Hi,
I was wondering if you would be able to tell me how I can get a log in button on my main page. I think it would look best if it was located near the top right side.
Also, I was having some problems with my express checkout with paypal. My customers would get an error page like the post here:
My questions is can I install this patch with your template installed? Thanks!

Regarding the font color, which boxes exactly you would like to have changed?
For example the Categories have two colors, would you like to have changed both with #990000 and #EAD38E?

oh and one more thing, i took the second zip file attachment and replaced the files on my server (categories, currencies, and languages sideboxes) for the ones you had ( i did so in includes/templates/acadame/sideboxes/...) and no changes were made to my site: www.attireforall.com . did i not do it correctly?
You need to upload/replace the images in includes/templates/acadame/images...
If you still see no change, just clear the cache of your browser and reload your website again.

sorry still don't see a change. the files you in the zip are not located in images for me on the server. the files titled the same thing are located in the folder sideboxes.. sorry i am a bit confused. Also i meant that the first attachment, on the previous page, has no file with it. thanks!

because according to testuser - the author of the template - they images are where I described them, at least I found them there when downloading the template.
In includes/templates/acadame/sideboxes you will only find:
tpl_languages_header.php
tpl_currencies_header.php
tpl_categories.php
no images...
what do you have in images folder?

yes those three files are what I see in /sideboxes as well. In the zip file you have posted, those same three files are in it. That is why I figured it wouldgo in sideboxes.
In your zip file titled Sideboxes:
tpl_languages_header.php
tpl_currencies_header.php
tpl_categories.php
just like the sideboxes folder of the template.
oh...then I must have made a mistake, sorry...
You must upload th eimages into
includes/templates/acadame/images

I originally started creating my store in osCommerce but decided to switch over to ZenCart for the added features. I'm pretty good with design but have no clue about PHP. So here is my question..
In osCommerce, I used niftycorners for my tabs. They aren't image dependent and I like the way they work/look. See old site nave tabs on top - http://texasjackrussells.com/catalog/#
I would like to do something similar to your template with the maroon banner but instead of a solid banner, I would use the same color scheme I used for my old site.
In osCommerce site, I used div tags to wrap around the links. I don't know where to put the div tags to change out the look for the links in your template.

Go to tools/banner manager, enter the banner title and banner group, upload the image.
Then go to Configuration/Layout settings
You will find:
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 1
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 2
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3
Enter the name of the banner group in one of the three positions (i cant remember which one of them it was exactly, just try it out)

How do you like to have your fonts and where?
I would like the fonts to be this color: #0D6826 and preferably bolded. For the font type, I am not too picky; Whatever looks good :) .

ok...you will have to do taht in your stylesheet includes/templates/acadame/css/stylesheet.css
search for the word ´color´ and see if it is in the sidebox you wish to change...

Solved my problem. I went through Admin > Tools > Define Page Editor and used my new FCKeditor and just entered from there. Don't know why, don't care... but it worked.

Baby steps... lots and lots of baby steps! :) I'm trying to get all this done by Sept 10. That's when my season really kicks off. I already have a website for my PolarTec fleece, but I wanted to convert it to ZenCart for all the admin purposes. So I should make my goals... since I don't have to rewrite all the pages :blink:

On my site, www.attireforall.com , in the categories sidebox at the bottom where it says "All Products" , the color of the link font is green. Where do I change that?
Also how do I change the EZ Links font color since it is the same as my sidebox background?
And lastly, I was wondering if anyone could do me a huge favor :smile: My logo on the site seems to be to small. I would like it centered on the page and larger so that it pops out. Could anyone help me with this?

I need two versions of it. One can be the font color that it is now ( #0D6826) but I would like the little "dog tag" and links of circular chains attached to the name "Attire For All" by the last "L" to be this color : #990000 .
The other version I need is just the opposite. Have the tag and chains to be the color #0D6826 and the font color of the name to be #990000.
If a background color is required so that it is not white, please make it #EAD38E which is the color of my website background. Thanks for everyones help!!
Ok, after looking at my site, I decided I would like to try and remove the center category headers and the stroke around them. I would like to just have a text header for each section.
Any ideas on where to start? I'm assuming the CSS file would be a good source, but I can't figure out which class or ID is controlling that.

