buy a product by click on "add this to my cart", direct you to "Your shopping cart content" page. You can see very small product image(s) with no water mark. More over; on this page
You check Remove (product) and click on trash can, it turns you to above said page (Page title: Your Shopping Cart is empty) and you can see all products images on this page are not covered by water mark.

Hara, please help us help you.. Post a REAL LINK to a REAL SITE where the problem exists.. Now others posting here might like guessing answers based on imaginary sites.. I personally don't and won't spend too much time guessing at answers for problems I can't see.. Post a link to a real site so we can see what you are describing possibly answer your question..

OK. See this link:
http://www.cfm-usa.com/index.php?mai...=shopping_cart
You can see no water mark page. You also can try to add item to shopping cart and then remove from cart, the page will direct to no water mark images page.
Thanks in advance.

Shopping cart images are being generated by IH3, but IH3 does not watermark the shopping cart image. As far as I know/remember, Image Handler has historically only watermarked the small, medium and large product images. (someone please correct me if this is not true)
Regarding the new products list that is displayed after emptying the shopping cart: I can see that the new products list that appears when you empty the shopping cart does not show the watermarked images. Though IH3 is indeed generating these images, they are not watermarked.. (and just so it's clear IH3 is creating DIFFERENT images for this new product view than if you clicked the new products link)
Not sure why, but I can now see the issue you are describing.. Hopefully someone else following this thread has a idea how to resolve..

If you hover over the product images in the new products list shown after emptying the cart, the link you should see is not an image link but a link to the product details page.. this is correct behavior..

Based on looking at all of Hara's other links on this site, I'm fairly certain he has installed IH3 correctly and all the image files are in the correct location.. What's going on is not caused by an incorrect IH3 install..
I will need to test on my test store to confirm, but the issue he has described and (finally) demonstrated is an entirely different issue.. It is clear that the new products list that is displayed after emptying the shopping cart is somehow different than the new products link. (http://www.cfm-usa.com/index.php?main_page=products_new)

The watermarking seems to be working fine everywhere else.. It's just the new products list when you empty the shopping cart.. Haven't tested this myself to see if I get a similar result, but honestly I don't remember testing for this specifically..

I can't duplicate this on any of my test sites.
The only thing that may affect this is that the image heights and widths for the following are not the same. (All of these must be the same for height and width)
Small Image Width 178
Small Image Height 267
Image - Product Listing Width 178

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Thanks for confirming this Clyde.. I haven't had an opportunity to test this out myself, and I was stumped how this would work in one view of new products and not the other.. (especially since on the surface it appears that Hara's site is configured correctly) So it looks like Hara might have overlooked/skipped something in the readme/instructions.. (starting with the image settings you posted -- this IS covered in the readme..)

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
I have been looking through the forums to no avail. I recently installed IH3 on Zen-Cart 1.3.9h
I can import images, delete images, do all the IH3 functions, and all the images show up fine in the store front.
I installed via cPanel QuickInstall to /shop/
Like I said all the functionality is there but I can't get the preview images to show all I get are broken links.
After investigating this futher I discovered the the path to the bmz_cache in the manager screen is missing the /shop/ not being a php master I could not figure out how to change it. I looked at the DIR_WS_CATALOG entry in configure and that has the /shop/ and the full path is correct on DIR_FS_CATALOG.
Could someone help me with this?
Thank you :frusty:

Ummmm, not for nothing, but this is why a few of us mentioned a few times in this thread to your early inquires about IH3 to READ THE README.. Saves the volunteers here a LOT of time to not have to repeat verbatim what's already in the instructions..:shocking:

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Good Afternoon All,
I have uploaded the Image Handler 3 software to my zencart. What I am trying to accomplish is that when a user goes to my front page of my store http://10before6.com/zencart/index.php that when they hover over the images they will blow up to larger images. It seems to work on the some of the new products I add, but not in the main wrapper pictures of the shirts.
Can anyone give me direction on how to do this?
Thanks,
Jessica

Like all of IH3's features, if you do not have it configured correctly then it will not work correctly..
Please review your store's admin image configuration settings.. Based on looking at your site they are not correctly configured.. Hence this is why the image sizes look wrong in the center box and why the image hover doesn't work..
This is covered in detail in the IH3 readme.. Carefully review the Configuration and Troubleshooting tabs..

