shipping rates do not show up on the Zen Cart Check Out page.
Let me know how moving from GoDaddy goes for you and I'll do the same if I decide that a move is all that I can do in order to go forward. (any one else? don't be shy ... help a Zenner out).
