My Post/Zip Code field also moved to the far right, when I went to one column. Fix?

It looked like my test site link above, still with right column.
Captcha worked and looked perfect.
One column is an alternative that comes with this template in the Read Me file. Globally turn off right column and insert this code in stylesheet, copied below asterisks.
I use IE9 but have Firefox. It shows that the post code is .inputLabel #postcode. But I can't find that in the stylesheet to try and float it left.

7. If you would not like ANY sideboxes on this site, simply go to your admin under "Configuration", then "Layout Settings", and set the "Column Right Status - Global" to "0". This will turn off both left and right sideboxes globally, whether or not any of them are set to "on" under "Layout Boxes Controller". Then add this to your stylesheet:
#centerColumnWrapper2 {
background:#ffffff!important;
}
.centerColumn {
float:left!important;
width:95%!important;
}

I have a client that uses this template too and although he has a custom create account we never had that problem until he created the custom one...it looked right but then I did not edit that part of the stylesheet.css
we have the left side turned off only leaving the right side showing.
our code is like this--which is the original one:
#centerColumnWrapper2 {
margin:0 .5em;
width:70em;
}
#centerColumnWrapper2b {
margin:0 auto;
overflow:hidden;
width:70em;
}
.centerColumn {
width:75%;
float:left;
margin:0 2% 2% 3%;
text-align:left;
line-height:1.6em;
display:inline; /* fixes IE Bug in IE6 and earlier - do not remove */
}
check to make sure you do not have both codes in your stylesheet....try removing one to see if that works or reapply the one you removed and remove the other one to test after refreshing the store page.
Re: Apple Zen Support Thread
Thanks, will give it a try.
Re: Apple Zen Support Thread
No, did not work to move zip code field to left.
I really want this template to work. But I'm finding little things that might add up to not using it, especially when IE is set to Compatability View (we cannot control how customers may set their browsers.)

true but that is going to happen with any template. especially when the browsers get updated, then no telling what the customer is gonna see or us for that matter.
have you done any editing to your files other than adding this mod?
Re: Apple Zen Support Thread
Yes, it's messed-up that IE compatability view can do strange things to almost every template, even the newer free ones. On applezen, my bottom two banners can appear anywhere in compatability view, sometimes going across the middle of a category page. Other things as well.
I recently installed the Second Category Description Mod and Ultimate Cross Sell (the latter only few days ago.) But although UCS has it's own problems, it appears that the flying out zip code field happens with one column layout. So I went back to applezen's right column:
http://www.prommart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=5634
Link above is my main seo test product. I wanted a one column layout and intended to make several paragraphs of description, essentially turning the product page in to a blog devoted to that product. On Nov 4 it was page 4, position 10 on google. Today it is page 2, position 4 google for search term "Flaunt 91101". So I think my idea can work.
To compete with a competitor who this season actually took out domain names named after the dress designer and style number. See here:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=188033
I think site looks less bare with the right column turned on. But seo strategy was to strip product pages of all extraneous text, including all columns, so product text can dominate without dilution. Then use UCS for related products from that category only.
But the zip code field flying to the right just looks too confusing for customers to register.
I'm thinking that maybe I could make/get a custom registration page. If it were 2 columns (the registration itself, still one column site layout), I think it would push the zip code field where it should be. Then try my one column seo strategy again.
