is it possible that customers can choose if the want to see the productlisting in a column grid or list-style?
How do I change the number of columns for the categories in the index page? I want to go from 3 to 2. :cry:
nevermind -.- found it. this addon should have all the options in one page rather than being spread out.
Hello,
I've recently installed this update.
I have to say, it looks good, but I seem to have a problem when I want to expand it in other places.
I've used it the show my products in general and it works fine :
http://picasaweb.google.be/delbecque...17977901151922
However, when I want to use it for the SPECIALS (on homepage), I seem to have 2 situations here.
On Internet Explorer :
Except from the full v_dotline, I see a second vertical dotted line.
http://picasaweb.google.be/delbecque...17972093544642
On Firefox :
I only see a vertical dotted line and my v_dotline is not appearing.
http://picasaweb.google.be/delbecque...17967961833666
Could someone tell me where the problem lies or where I should start looking? I'm currently looking in tpl_modules_specials_default.
Thank's in advance! :smile:
Is it possible to remove the grid just from the product info page (between additional images) but keep it everywhere else on my store?
Thanks.
Does anyone have a version that works with Zen Cart version 1.3.9f? The product_listing.php file has changed. This mod needs to be updated.
Does anyone here know how to change the vdot column width?
I've tried changing it from css, but the column obviously has dynamic width. I tested it on clean install with classic template. When i had 2 products in a category, the column width was 17px and when i had 3 products, it was 15px. How do i change it to 1px ?
The image attached shows what happens...
Hi,
Exactly what I am looking for :)
I am also using version 1.3.9v and wondering if an update will be available soon?? :)
Trying to install Divider Pro and it is just not working at all.
Currently have Column Layout Grid which works fine.
Added Divider Pro after Layout Grid. Here's what we have done so far:
Renamed your/template to simply_kerrin
Uploaded Div Pro into includes/templates
Once uploaded went into includes/modules/simply_kerrin/product_listing.php_UseWithColumnGridLayout_zc138 renamed to product_listing.php
And this is where we are at now. Is there another step we need to do or did we miss a step. Or do I turn this on somehow through admin?
Column layout on product is still working fine by the way.
Thanks for any help you can give us.
I posted this question in Alysa Rounded Template Support but she told me to come here.
On my front page I have where it says Current Sales (towards the bottom). I would like for it to match how the New Products and Featured Products look. Like the dotted lines in between the products, the text on top of the product pic, the price down below and the product details tab.
How would I go about doing that?
Thanks!

I installed this for a client -- had already installed column grid and grid for new and all listing pages
1. how is this supposed to show in the featured if the featured are in columns NOT grid
2. how to make featured listing page into a grid and have this work
3. how to make it appear in the new and all listing--they are in grids but no lines
looks nice these lines I might also add, thanks

Hi
I have this mod working on 1.3.9h and all seems well apart from one small problem.
If i have 2 products on page 2 of a category then they align left and right with big gap in the middle.
However if i have 2 products on page 1 of a category then they both align left as they should.
I narrowed it down to this mod, and not the column grid contribution, but cant work out what to change.
I just installed this for use with Column Layout Grid for Product Listing mod. The dotted line is still not showing on the page. Not sure what to try. Here's the page:
http://theindigopath.com/buy/index.p...=index&cPath=2
hopefully, someone can help me.
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I just double checked that I did upload all the files to the proper locations, including the delim_v.gif. Any other suggestions?
I did alter modules/my template/product_listing.php. On line 243, I changed $col_width_div to $col_width because it seemed to have taken it out of column mode. I wasn't sure of how to fix this, but still no dotted lines are there.
I've changed it back to how it was originally, please take a look at the result:

I appreciate your help,
Gaius
question for you cause it just dawned on me:
admin> configuration> product listing>productlisting- layout style
is that set to columns or rows.
if set to rows change it to columns and let us know what happens.
ALSO. these are the only files you uploaded ---right?
includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE\common\tpl_monthly_display.php
includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE\css\stylesheet_dotline.css
includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE\images\delim_v.gif
NOT: includes\modules\YOUR_TEMPLATE\product_listing.php_UseWithColumnGridLayout
The setting is set to columns. As I said before, when I changed that one line in product_listing.php, it appears in columns. But when I just uploaded the 1.3.8 version, it appears how it is now.
