Posts #191 to #195 cover this, but I suggest creating your twitter api in their developer centre and then pasting the keys as described into twitter/index.php lines 27,30,33 & 36.
The final bit is the writable cache. Not mentioned much in the installation instructions it might need changing also. This is:
twitter/index.php line 48 needs to be changed. Example below.
Changed from:
// Path to writable cache directory
private $cache_dir = './';
Changed to:
// Path to writable cache directory
private $cache_dir = '/home/examplename/public_html/cache/';
To find the correct path refer to "DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE" in your /includes/configure.php

i have just installed this template and all is well front end
but now when i try to login to my admin side (backend i cannot find it all i am getting is WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.
this did not happen before until i installed this template
i accessed my admin area buy url mydomain.com/adminname but if i type in this now all i get is WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again. so cannot access the admin backend
any ideas
admin file is there so is login .php and index.php

I think this is the same issue as post #188.
I quickly restored the admin as follows:
1. Open admin\includes\installers\tableau\1_3_2.php in a txt editor.
2. Comment out (//) lines 2 & 22 then save the file. Now try admin again.
Worked for me. I don't know if this has any negative impact elsewhere but it solves my issue with no apparent affect. My template installed correctly up to current version 1.3.4 and appears fine. Maybe Numinix might be able to advise.
Also if Numinix is able to help, will you be releasing an update for this template for Zencart 1.5.4?? :lookaroun

I have this template running on v1.5.4 (current version) and appears fine. I "think" the line in question is duplicated in the query factory hence the error it throws out. Instead of messing with the query factory I have removed (commented out) the line in the template as it is probably best not to amend core zen files unless you need to.
It would be really really cool if numinix could spend a few minutes looking at this. This issue is apparent on all new test installs I have performed.
p.s. In my opinion this is on my list of best zen templates available...... A really big well done to Numinix. :hug:
Looking at using this for my upgrade to 1.5.4, and have run in to a lot of little bugs, every time I think I have found them all something else shows up. I'm getting close to heading a different direction with my template choice.

Is this change what breaks the Sort By: on the product listing? view here
Every time you try to sort it just takes you to the home page.
Any insight on fixing this would be greatly appreciated, as it may just be "the straw that breaks the camels back".
I have also noticed that in IE and Firefox the pics in the Best Sellers/Featured Products/New Products tabs on the home page do not auto resize, they do in Chrome and Safari.
So looking into it a little further the change to $listing_sql is just part of the responsive template and not the cause of the broken sort by....

I was also able to "fix" the Best Sellers/Featured Products/New Products home page tabs image issue by starting with a fresh install, installing IH first, then installing Tableau.
I am trying to remove or replace twitter on the homepage and right side menu. I cannot find how to do it. We have a small company and no time to do twitter. We do have facebook and blog, but I have spent about an hour looking on how to set them up and still have not found how. Please advise.

Take a look at includes/templates/tableau/templates/tpl_index_default.php for the code that displays the about us, bolg, and twitter feed on the homepage. I simply removed the blog and twitter sections and replaced them with my own content.

I have just done a fresh install of zencart and ftp'd the latest version of the tableau template. Have done this twice and each time I can log into admin section and select the template. Once selected I click the configuration option but nothing happens. Subsequently the admin stops working. I get a message 'WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.'. refresh does nothing. If you look at the actual site it does work though is in maintenance mode. Does the latest template work with the latest version of zencart?
Will this or any other Responsive Theme work with more than one language. I need to be able to have both English and Spanish. Thanks in advance.
Any template should support multi-languages.
However you will need to create the language files, if they aren't present.
Lets say you wanted to add "Klingon" you would need to copy the English language files rename where it says English to Klingon, and then translate. Unless language files already exist.

I have installed this a few times now on an upgrade 1.5.4 but the flexislider is not displaying at all. It doesn't allow me to upload the logo or there is not option in banner manger for Your banner title” or the group “footerbanner. The template is running but the actual slideshow is not.

I'm rebuilding highly customized 1.3.9h site from scratch. When I take a bare zc 1.5.4 install (test site) and then install this mod it will seize the site if my database uses prefix (like zen_) in the tables. If I do a clean install using a db with no prefixes, this mod works fine. Problem for me, my old database that I'd like to import uses prefixes.

Had difficulty with the product image size the product carousel only with the featured and new products. But by copying the code from the Best Seller Section in the tpl.index.php file and replacing the section marked in RED in the Featured and New product Section, it worked and all images are sized neatly.