I would like to add a link to an EZpage from the categories sidebox. How can I achieve this?
The reason being that I have a huge list of products that are not for sale online, but the client wants them listed on the product catalogue anyway, but as a simple list - no prices or full description. I figured that an EZpage would be the answer but I don't know how to get the link into the categories sidebox??

I have a quick question. On my site I'd like to only show the shopping cart bar on the top only when there are items in the shopping cart. This way the main page should probably not have it, but as users shop and add to cart then they will start to see the cart and price on the top. I guess this can be done with an if shoppingcart not empty present, but I dont know much coding.
Any help is appreciated.

A un lado te doy mucha razón con respecto de rapidssl, pero prefiero tenerlo allí, primero (es solo mi opinion) siento que no deberia estar en el medio de la pagina donde no tiene sentido y segundo abajo tiene la informacion sobre pagos y es bueno que se vea allí que de una manera segura el usuario puede hacer sus pagos o comprar...pero muchas gracias por mencionarlo...

Ok, if I understand this correctly, when I look at Bebe & Ninos, I see the first sub category as a red font and the one below it is black, when they should both be red. Is that right?

For the center section, you don't have an image for Hora dormir y bañar. That could be the reason why it's all messed up. Did you try uploading an image?

I had noticed that the first example was:

}
Just so you know, FF0000 is red. I wasn't sure if that was what you wanted. It was for Alimentacion&Lactancia. If I'm reading it correctly, initially it was set for any part of that link.

sorry I took long to get back. Great job in getting that to work. Just so you know a little about CSS {you can always break and fix}. Other than that you can always use the AND method as opposed to additing additional lines. I see that you added it seperately but however this is how I did it.
I found the following lines:
li.category-products a{}
li.category-products a:hover{}
and added
li.category-products a, li.category-subs
li.category-products a:hover, li.category-subs a:hover
this way it all applies kind of like an if statement instead of adding it seperately [ you would do it seperately if you wanted to add additional properties].

Think it's all straightened out now ...
When installing templates for the first time, or Zen Cart for that matter, install the sample product data so things are a bit easier to get used to.
Once your comfortable that you've become familiar with the features of Zen, I'd say installing the sample data isn't necessary any more.

I need help getting the maroon menu bar to come up. Also in the demo you have a banner there and I cant get it to show up either. I download the logo file from the site but I don't know where to put it or do with it.
Ok i got the banner to work but I'm still confused about the maroon navigation bar :blink:
As far as I understood the maroon navigation bar are the EZ-Pages, therefore you will need to go to Tools/EZ-Pages and insert one for the header.

well, this is the breadcrumb, you van change this in your admin, go to configuration>layout settings>define breadcrumb status
you can turn it totally off, or always on or just off at the main page...

I dont understand how you configure the page. Do I insert html code?
You need to go in your admin to:
1. tools>ez-pages
2. then click on new file
3. fill out (just an example):
Page Title: HOME
you will want to have it in the header, so leave header on and where it says order enter 10, the others you should put off, except you would like to have this also in Footer or sitebox or TOC.
4. Internal Link URL: index.php?main_page
5. click on insert
and it should be done...hopefully...
You can do that for any other page you would like to have in this header...

This may sound stupid but how do you change the home page title :oops:
Having some issues here.. the template looks good for Firefox 2.0.x but when the site is preview in IE 7, all the fonts and layout is out of order - font size becomes large ... any idea?

Your template is awesome. However, I have run into 3 different things that I need help with.
1. All images that have links are surrounded by a red border on my site - how do I remove this border? Can I change this border color? Can I change the link colors for text as well - if so, how?
2. After listing categories and products - the category pages and product pages are not a desirable font - how can I increase font size on these pages/ change color of font/ change font?
3. I attempted to incorporate the look of my site into the cart so that there was easy navigation between the cart (products page) and the rest of the site. Is there an html file that I can edit for the www.mysite.com/zencart (zen homepage) that I can edit to include the navigation bar from my site. So far I have just updated the logo.gif to look like my site -- but users cannot click on the navigation.

I've had a look around and can't find the answer. Is the cart logo at the top supposed to be a link to the cart? Mine isn't, can someone advise me how to do this please. Also, would be great if I could add rounded corners to the header bar (maroon bar), I assume this would be achieved via css but not sure how?

I achieved the ´rounded corners´ by replacing an image, hope this helps...