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Hello everyone, there is a thousand posts here and i dont know if my question/ inquiry has been made.
I am running zen cart 1.3.9
I have IH3 V 3
I have correctly installed IH3 and i can see it in the tools meni
here I can access products using IH3
I can also add Multiple images all adding at 3 different sizes.
My one and only concern which has been a problem to me for some time i additional images do not show my products.
Is there some code that needs to be added to the description for additional products to show on my site?
Is there some attributes that need to be added to the images?
I really do not know how i am to make aditional images show up on my site, could someone please help me?
My site is
www.snagssharkteeth.com
Additional images are a must for what i am selling.
Thank you anyone for youe time

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Ho clyde jones
yes i have set show additional images to 1 under
admin -> catalog -> product types -> Product - General -> click the edit layout button -> Show Product Additional Images (set to 1)
not sure if this has anyhig to do with it
but under catalog> product type on the right there are these words
Date Added: 06/01/2011
Last Modified: 06/21/2011
IMAGE DOES NOT EXIST
Products: 6
not sure if this has anything to do with the issue?

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
i use facebook plugin to add "like" button on all my items
the problem is facebook grabs the actual image and not the image made by image handler with the watermark
anyone here know how I can set up facebook command
"<meta property="og:image" content="<?php echo $fb_image; ?>" />"
to grab image handlers image with watermark?
or what is the php code to use image handlers image?
This would save me so much time not having to put my tag on all my pictures...

You probably should post this question on the support thread for your Facebook plugin..

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
@Snaggle - check your image filename extensions - unlike Windows, your server probably sees .jpg and .JPG as two different things.

Ryk, If he is using image handler3,
All he needs to to do is (in admin) is
1) go to the category/product listing where that product is listed
2) select the category the product is in, click on it
3) find the product listing and click on the imagehandler icon on the same line as it
4) The page that comes up will have a listing of all images associated with that product, any images showing in red have an extension, that doesn't match the original image
5) as for jpeg, jpg, JPEG and JPG, If you upload the image via image handler it will adjust the extension to match the initial image, IT WILL ONLY DO THIS FOR IMAGES THAT ARE OF THE SAME TYPE OF IMAGE AS THE ORIGINAL,
so for instance
If the original has a jpeg extension and you upload (via IH3) an image with a .JPG extension that extension will be changed to .jpeg to match the original image
BUT
If the original has a jpeg extension and you upload (via IH3) an image with a .gif extension that extension will be left alone, and that image will be displayed in RED in the images listing
ALSO
If the original has a jpeg extension and you upload via ftp (as in not though IH3) an image with a .JPG extension that extension won't be touched, and that image will be displayed in RED in the images listing

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
OK, well that's an improvement on IH2 - I haven't had chance to play with it properly yet so I wasn't aware of that.

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
facebook plugin does not have a support thread it was a tutorial I found on facebook
if anyone here knows what command I can use to get the images generated by this mod I think I can play around with it until i figure out the rest...
and one more thing... would it be possible for image handler to not rename the pictures? I have it set to the name of the item so it ranks higher in search engine results

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Ok, I had posted earlier last week about the Image Handler 3, I went through all my configurations, and changed my settings, but what I am still trying to do that will not work is make the images on the home page of my catalog (images in the main wrapper) become larger when I hover, not the new products on the left hand side. Those are the only ones that get larger when I hover.
Can someone please help me
The site is http://10before6.com/zencart/index.php
Thank you so much!!!

