right where i need to be now, thanks, for some reason the search button is out of place by half, is this because is removed the right side boxes ? and where is the file located that i can edit to move its position down ?
Hi anne, the site is now on www.chapelhillstoves.co.uk, iv sorted the layout issue with the search button, seemed to move when i disabled the right side boxes so i just edited its position, im now struggling to find where to change the transition of the slide so i can have it to fade like on the older responsive apparel boutique template, is this still possible ? :dontgetit , also i want to put up some mirror image sites on different url's, but not the full site, just so the links on a mirror site point to the main site
Check the slide show authors site for more information about available settings:

Thanks,
Anne
hi anne, i want to use webmaster tools with the website, i have it all verified and need to submit a sitemap, can you advise me on the best way to do this using the responsive template ? i dont want to use any old add on and break the website. Thanks
hi anne, wondered if you could take a quick look at my site, the responsive design is still working but is all off centre, this happened after installing cookie control, reverted back to backup but still something has changed would using right hand sideboxes be a quick and useful solution or am i risking breaking the responsive design ?
www.chapelhillstoves.co.uk
hi sorry anne the url is working again now if you can take a look
Thanks
When you click a product image to show the larger image, it opens a pop-up window that is smaller than the product image.
I have read this whole thread and I saw this come up twice but the only answer was "This is actually a bug in the responsive template default package that I used to build these templates. The bug has been fixed in the new responsive template default package and so will be fixed in my packages when I update them to the new code."
Anybody have the bug fix?
Thanks for the quick answer. That was easy. It also showed me the probable reason why my new site was loading slow, I was using huge pictures right from the smart phone.
how would one go about changing the order of the layout for the responsive mobile side? on the mobile side it displays, header / side boxes / page area / footer
the problem is the "page area" is all the way at the bottom and you need to scroll with the phone to the bottom to even notice that the page loaded.
i.e. i pick a product category and it loads all the products in that category to the "page area" at the bottom of the mobile site. however you can't see that it actually loaded anything on the screen unless you scroll down. i have a feeling customers are just going to think it's reloading the same page over and over again.
is it possible to have the "page area" load after the header and before the side boxes?
Hi Anne,
I haven't changed templates on my site in quite some time. Can you please give me a quick tutorial on how to proceed with this? I've downloaded the Boutique Template from Zen Cart, now what should I do ? Thanks again.
Hi,
I just did all the installs and configured per the readme file and now I don't get my site to load. Any ideas ?
This is what I get when trying to preview the installed template
I get a 404
yep. Any idea what would make both of my templates no longer load?
Hi Anne,
I've narrowed down the problem to being somewhere in the index-header.php file. Can I pm you a copy of the file I downloaded for you to see if there is something wrong ?
v154 Fresh install of both Zen Cart and the Responsive Apparel Boutique template. No other add-ons or customizations.
This template is exactly what I was looking for. :) But I'm having a little problem adding the about us page via the sql patch. I copied the code from the about_us.sql file in the template package and pasted it in Tools > Install Sql Patches > SQL Query Executor. No apparent errors or flags on the action. However, there is no About Us page on the Define Page Status.
I found the same problem in post #84 of this thread and you said there is a bug that will be corrected in the next update. Is version 1.0 the latest?
Thanks for your help. I am not new to Zen Cart or your templates but it's been at least three years since I've worked with either. Feel like a complete newbie at this point :)
Dorothy
I'm back to working on the site now and see there is a link to the About Us page from the left column Home page. There still is no About Us page shown in Configuration > Define Page Status. However, the link from the left column does show the dummy text I entered via the Tools > Define Pages Editor. So I guess I have found a workaround to getting the About Us page live. If there is something else I should be doing to get the page to show in Configuration > Define Page Status, please let me know.
Thank you,
Dorothy
thanks, Anne, I'll search for that.

Just a quick question. Can anyone guide me or tell me how i can make my main page logo centralised.
At the moment its on the left hand side of the page and i would like to move that towards the middle of the main page...
Also, where do i need to go to change the colour of the text on the site ?
Thank you
Thank you so much Anne.... your a star X
Hi Anne,
I am not quiet sure how to change the code to make the image centralised?
thanks
Hello,
Is there an uninstaller available for Responsive Apparel Boutique Template?
I was installing over all, but one installed payment module and ultimate SEO urls, fresh install (of 1.5.4 files and updated DB from 1.38a) but couldn't get it to work despite several re-copying of files and retrying of sql installs, Menu items mentioned in the install documentation won't come up and installation documentation is missing all of the pictures (such as one from the step 7 'Product Listing' where I should copy something). So I give up and look up for something else. The question now is that if I will manually uninstall every change in database or is there an easier way?
I drank some beer, went to sauna and feel better now and will give it another try.
Are you able to fix the pictures documentation? If I use http://www.picaflor-azul.com/free-de...ct_listing.png, I only receive error "Requested Range Not Satisfiable".
You can find the current end result from our sites temporary url http://www.hevosvoima.com/shopdemo/
I would like to know under the mobile ver.,how to change the images size in the product listing page.
I tried to Edit the includes/templates/apparel_boutique/css/responsive.css file. but could not find out where to change.

Hi, is this template plugin compatible with Zen-Cart 1.5.5?
Hi Anne, Thank you so much for your templates!
I am in the process of comparing your files to new 1.5.5 files. I have found this file in your download:
includes/classes/categories_ul_generator.php
It appears in 1.5.5 also.
It seems other than cosmetic changes there is one line that has changed.
In your file from the template package we see:
But in the zen-cart file it is:Code:function zen_categories_ul_generator($load_from_database = true)
Am I safe to conclude I can delete the old file from your template plugin package and use instead the file that comes with 1.5.5?Code:function __construct($load_from_database = true)
I "plopped" the 1.5.5 version of the file into my live cart 1.5.1 and it didn't seem to break anything. Running with it...
Thanks for making me chew my own food! :smile: Onward, through the fog.
For anyone else looking for this valuable information, the discussion can be found on Anne's excellent site: https://www.picaflor-azul.com/suppor...ic.php?t=84420
It seems that to make the Description and Details sections revealed by default, make this change in /includes/templates/responsive_apparel_boutique/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php:
toCode:<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
jQuery(".content").hide();
//toggle the componenet with class msg_body
jQuery(".heading").click(function()
{
jQuery(this).next(".content").slideToggle(500);
jQuery(this).toggleClass("minus");
});
});
If you would like the Details header removed, change:Code:<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
// jQuery(".content").hide();
//toggle the componenet with class msg_body
jQuery(".heading").click(function()
{
jQuery(this).next(".content").slideToggle(500);
jQuery(this).toggleClass("minus");
});
});
toCode:<div class="layer1">
<p class="heading"><?php echo PRODUCT_DETAILS; ?></p>
<div class="content">
If you would like the Description header removed, change:Code:<div class="layer1">
<!-- <p class="heading"><?php echo PRODUCT_DETAILS; ?></p> -->
<div class="content">
toCode:<div class="layer1">
<p class="heading"><?php echo PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION; ?></p>
<div class="content">
Code:<div class="layer1">
<!-- <p class="heading"><?php echo PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION; ?></p> -->
<div class="content">
Thanks Anne, please make any corrections.
Hi Anne
Thanks for the template - it looks great.
I'm installing it on v1.5.5 and I've got a piece of code showing up next to the cart icon on the header menu bar 'COUNT_CONTENTS();?> ITEM(S) - FORMAT($_SESSION['CART']->SHOW_TOTAL());?>' instead of '0 ITEM(S) - $0.00'
Do you know what I've done wrong?

My previous problem was answered by rbarbour - thanks for a great fix!
Now on to the next... On my cart page the contents and image aren't showing. Also the 'back to shopping' 'update cart' & 'go to checkout' buttons aren't showing either. I think i've broken the template somewhere. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi Anne
I'm having another problem with the 'Change Shipping Address' page. Two of the button_continue.gif buttons appear on the page. The button on the left doesn't go anywhere. While the one on the right goes to the checkout_shipping page. I'm thinking that the problem is not with the template but with the includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_checkout_shipping_address_default.php file in v1.5.5. Any thoughts about how to remove the right hand button?

Hi Anne
I'm looking at the product images in responsive mode on the demo site http://zenlyzen.com/responsive/index...ndex&cPath=1_4
The images art tiny. Is there anyway of making them larger?

Re: the Responsive Slides JS
1. I would like to remove the navigation at the bottom of the slides area. Purpose is to reduce the vertical scroll of the home page. I've used the Dev Tool Kit and Chrome's dev tools and haven't found where to do what I want.
2. I would also like to reduce the overall size of the slides container. I found div class="slidesjs-container which has the sizes set at 625px X 351.695px. My slides images are sized at 550x300 so there is not that much diffference but again, I would like the container not to be as "tall" as it is now.

Dorothy
I did try to add nav: false to includes/templates/responsive_apparel_boutique/common/tpl_home_slider.php but that didn't work.
Dorothy
TeamDoxie.com/index.php You need to use the index.php.
Dorothy
Thanks, Anne
Those two lines took care of the page nav circles and the prev and next arrows. Now just have to play around with that file to find how to get rid of the start/stop graphics.

Thank you so much for this template! I am getting there with it but I failed with the main page editor somehow. It was all working perfectly and then i tried to change the urls and now I have broken it! The images are showing as broken and not appearing anymore. May I have the code for the main page again please? Lesson learnt.. take a copy before changing!!
Hi Anne
I think I have done something that won't allow my site to be responsive. Everything seems fine with the site but it is just not responsive. You can see it here.
I have followed the instructions and have the Min side boxes all turned off, activated the responsive template in layout settings so I believe the sql patches worked. There is a file in the readme section that I don't know what it is for...jscript folder.
I do have a few add-ons. I am just stumped as to where to look for the problem. I don't even know where to start! I have searched and searched the forum. I initially thought I had done something wrong with the template but I think it is likely to be a change outside the template?? Help would be appreciated. :)
Hi, I cannot figure out why the links don't work when it is in responsive mode. If I am on my computer everything is ok but if I a on my phone the categories link does not work. Please help. You can see it on http://corset.ie
Depending on the browser being used, they can be really finicky or just pass over the mistake.
Developer's tools show several errors but the W3 Validator is only concerned with an open end tag for a ul.
I believe the Validator itself is confused by the code presented in the "handheld menu" portion of your main page. That's some really gnarly code.
After breaking it out and putting it in a better format (tabbing the lines), it looks likeI've highlighted in red what probably needs to come out to satisfy the Validator.Code:<!--bof handheld menu display-->

The worst offender is probably the ul without li.
After a fix, it may work in all areas but, I'm still wondering why the handheld menu display is even showing on the desktop version.:blink:
I am have been using install responsive apparel boutique template for a while. I am testing the new zen cart 1.5.6. I have run across 2 problems. When I add the sql patches, about_us.sql patch, the responsive.sql patch, and the responsive_apparel_boutique.sql patch I get an error message. Also, when I upload the template to my test site my site goes blank; I have the menu bar across the top but nothing below. This is before I switch to the template. Not sure what is causing the problems. Any thoughts? https://bendyyogi.com
Would love to see this template get a much needed update! Currently running 1.5.6a and this template doesn't seem to work with versions newer than 1.5.5f
