Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
For all who have not read what this man wrote in FAQ recall here ...:book:

A string beginning with “?cPath” is being added to the end of a product's URI.
The module retains Zen Cart's category history when linking to a linked product which is not within its “master” category, so the full path back through any parent categories is available. To do so, it is essential that the “cpath” query string parameter is added to the URI.
Without this feature all linked products would always show as belonging to their “master” category, which will not be the category the customer has accessed the product from.. this would make it appear to the customer that they had “jumped” to another part of the site, they would no longer be in the same category they were in previously!
There is no way to avoid the cPath parameter being added for linked products. It's advised to use linked products only when necessary and/or to simply accept that it's not possible in Zen Cart to omit the cPath parameter in the URI of linked products.
I am in the same situation as you with products that have cpath followed by number and Google say that i products with the same title and description duplicate.
I read the FAQ by Ceon and I understand you can not deal with this shortcoming.
I apologize for poor English. Thanks!

Apparently you can't read yourself.

Google does NOT give duplicate warnings if you are using the canonical URI functionality. So you must not be.
Make sure you are using version 4.0.3 of the software.

Hi conor,
My VPS use Nginx (not Apache), could you tell me how to write the rewrite rules for Nginx?
Thank you
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
I've tried searching this thread for answers but have found none. I also tried using the included FAQ but that didn't help either.
I installed the mod and it seems to work in the admin. I can set URIs with no problem and have done so on my categories just to try it out. When I click on a category link on the front end of my shop, I get a 404 error.
I updated my .htaccess to look like what was suggested on the Installation Check page and that page says "All checks passed".
I am using Zen Cart 1.3.9h
My server is Linux at GoDaddy
I am using PHP 5.3 and MySQL 5
I just downloaded the mod today so I have the latest version installed.
My store is at http://d9s.co/shop/
Please help!!
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
Actually it was referred to several times in this thread and many others. The problem is with where you are hosting your zen cart. Sorry.

I can get the URI in WordPress and PrestaShop (which I may switch to) to work fine with my host. It can't be problem with the host if those other programs work.

Then things should work. So you must have done something wrong.
Please get in contact with FTP and admin details for your site and I'll take a look.
And please read my posts in future people!