Jessica as I posted a few days back, I can tell by looking at your site that you do not have all your image settings configured correctly for the image hover to work as it should in all place..
Please RE-REVIEW the section on the image hover in the IH3 readme.. The small settings (covered in the IH3 readme) must be configured correctly for the image hover to work in all the places it's supposed to work.. My guess is that if the hover works in one place but not another that you do not have ALL of your small image settings configured as prescribed in the readme.
After you re-review the readme, make sure ALL of the small image settings for your site are correct. (and BTW, just ONE page back in this support thread the same/similar question was asked, and the small image settings were in fact not correct..)

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Not working for me IH 2 uninstalled 3 installed on a clean install of ZC up to date version.
having problems here, Winmerge doesnt work for me ( i hate learning new crap)
Fual Slimbox -Look for changes marked with the text "Image Handler changes" from the additional_images.php file that comes with Image Handler3. These modifications should be merged into the additional_images.php file that comes with Fual Slimbox.
(You will need to use a file merging program like Beyond Compare or Winmerge to incorporate the Image Handler3 changes
Why can't you make the additional_images.php for the 2 different ones so we can incorporate the one needed.

having the watermark on the image at FB would be nice but if you use the IH3 image then if you should ever need to clear the bmz_cache folder's cache then poof goes your image at FB
the one showing at FB is not very big and when they click it it goes to your store not the actual image so should be fairly safe
I did not realize that you were using the actual code from FB I thought you were using the mod...have you tried asking FB people about how to do it

do you have zen lightbox installed? if so then you don't need to merge the file...just install the one from LB into the proper place in a folder with your themes name on it then leave as is
IH3 uses it, providing you have the latest version of LB installed

not sure if anyone has answered you and if they have then sorry if this repeats it but
your first culprit to look at would be the quickinstall you used. I learned the hard way to manually upload files to their proper folders (match name of zips folder to sites folder then upload to the site folder)
although those installers are handy they are good at messing up folders, files get corrupted or not set up right
as you can see the file path got messed up in your case. have you tried going to store admin/tools/IH3/admin in there/uninstall then reinstall from there?
otherwise I don't have a clue other than manually reuploading all the files AFTER uninstalling from the path I told you first.

As long as you are going to be doing your own web development, especially using a tool like Zen Cart, you are going to have to be prepared to learn some new skills. Otherwise might I suggest you give some thought to hiring someone to help you with your installs/configurations.. Might be worth the investment to pay someone to help you with tasks you may find challenging.

I'm gonna assume you didn't mean this to sound as snarky as it comes across..
That said, I'm sure you can appreciate that FREE modules are generously contributed by VOLUNTEERS. These volunteers contribute Zen Cart updates/enhancements/mods in their free time without any kind of compensation for their time and effort.. The volunteers who worked on IH3 didn't "make the additional_images.php for the 2 different ones" because they felt that:
A. The addition of the instructions on how to integrate the two most popular lightbox solutions with Image Handler (instructions which were not included in previous versions of Image Handler BTW) was MORE than sufficient to help guide folks through executing this process.
B. It was MORE important to devote their volunteer effort into improving IH3's functionality and documentation.
Now it's open source software.. So there's nothing stopping someone else from volunteering to add the modified additional images files needed to use IH3 with Fual Slimbox or Zen Lightbox to the IH3 fileset (and the later is not necessary since the IH3 readme file CLEARLY indicates that the additional images file that comes with ZLB should REPLACE the one that comes with IH3).
That said, a constructive question on where you are having issues will go a long way to getting your issue resolved versus posting gripes about what SHOULD or SHOULD not be included in the IH3 fileset.

Not being rude but...here's a valid question. Why can't you take the time to learn how to use WinMerge or some similar tool, thereby empowering yourself to be as self sufficient as possible? That way, if you run across a mod that needs file merging and that isn't as well supported as this one, you'll know what to do

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Hi guys,

We actually can't help you with issues related to another mod.. (Sorry..) However if I had to hazzard a guess I'd say that the Dual Pricing mod modifies some of the same files used by IH3 and you are wiping out the IH3 changes because you are not merging these modifications. Using a file merging program you need to merge the changes between any files Dual Pricing has in common with IH3.. I'm afraid we can't be of much more help as the issue here is not IH3 at all.. It is an incorrect install of your Dual Pricing mod..