I uploaded the following files that came in the package I downloaded:
includes\templates\template\images\delim_v.gif
includes\templates\template\css\stylesheet_dotline.css
includes\templates\template\common\tpl_columnar_display.php <--This came in my package, not monthly_display. I can't explain this...
includes\modules\template\product_listing.php_UseWithColumnGridLayout_zc138 <---I renamed this to product_listing.php and uploaded it to the server. Should I go back to the original file here? Is this because I'm running on 1.3.9?
Could you copy the code from the monthly_display.php file so I can reference it?
just checked the folder with the contents---got that info from the read me...and there is no such file so author must have mistyped his read me.
I have this working in 2 stores that I set up with both this mod and the column layout grid. they are 1.3.9h NOT 1.3.8
Have you tried adding the column layout grid mod too since it comes with an sql code to use in sql of admin?
I currently have column layout grid installed at my store. I installed it and it was working properly before I tried to install this mod. Perhaps I'll take the files out and restore it and trying to put them back in.
When you installed, did you use the product_listing.php that ended in 1.3.8? or did you just use your original product_listing?
Wonderful Add-on, a million thanks for sharing it!
Two questions if okay:
1) Is it possible to change the dotted line to solid and maybe change it a light gray?
2) How can I decrease the white space in between the rows? I'd love each row to be a little closer together (top-bottom).
Thank you again!!!
http://lunapetuniadesigns.com/index....=index&cPath=1
the dotted line is just an image file so you can get it from your zip --- put it into photoshop or psp and create a new one then upload it (using the exact same name) to overwrite the one on your server
about the space between...that is I think somewhere in the .css style sheet for the store template...
Thank You, DarkAngel!
I played around with the stylesheet_dotline.css - changing the padding and widths but neither changed the space in between the rows. But it's okay - I can live with the way it is. Thanks!
Are you saying, I can create a new delim_v.gif image to change the dotted lines to solid and light gray? When I open the gif image so that I can copy it's format, I don't see any image on it, except for a tiny black box. So I'm not sure how I need to design the new image. Can anyone advise on this?
Thank you!
Can anyone help me with this?
How do I change the dotted lines to solid (different color too if possible) and decrease the space in between each row. I've searched all over the forum and haven't found the answer.
Thank you for any help!!
http://lunapetuniadesigns.com/index....=index&cPath=1
sorry for not coming in sooner but have had forum problems that host had to fix...lol
and this heat is hard on my comps, they just go and shutdown on me, right in the middle of stuff.
Yes go into photoshop and create another gif the same size as the ones in the mod pkg. then upload them to your server after you put a ~ at the end of the originals...
so it looks like delim_v.gif~...same for its brother file too cause you will need to create them for both verticle and horizontal
as for the spaces I meant the stylesheet.css from your template. try there to adjust the space. I can't remember for sure but (may vary from template to template, especially bought and paid for ones) but this code is where I changed mine to add space cause mine were really close before the mod addition:
find and delete:
.productListing-data
add directly under that section where you found it:
.productListing-data
/* to add space between thumbnails*/
{
padding: 0.5em;
}
I think it will be found in this area:
.centeredContent, TH, #cartEmptyText, #cartBoxGVButton,
#cartBoxEmpty, #cartBoxVoucherBalance, #navCatTabsWrapper,
#navEZPageNextPrev, #bannerOne, #bannerTwo,
#bannerThree, #bannerFour, #bannerFive, #bannerSix,
#siteinfoLegal,
#siteinfoCredits, #siteinfoStatus, #siteinfoIP, .center,
.cartRemoveItemDisplay,
.cartQuantityUpdate, .cartQuantity, .cartTotalsDisplay,
#cartBoxGVBalance,
.leftBoxHeading, .rightBoxHeading, .accountQuantityDisplay,
.ratingRow, LABEL#textAreaReviews, #productMainImage,
#reviewsInfoDefaultProductImage,
#productReviewsDefaultProductImage, #reviewWriteMainImage,
.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents,
.additionalImages, .centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch,
.centerBoxContentsFeatured, .centerBoxContentsNew, .gvBal, .attribImg {
text-align: center;
}
Thank you again, DarkAngel. I really appreciate your time and help!!
I tried what you suggested but it didn't work for me.
I ended up commenting out the divider lines in the tpl_columnar_display.php so that the lines disappeared and just added a solid border around the images through the CSS Stylesheet.