According to your getting_started.html page it looks like these sections might be created under: Configuration area. I have none of these sections in my admin panel. I do have these sections:

Am I missing something here? If so, what folders can I upload to add these sections?

Sorry if this question has already been asked. But with all these Zen cart Responsive templates will most of the mods that work say for Zen 1.5.x , work in these templates also? In other words, are the templates used irrelevant to whether the mods work and it is really a matter of whether they work with the version of Zencart?

Be careful with "mods" (it all depends on the "mod")! Some "mods" or templates have core file overwrites which will need to be added to the template using file comparison.
This template has core file overwrites. Many templates (especially ones with added value) have overwrites. Being responsive is mainly CSS driven and won't affect the "mods".
Your assumption on Zencart version is correct, however some templates may need to have the left or right columns added/amended to see the added value (mod). This is a common factor for most templates but not normally an issue.
Without knowing which "mods" you are referring to it is impossible to help much further.
Just for the record I am using this template on Zen v1.5.4 and have a handful of admin & store "mods" installed. Some of them needed integrating manually and others worked out of the box. Just remember to BACKUP BEFORE trying to add ANYTHING.

I installed this template last night and everything seems to have gone smoothly, except for the shipping estimator as displayed on the shopping cart page.
I have three shipping modules: USPS, flat rate and free shipping if above a certain amount. Flat rate is displayed and free shipping displays when the cart amount qualifies. But the USPS rates will not display, no matter the cart amount.
Is there something in "tpl_modules_shipping_estimator.php" that needs to be changed?

The top menu on the Tableau theme has CONTACT US, LOGIN/REGISTER, MY ACCOUNT and SHOPPING CART. The font colors for shopping cart are not showing up well - when nothing is in the cart it is a very pale gray #e2e3df. When I viewed it on my client's computer (yes, they have an older flatscreen monitor) it didn't show up. I had a customer call in and said she could not find the Shopping Cart to click on. That light gray fades to white on older monitors. I have found hundreds of places that it's used in the css. But, I have yet to single out the Shopping Cart link so I can change it to something darker. Any suggestions?

In ZenCart if you want to use plugins on a different template, then you have to install it to that other template. What is most likely happening is you have only installed it to the default Zen Cart template.

I have just installed the Tableau Responsive Theme directly following a fresh install of Zen Cart version 1.5.1. (A one-click install from my hosting company / PHP Version: 5.2.17 / MySQL 5.5.33)
My problem is that when I go to: Admin => Tools => Template Selection => Tableau Configure - I can't seem to get the built-in Tableau configuration panel so save any changes.
Has anyone experienced this problem also?
I want to start off by saying I like this template and look forward to using it for my online store, but would like to see if it is possible to include a share button, so that product links could be shared to Facebook, Twitter, etc... I had the responsive blue template installed previously and liked that functionality it had included.

We have never worked with that module before so we do not have any quick way to tell you how to do this. It might be something that your developer might be able to figure out. Another option is to submit that question to the author of that plugin.

This plugin does come with a facebook like, pinterest button, and a google plus button. There is nothing stopping you from putting in other share buttons, you would just need to insert them into the code.

We have had users report a similar issue and found out from their host that their mod_security rules were the problem. Can you check if mod_security is compiled on your server and if so, request for your host to disable it? If that resolves the issue, they can turn mod_security back on, but they will need to tweak the rules it's using. Unfortunately, we do not know which rule is the culprit.
A few questions - I am new to Zencart and Tableau
1) I have gone into configure Tableau and upladed my store logo - it now shows on header and when you click on it you get to home page. The question is that when you hover mouse over logo it still says Tableau and I cannot find where that is to change.
2) when I try and configure home page to change blog rss section - I cannot get it to either see another site or remove it completely?
3) where do I modify to replace "your Banner Title Here" on main page?

1) To change the alt text you need to update that in YOUR_CATALOG => includes => languages => english => tableau => header.php
2) You need to configure it inside the template configuration. If you want to remove it you need to edit YOUR_CATALOG => includes => templates => tableau => templates => tpl_index_default.php
3) You modify that inside of your admin under tools => banner manager. You need to edit the header banner.

First, the demo page didn't adjust to my screen and I can't resize it to fit.