OMG I am sorry! It wasn't meant to be snarky or rude. New customers being too damn picky got on my nerves......I was venting and typed in wrong tab That was suppose to go into my WD Journal!

You're welcome, but all of this really is covered in the readme..
From the readme:
Quote:
CONFIGURATION
Image Handler3 works out of the box. There’s no need to configure anything if you are ok with the presets. If you want to change the way Image Handler deals with your images go to Configuration > Images.
Quote:
Images Configuration page Go to Configuration > Images page inside your admin interface.
{Screen shot of image configuration}
Quote:
Zooming (fancy hover effect) When selecting this feature for small images, the medium or large image (depending on your admin settings) pops up whenever you move your mouse cursor over the small image.

could you post a link to your store
a list of how your image settings are done
that line in the code has to do with the size large...does it have any effect in the store end at all
does the mod work in other respects?

I am sorry but you will not be getting very good help if you make everyone guess.
It has been mentioned MANY times that to get good help posters need to place a link to their store so that the helpers may go see with their own eyes what is happening.
so please post your store software version and store link in the thread to get help that will benefit you to fix it sooner.

well I kill my own store occasionally so I am well aware of messing things up royal...lol
well you should get better help than what I can off but I am confused a bit. I went to the link and I see the main product image...opens to a nice sized larger image to view details well.
at the bottom of the page I see the additional image--when you said you have multiple images i thought you meant more than 1 of the same image at the bottom....I see only the one additional image that is slightly different than the top one.
I also noticed that when the additional image is clicked on to view it does not show...see pic posted
did you make sure all your files are in their correct places on the server?
have you tried going to admin/tools/IH3/itw own admin link and clearing the cache? Or going to the server and deleting all folders in the bmz_cache folder?
when I hover over the image it does not show the link as bmz_cache BUT when I choose to view image when right-clicked it does show the right path...confusing to me but then I confuse easy.

Thats whats got me confused I'm tempted to try deleting the image from the product but although I have more bacups than I can shake a stick at I'd rather not if it will totally balls it up even more

and when you hover over the images show on the products detail page it will NEVER show the URL for the image in the bmz_cache folder. The URL you see when you hover the main product or additional images on the product detail page is the link to the pop-up window which will THEN contain the large image. If you right click the image from the popup window THEN you should see the large being served up from the bmz_cache folder.
That said if you right click the main product image (medium image) and the additional image thumbnails (small image), they should be served up from the bmz_cache folder.

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Update just went back into admin deleted the images in the product pages fine but when I reinstall the images it picks up the image I want plus the image from a different product :frusty:

Clear the FOLDERS (not the .htaccess and .keep files) from the bmz_cache as suggested.. IH3 built this and it will re-build it again after you empty it.. Remove the images from the offending products and THEN re-load the main and additional images again and let us know if this works..
BTW, you do not need a bazillion backups of your images.. You only need ONE backup of your original images..

a few more observations.
- DON'T use spaces in your image file names. It appears in this product that you have an additional image named "40 Watt solar panel", and it doesn't appear to have a file extension at all. (which may be why the store ignores it)
- As has been said in the README and in this support thread, you only need to upload ONE image to the main image folder and it should be the LARGEST image. IH3 will then take care of generating the small and medium images. In the example you provided it appears that your large product images are stored in "images/large".
- Once reason additional image may not show up is because the filetypes/extensions do not match the main product image. IH3 will help you spot when these situations exist as post here by nigel a week or so ago: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...&postcount=224

I am Having a number of issues.
1. my read me file no longer has tabs at the top. I am guessing that the wrong type of program is trying to read this file. Or maybe something is corrupted. I would love to get my hands on the read me file.
I have successfully installed IH3 on one of my sites www.daysgonebuy.com
2. My other site www.classic-flatware.com is giving me problems.
Both sites are v1.3.9 h
The category picture shows up but no Item picture.
http://classic-flatware.com/index.ph...oducts_id=1268
So that is a problem.
Then If you scroll down to my additional pics, and click on them they will not open up.
To sum it up I have no item picture just the category image.
and when you click on a picture the new ( larger) images does not open.
I have uninstalled ,then reinstalled IH3. I think I have files in the wrong place. What would happen if I removed the bmz_cache ? would I loose my images?
Thank you.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the IH3 readme configuration and troubleshooting sections included useful including the topic of file naming and how additional images are detected in Zen Cart (via the file names).. Seems like you overlooked this information??? Suggest going back over the readme and reviewing this information so that you are fully clear on how images and image naming works in Zen Cart.

Not your original images, but IH3 won't work without the bmz_cache folder.. STRONGLY suggest reviewing the IH3 readme and now that I give this some more thought, perhaps a do over on your IH3 install is the best approach.. It's near impossible to help you when it sounds like you don't have IH3 installed properly.. No sense in trying to spend time working through your issues until you have this mod installed correctly..

there is in no image in the location that Zen Cart is looking for the product images in... The product is linked to a non-existant image: http://classic-flatware.com/images/m...M54006_MED.jpg Secondly as I JUST posted today, you do not need to use the large and medium image folders. Upload your LARGEST image to the images directory and IH3 will generate the small and medium images based on your image settings..
This tells me that IF you have IH3 installed correctly, then you need to update your products so that they are pointing to the correct image location.. This is less of an IH3 issue as much as it is an issue of your product images are configured incorrectly.. Suggest reviwing all of your products to be sure that the product images are correctly loaded and in the right places.

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Im using the zen cart version 1.3.9f with image handler 3.
I did as the instructions said, but still I cant get it to work.
Both in admin section and in my web shop the images are broken.
The weird part is that in the bmz cach folder, its only two testpictures.
I use zen lightbox. But I deleted the "includes/modules/digitalshop/additional_images.php" from image handler folder before copy them. The original zen lightbox additional_images.php is still there. I try to copy the file from image handler to the folder in my ftp, but it didnt work anyway.
Any ideas what it can be?

As has been mentioned ad nauseum,
post a link to your site, we cannot guess
what version of zen lightbox are you using as some of the older versions aren't compatible, what are the settings on the bmz_cache folder
Did you actually run the install script admin -- tools -- image hndler - install image handler.
check your /cache file for debug files

Image Handler3 for v1.3.x

PURPOSE & AIM
Image Handler3 at the heart of it's code is really meant to ease the management of product images (particularly the management of additional product images), and to help improve page performance by optimizing the product images.
Image Handler3 generates product images (based on your image settings) in the Image Handler3 bmz_cache folder. It DOES NOT replace or modify the original images. So it's PERFECTLY safe to use on an existing store.
Image Handler3 enables you to use GD libraries or ImageMagick (if installed on your server) to generate and resize small, medium and large images on the fly on page request. You can simply upload just one image or you can have different sources for medium and large images. Image Handler3 further enables you to watermark your images (overlay a second specific translucent image) and have medium or large images pop up when you move your mouse over a small image (fancy hover).
This contribution includes a powerful admin interface to browse your products just like you would with the Attribute Manager and upload / delete / add additional images without having to do this manually via FTP. Image Handler3 works fine with mass update utilities like EzPopulate.
Features
Improve site performance (faster loading, faster display)
Professional looking images (no stair-effects, smooth edges)
Choose preferred image-types for each image size
Uploading one image automatically creates small, medium and large images on page request
Drops in and out seamlessly. No need to redo your images. All images are kept.
Easy install. One-click-database-upgrade.
Works with mass-update/-upload tools like EzPopulate.
Watermark images to prevent competitors from stealing them.
Fancy image hover functionality lets a larger image pop up whenever you move your mouse above a small image (switchable).
Choose an image background color matching to match you site's color or select a transparent background for your images.
Manage your multiple images for products easily from one page just like you do with attributes in the Products Attribute Manager.
Image Handler3 is meant to ease the work required to setup images for your store. It works WITH default Zen Cart functionality, it does not replace it. There are a couple of threads which explain what Image Handler IS and more importantly what it is NOT. It is suggested that you read everything before you install Image Handler3. Here's some additional FAQs which discuss how product images and the override system work in Zen Cart. It is strongly suggested that if you are NEW to Zen Cart and web development that you read these threads BEFORE you install Image Handler3.
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...postcount=6205
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...postcount=6360
!!READ EVERYTHING!!
After following the installation instructions, it is very strongly recommended that you read through the ENTIRE "Configuration" & "Usage" sections of this readme. There you will find out exactly what Image Handler3 can do.
Ready to get started? Just follow the installation instructions.
Calculate Image Size Yes
Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories 1
Small Image Product images that appear in the sideboxes (New Products, Featured Products, etc). This image setting also corresponds to the additional product images on the product info page.

Image - Featured Products Product images which appear in the featured product listing pages

This is truly not an IH3 support issue.. You need to use a program that can extract the files from the IH3 .zip file. Based on your description it sounds as if you are opening the readme file directly from within the IH3 .zip file. You need to extract the files from the IH3 .zip to correctly view the readme..

So in the name of closing out this discussion let me add this:
To properly view the IH3 readme file you MUST extract the IH3 .ZIP file (and tell the unzip utility to *retain* folder structures). The IH3 readme is a mini webpage and cannot be viewed properly from within a .ZIP file.. You MUST extract the contents of the IH3 .ZIP to properly view the IH3 readme.
Now at the risk of folks taking what I say/mean here out of context, this really is NOT an IH3 support related issue. I'm sure that others may have had a similar issue.. However, anyone having similar troubles extracting files from the IH3 .ZIP file or who requires further assistance on how to extract the contents of .ZIP files should create a new thread in the forum.
The Zen Cart community is great and there are a ton of folks here who will more than able to provide any further explanations on working with .ZIP files needed.
Unfortunately this support thread is not the place for this discussion. All Zen Cart mods are in .ZIP format so knowing how to extract from .ZIP files is not just required for IH3. Just like learning how to use FTP tools is a skill set that must be acquired for Zen Cart development, knowledge of .ZIP extracting tools is required as well.

And yes. I did install image handler in the admin section. Both my BMZ_cach and Image folders are set to 755. also tried with 777.
So nothing in the /cache folder ?
The images are showing as being in the bmz_cache even though they don't seem to be there
Have a look in side the bmz_cache are there sub_folders being generated there
When i go to view one of the images I get a 500 error (internal server error)
http://www.ciggen.se/bmz_cache/1/1a9...mage.80x80.jpg
If an images isn't there it should be a 404 error like the one below will give
http://www.ciggen.se/1/fake_image.jpg
Something is wrong with the bmz_cache (possibly ownership not permissions)
Did you originally install zencart by yourself or did you use fantastico or simplescripts to install it?

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
I installed zen cart by my self.
There are one sub-folder in bmz. Name of the folder is 0.
I tried to upload a image for my product through the image handler in admin, but it did not work eather.
In my Mysql server it said that I have the GD or what it said in the install instructions.

I tried to upload a image for my product through the image handler in admin, but it did not work eather.
In my Mysql server it said that I have the GD or what it said in the install instructions.
What exactly didn't work? normally there will be an error message
and again is there anything in the
/cache folder
as this is where a lot of errors are stored

Lightbox problem
Hi,
Thanks for this mod which I've installed successfully. Unfortunately I do have a minor hiccup which I just cant figure out.
My large images no longer show in my lightbox, I just see the spinner. I'm using a custom template which seems to use a simple lightbox which it calls - darkbox.
If its any help my lightbox does not use an additional_images.php file.
My large images are certainly present as I can use the hover function with a large image.
Any ideas please?