.listingProductImage {
padding: 10px;
border: 1px solid #e6e6e7;
margin: 10px;
}
I did not remove the entire Divider Pro Add-on because without it the space between the columns were too close - so the Add-on keeps a nice margin/padding around the column/rows.
I'm happy now - thanks very much!
sorry it did not work
in the margin area of that coding...some places you see margin: 0px
have you tried with margin 0px 0px 0px 0px;
then just trying one number at a time in the slots? when all 4 are listed it is for top, bottom, left and right but I can never remember which one is for which section.
I don't have the divider lines in mine and mine are kind of close together too
I have just added this contrib and the divider lines seem to show up everywhere except for the product listing area. I compared my product_listing.php file to the one with the contrib and the only unique line of code I see is.
// Used for Column Divider Pro add on
$col_width_div = floor(100);
I've added this into my existing module/custom/product_listing.php file (that i believe was added in from the column grid contrib). It was/is working fine just that the Column Divider Pro does not show the gridlines in the aforementioned location. Also all other files were copied to their respective places.
Any thoughts?
sorry, my last post didn't include my signature which details my cart.

Hi
I really like this mod and have changed the dotted lines to solid light grey. Which works fine.
I do not want these lines to show up on the category listing page. How do I tell it to show up everywhere but there?
R
Not working: http://www.thehorsestall.com.au/stor...sort=3d&page=2
Working: http://www.thehorsestall.com.au/stor...&cPath=167_172
I had set the listing to fit on one page for a temporary fix but I have set it back for you to see what happens.
Also do you know a way to get rid of the divider lines on the category listing page?
I do think that is because of the settings...it is set for 3 columns and yes they are spread apart because there are only 2 showing items.
in product listing have you tried setting it to show 4 columns...to see if that may bring them a bit closer together?
the client I have has his set for 4 columns but he also has a lot of products in the categories.
I was afraid of that -- maybe someone else with more code knowledge will chime in cause it is just compensating the space due to not having 3 items to show.
it might be something that can be fixed in the files but it might not at all..
maybe changing the size in IH for the images may help it not look awkward but that is all I can say, sorry
Oh well!
What about my other problem: getting rid of the lines in the caterory listing only?
I am trying to get my product display to look like this:
http://osc3.template-help.com/zencar...ain_page=index
I like the solid border around the product with the different background inside the border.
I installed Column Layout Grid for Product Listing and I really don't see what it is supposed to do. There is already a setting for how many products per row. I'm not seeing the difference between rows and column display settings. I've been through the threads and I must be missing something.
I also installed the column divider pro. Still no change.
The delim_v.gif image looks like a background, not dotted lines. For some reason, I can't view it from bluehost's file manager, but I can view it from the downloaded package.
Here is the link to my site.
http://www.groupiegear.com/kstore201...ain_page=index
What I am doing is trying to create a template to use with an existing site, so that's why the products are still the demo products.
Thanks in advance.
(I created a thread a few days ago about this problem, but this seems to be a better place for this issue)
you missed the step to go into admin>>product listing>>product listing-layout style>>and set it to columns
then set product listing-layout style to 4 so they will show 4 images across
as for the border around each one like the first link....I think that is set that way from that persons own template...created that way so not sure how to do that.
I have the mod installed works good except i have about 3 pages to show featured products but it wont allow me to go any further like now it shows 9 products and not 12 and even if i place 12 products on it still shows 2 missing products do i need to modify template or what?
Thanks
Jim:cry:
yup i raised or upped the amount
well I may be wrong but I don't think that has anything to do with the mod. It is to put the items into rows with the dividers vs the column listing it normally does.
This sounds like something in the main zencart files.
maybe posting a link to the featured listing page may help you get better help cause setting the number to 12 should get you 4 acorss then 3 down.
Good day to everyone if this thread is still monitored.
I installed it after the Column Layout Grid mod and made some small changes to achieve what I wanted. It all works as expected except for two minor issues which somebody might guide me to solving and have my bless. The changes I made are as below (amendments in red, additions in blue):
1) Changed the 4x4 delim_v.gif to a 1x1 grey dot.