Thanks for the excellent template. Working through a few issues... As mentioned earlier in this thread, the product Sort By filter doesn't work - presumably as the code for handling the 'sortby' variable hasn't been written yet. Doing so is beyond me for the moment, but here's how I fixed it to use the current ZC Price & Name sorting capability (but not the Newest First & Most Popular options, which AFAIK aren't available in the ZC code):
In tpl_modules_product_listing.php:
1. Line 21. Change:

to:

(This stops the page number variable being passed, so you always get the first page of the newly selected order)

OK... I've gone to Admin/Tools/Image Handler to find out what Image Handler's all about, and in About/Help, it says "It is very strongly recommend you read through the ENTIRE "Configuration" & "Usage" sections of the Image Handler4 readme file. There you will find out exactly what Image Handler4 can do."
Maybe I'm being dim... can anybody tell me where the Image Handler4 readme file is? It doesn't appear to be anywhere in the Tableau folder.

Found a wee bug...
In tpl_modules_categories_tabs.php
Line 26 - $cPath = explode('_', $_GET['cPath']); & subsequent line 33 using this exploded $cPath.
Setting $cPath as an array here caused a few errors... a couple of PHP Warnings about strpos() in main_template_vars.php on line 75, and trim() in functions_general.php on line 63, and it also meant the Manufacturer filter didn't work as $cPath wasn't getting passed as a hidden field.
Changing this to $cPath_ary = explode('_', $_GET['cPath']);, and replacing $cPath with $cPath_ary in line 34 seems to do the job. (I'd have used the more obvious "$cPath_array" but it's used elsewhere and didn't want to risk messing up some other code.)
When trying to add a product, I enter all the info. then click 'preview'. The preview comes up, and when I click on 'Insert' it gives me the following error:
WARNING an error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

How do you change the home page of the Tableau template as to add "Monthly Specials"? I have successfully installed the Tableau template on two Zen Cart 1.5.4 engines, and have changed the settings in 'Configuration > Layout Settings' of 'Categories Box - Show Specials Link' to 'true', which was the default though it doesn't show up. Thoughts? Help! I want to use so many more of the Numinix products but need this issue solved first. Thank you!
Does anyone know what the TITLE_HOME_TAB_NEW_PRODUCTS should be changed to in order to reflect the SPECIALS that are on listed in ZenCart? PLEASE NOTE - Simply changing 'TITLE_HOME_TAB_NEW_PRODUCTS' to 'TITLE_HOME_TAB_SPECIALS' did not work.
I have been able to get almost everything working, regarding my question above, by editing the english.php file in the folders includes\languages\tableau. I tried to paste the code here, but was limited by number of characters I could post. I tried to upload the file but was told I was trying to upload an "Invalid File".

Thanks for pointing this out to us. When we created this template we did not design it to be able to have a specials tab. With that said, we understand the need for some to have this functionality. We will work on getting a release of this out to rectify this problem. Please expect the fix by the end of the week.
I have done a search on Github, though I might have checked a little to soon. I wanted to ask if you'd post the link here for everyone to find the most recent version or updates?

On home page the image carousel does not load correctly, it stalls until one of the 3 top links ( BEST SELLERS, FEATURED, SPECIALS) is clicked, then the image carousel loads. Does anyone know a solution for this?
Also on home page, the 3 columns with "About Us", Twitter and Blog, keep losing their alignment, as seen in the link above. I haven't touched the CSS in this section.
If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please let me know.
After further review, I have more info on the 3 columns with "About Us", Twitter and Blog, that lose their alignment.
After viewing the source code for the page and comparing it to the code in tpl_index_default.php , I see that the first 2 DIV tags in the blog section are not being written to the page, and that breaks the page formatting, as the end tags are being written to the page.
Can anyone figure this out? Could this be related to the javascript calls not loading properly in the section above it?
After checking the log file, I found that the problem with the 3 column alignment was because I did not have a valid BLOG feed URL in the Tableau Template Configuration settings.
For anyone with a similar issue:
Go to Tools > Template Selection
Click the "Configure" button on the Tableau image
Go to the "Home" section
Add a valid Blog RSS URL

In reference to the tab section, there was an error with the latest release that we are working on rectifying as we speak. The reason the images do that is due to line 3 inside of YOUR_CATALOG => includes => templates => tableau => jscript => jquery => jquery_tabs_index.js. You need to change line 3 to:
jQuery('.tabContent').hide().first().show();