Re: Lightbox problem
I installed image as the readme said except for the 2 files in bmz_cache. .htaccess and .keep, they are not supported by my server. I figured I would try any way. It installs sucessfully, but when i click on manager, it says page not found.

Re: Lightbox problem
Update- I think I found the problem, I missed installing one file, but now, none of my images work, including in image handler.

Re: Lightbox problem
You should contact the template maker and see if they can help you troubleshoot their lightbox.. This thread is not the right place to sort out support issues related to your template's lightbox..

Re: Lightbox problem
Ok, I have been messing around with a but, and this is what has come up so far. I upload a .jpg image, it will not work as a category image, or product listing image. But when you mouse over it works, and when you go to product details it works. I uploaded a .bmp image, and it works every where as advertised. Strange.
Take a look: here

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
ummmm how to make image handler disable popup on hover and replace it with zoom on hover? popup on hover is blocked by most browser @.@

Take a look:
here
1) Bitmaps are not being handled by image handler, image handler only handles images designed for website, bitmaps should never ever be on a website.
2) Something is hinky with your server, image handler is handling the jpegs, BUT, something on your server is stripping the / out of the url
This is what is showing as the source for the missing image
bmz_cachecc6a1bd6a8e4647b323b723816f16e890.image.100x78.jpg
This is what it should be saying
bmz_cache/c/c6a1bd6a8e4647b323b723816f16e890.image.100x78.jpg
Somewhere along the line the forward slashes are being stripped, this has happened before with some weird server setting, there is a workaround in the IH2 thread, opefully someone will point you to it, as I have the flu and can't think properly at the moment

Huh, no idea what you are on about
post a link to the effected page
are you meaning
1) on the product information page where you click the link for larger image pop-up or
2) the category listing pages where the larger image appears automatically on hover.

The images wont work, that΄s what I meant.
I tried to upload a medium image. And the cach-folder now created 0,1,3,7,c,e,f -folders with the image I uploaded but in different sizes. But the images still wont show on my webstore =/

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
@landin
1) I want to know about the /cache folder, not the /bmz_cache folder, as the /cache folder is where php error messages are stored and hopefully there will be error messages in there regarding this problem

Okay
Now regarding the /bmz_cache folder,
from what you have said
i am assuming the following
Images are being created in the bmz_cache folders, and are visible when viewed via your hosting control panel, BUT the image can't be viewed when you try to view them on the site OR via a direct link in the browser?
Try this
try deleting the .htaccess file out of the bmz_cache and see if that makes a difference,
If it does make a difference, copy the ,htaccess file out of images into the bmz_cache (the 2 files are identical, but for some bizarre reason this has fixed some peoples problems)

No. The image could not be viewed from admin control panel eather.

This worked. I can now see all my pictures in admin and on the webstore. Thank you so mutch!

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
thank you nigel for the help. I went back to IH2 support forum, did some searches, but came up dry. That thread is really long! Still no luck getting my images to work properly.

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Nigel, you say the .bmp's are not being handled by IH, is that why in the source it shows <img src="images/2.5x6.bmp" and for the .jpg it shows like you stated earlier "><img src="bmz_cachecc6a1bd6a8e4647b323b723816f16e890.image.100x78.jpg
But, I uploaded the .bmp through handler? Thank you again for the help.

Like Nigel, I am not exactly clear on what it is you are asking either..
but IF you are asking about replacing the large image popup (the one which brings up the large product image in a popup window when you click on the "Larger Image" link underneath the medium image)
THEN...
You apparently missed the LONG detailed explanation in the...
--yep you guessed it--
in the IH3 README regarding hover on medium images and WHY this feature is not included in IH3 and WHY it won't be included anytime soon. It also includes instructions for implementing medium image hover with a TON of caveats for using that method because the method used creates a host of other issues.. I will not re-post all of this here.. it's ALL in the readme..

Re: Image Handler 3 Support Thread
Diva- do you have any idea what would cause the forward slashes / to be removed from here: img src="bmz_cachecc6a1bd6a8e4647b323b723816f16e890.image.100x78.jpg