2) Changed the includes/templates/my_template/css/stylesheet_dotline.css from
Code:.vDotLine
{
background-color: transparent;
background-image: url(../images/delim_v.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-y;
background-attachment: scroll;
width: 20px;
font-size: 1px;
}
.hDotLine
{
background-image: url(../images/delim_v.gif);
padding:1px 0;
}
to
Code:.vDotLine
{
background-color: transparent;
background-image: url(../images/delim_v.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-y;
background-attachment: scroll;
width: 20px;
padding:1px 1px 0px 0px!important;
font-size: 1px;
}
.hDotLine
{
background-image: url(../images/delim_v.gif);
padding:0px 0px 1px 1px;
}
3) Changed two lines in the includes/templates/my_template/common/tpl_columnar_display.php from
toCode:....
....
<table width="100%" align="center" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="15" border="0">
....
....
echo '<td width="'. (intval($col_width) - 0.5) .'%" align="center" valign="top"><div' . $r_params
. '>' . $list_box_contents[$row][$col]['text'] . '</div></td>' . "\n";
....
....
Code:....
....
<table width="100%" align="center" cellpadding="8" cellspacing="0" border="0">
....
....
echo '<td width="'. (intval($col_width) + 0.5) .'%" align="center" valign="top"><div' . $r_params
. '>' . $list_box_contents[$row][$col]['text'] . '</div></td>' . "\n";
....
....
Now, the two issues I'm asking help on are:
1) The above amendments have changed the dotted lines to solid thin grey lines which form "boxes". That's exactly what I needed and it appears perfectly in Chrome. However, there is a very small gap on the left of each horizontal line in Firefox and IE. I have played around with the -0.5 value of the php file. If I leave it at -0.5 the gap is a lot more wide. If I change it to +1.0 the gap disappears but then the last column is narrower than the other two by about 15px. The +0.5 is the closest I can get to having equal column widths and a 4px gap.
2) The second issue is not related to this mod but somebody might be able to help. I just want the Buy Now buttons to be aligned at the bottom of each box but can't find a way to achieve this. It could be a simple css line or not.
Any help will be appreciated. Wishes for a nice Sunday and kind regards from Athens.
How did you manage to have the add to cart button in the main page in categories? I've tried everything that I've read in this foroum. If you could please help me. My demo site is http://www.koufetakia.gr/eshop/index...dex&cPath=3_10
I'm not very sure what you are referring to. The link of your demo site does look identical to my http://www.athenscollectibles.info/i...dex&cPath=3_36 page, except that it also lists Featured New Products etc. The same applies to your home page compared to mine.Quote:

I may be able to help if you are a little more specific. Καλό απόγευμα και καλές γιορτές.
I got my answer in another topic.

Hi sorry i can't help with your issue. But is there any chance you can please tell me how you managed to get your products to display in rows rather than columns on your specials page located here:
http://www.groupiegear.com/kstore201..._page=specials
As I am trying to get my specials page to display like all the other pages that display products in rows rather than in columns.
Thanks.
Hi and thanks for getting back to me. Sorry for the late reply as I wasn't notified of your reply for some reason.
Anyway I installed the mod but it just creates dotted columns on my specials page and some others.
I also could not find any settings in my admin panel to change this.
Are you sure this is the mod you are using to make your specials pages display in rows rather than columns or is it another mod you have installed?
Thanks again for replying and your help much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Erica
Never mind I sorted it out by installing the Single Listing Template mod although I made changes to the mod to suit my needs as I only wanted my specials page to be changed.
Thanks.
yes I do and you can remove the dotted line by probably commenting out in the css file that came with it...maybe.
I also have another mod called column layout grid plus single listing template edit or three_columns_grid_for_new_and_all_products_pages_0-1 Folder if I remember right...been that long since I installed them the final one was because I wanted not just the ones for column divider pro but also the new, featured to be in rows not columns
I also have different ones installed in my sore and the others I handle. I think I have in my personal store the column layout grid and three_columns_grid_for_new_and_all_products_pages_0-1 Folder and single listing template---the first ones for sure
you could try those last three after removing the divider pro one to see
sorry
You are told in the read me to go to admin/configuration/Product Listing - Layout Style and set it to columns...even if it is already that way go ahead and uncheck then recheck it to set it.
***edi to previous post***
seems I did not edit in time
after reading my own response I may be mixing them all up into one readme, please take a look at the last 2 I wrote and see if those will work as you want them to, My store has them set this way into columns and not rows.
