Add this to your stylesheet.

That is going to disappoint many users of this module because their hosting companies have not upgraded to 5.6 or better. :dontgetit
Is there any work around for those using PHP 5.3+ , 5.4+ or 5.5+?
If not, I will have to send a newsletter out to everyone letting them know they have to turn it off and use an alternative method.
If your hoster is running a version of PHP that's that out of date, you need to find a new hoster. They are exposing your site to attack by not staying up to date. I wonder what else they haven't patched - Heartbleed, for example?
I doubt they are running 5.3.
I am unfortunately running 5.4 working on upgrading just host is still running 5.4 and the mailchimp plug in is working for me. I need a new host.
5.4 is less out of date than 5.3, but it's still out of date. As a shopowner, it's your responsibility to press your hoster to stay up to date, and fire them if they can't or won't.
I was just able to update to 5.6. Uggh finally. I have had a ton of malaware attacks on my site (not store but httpaccess) suddenly. I am so switching from justhost come January everytime I have an issue it seems to cost me more and more money. I am so sick and tired of being nickled and dimed. Thanks the style worked :-)
Unfortunately, hosting has just become a horrible tire fire. There are so many crappy low cost services that no one is willing to open a moderately priced good service because unsophisticated customers can't see the difference and are unwilling to pay more.