Hi all, first time with Zen Cart and I have to say I have never done so much reading to try and figure things out as I have with this.
I have tried to find the solution to my issue throughout these forums, but I have not succeeded.
So continuing with this topic of CDP. I installed it and it seems to be fine except for 1 thing. For some reason it is pushing my right side bar outside of the border.
You can see here what I mean.
http://babiesbigandtall.com/shop/ind...ex&cPath=48_50
Actually if you go to the home page, I have the same issue with the banner.
For some reason I am not sure how I can bring the center column a little more narrow, if that will help I am not sure either.
I am using version 1.5. This wasn't an upgrade, I just started to use it.
Please help :cry:
It is the border within the border that is causing the problem on most pages.
If you delete the code below from the Stylesheet it fixes it:
I think the banner is effecting the homepage as well. Someone with more template/code experience may be able to help you more.Code:{
.centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .centerBoxContentsFeatured, .centerBoxContentsNew, .specialsListBoxContents {
border-bottom: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
border-right: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
height: 186px;
margin: 0 !important;
padding: 18px 18px 12px;
width: 150px !important;
}
You are a genius. That was exactly the problem for the side bar.
Although the banner didn't change on the home page. I am happy at least one problem resolved.
Thanks a bunch :D
Hi Is this contribution going to be upgraded to 1.5 as this is exactly what I need ...I have been told it might not be compatible
thanks
Hello,
Just installed column divider pro in my new ZC. I am also using Dr. Byte's layout grid mod. (I enabled the products layout php as it was instructed)
Two issues that I can not solve:
1. The vertical line is not in the center. (I looked in the firebug and it seems like the line has a 15px right margin, but I can not figure why. It is not in the css).
2. In the new products, featured.... there is a huge space above and under each product.
Anyone has a solution? Please see at www.impex12.com
Thank you,
Peter
I just took a look at your store and it looks centered in all aspects on each page. Have you tried making the promo a bit larger. That is the way, I believe, that this mod works....the extra space around....to make the store look nice, which by the way your store looks wonderful.
Thank you for your reply and comment. I will look my site on a different computer, but I am actually seeing the same on my phone. The only detail bothers me is that the left side of the horizontal line has a larger space between the end of the line and the vertical line than the right side.
Do you see the same on your screen?
this is weird, unless you increased the size of the promos...I assume this is 1.5 store, not sure which template but probably template monster???
that could be the trouble too because
as i said I had just gone in to view the store using both google chrome and Firefox (both latest versions), your store looked perfect no distortions.
NOW although it is off on the right side, see images of compared one that looked like yours did a few ago and yours now
Well, thanks for checking. I played with the image dimensions a bit, but I do not see it centered in any of the browsers as you saw and took the screenshot. I guess I will need to live with it.
not knowing for sure if it is the template...this code is from a few posts earlier that you can try to do---remember to work off a duplicate of the stylesheet
in the stylesheet delete the following and see if that helps
Code:{
.centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .centerBoxContentsFeatured, .centerBoxContentsNew, .specialsListBoxContents {
border-bottom: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
border-right: 1px solid #EEEEEE;
height: 186px;
margin: 0 !important;
padding: 18px 18px 12px;
width: 150px !important;
}
I have that already out. :no:
Hi, is this module on the plugin page still compatible with the latest zen cart v1.5.1?
Hi,
I don't know if it's officially marked as compatible but it works fine on my site after upgrading to 1.5.1
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Need help with an issue.. I've run into an issue with the tables used to create the grids in this file includes/templates/custom_template/common/tpl_columnar_display.php
I need to convert the tables to a CSS grid. The tables are a bit of a bear to deal with in responsive templates..
I've made some progress, but I'm not quite there yet.. I have incorporated the Column Divider Pro module with SNAF, and the dividers are not behaving EXACTLY as they should with the CSS tables and I'm puzzled how to fix it.. The horizontal divider is repeated 4 times, and I cannot get the vertical dividers to work JUST in between the inner cells.. (I am aware that my current edit only displays them on the left -- I commented out the code which is supposed to display it between cells because it didn't work) You can see my progress here:
http://eitestsite(dot)eyeitalia(dot)com/shop/index.php?main_page=products_all
Could use a set of eyes to point out how to get this working correctly..
Here's my modified includes/templates/custom_template/common/tpl_columnar_display.php file and the CSS to support my changes:
