Did you install all the templates included in latest
wordpress mod zip file?
Hi Misty
Sorry for no reply until now (I've had malaria but I'm ok now...)
Well I thought I had put all the files (I assume you are referring to WP_ROOT files) but I've uploaded again just in case.
I'll have a look again today and see how I get on.
Thanks,
Jim.
Ok, well I have kind of got it sorted now.
The styling for the blog threads that are shown on the home page...
http://africanartandmasks.com/
is performed in includes/templates/custom_template/css/stylesheet.css
and to get rid of the divider (although this will impact across the whole, site so suggestions are still welcome!) remove border-bottom: 1px solid #9a9a9a; from
Code:HR {
height: 1px;
margin-top: 0.5em;
border: none;
border-bottom: 1px solid #9a9a9a;
}
In wordpress mod for zencart, there is stylesheet_woz.css included,Quote:
is performed in includes/templates/custom_template/css/stylesheet.css
which should be added to your zencart current template's css folder.
Hi
Where does one control the amount of each blog thread that will appear as a summary?
What I really mean is that after, for example, using
to get the blog to appear on the web site's homepage (or where ever) how do you then get this to be a summary or the first few lines of each thread, rather than the entire thread?Code:<?php
require('wp-blog-header.php');
?><?php
$posts = get_posts('numberposts=3'); // change to whatever number of posts to show
foreach($posts as $post) :
setup_postdata($post);
?>
<h2><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>
<?php the_date(); ?>
<?php the_content(); ?><hr />
<?php endforeach; ?>
Thanks.

i.e.
Quote:
If you include the Quicktag button called more, and shown as <!--more-->, in the body of your post, only the portion above that line will be displayed to viewers. So, if you only want your front page to show the first sentence or two of every post, simply insert <!--more--> after the first line into every post you make.
Thank you for that misty... (I'd gone through every possible nook and crany in admin and had become not a little confused as to why I could not find it!)
hi there seem to be having a problem having with this install everything seems to look like it should work, but i can't seem to find the wordpress admin section.
had zencart 1.3.7 working fine
1. installed wordpress in the zencart directory /gorillagear.ca/store (but separate databases)
2. was able to play with it and go to the admin section in www.gorillagear.ca/blog/wp-admin/ then i changed the config file
3. added the root files to both zencart and wordpress
4. modified that one file in zencart to integrate the 2 programs and that is it
i don't know how to find the admin section so i can start working on this any thing i missed
got it all working now http://gorillagear.ca/index.php?main_page=wordpress this is awesome
im going round and round with this one- ive done the install, using the lastet version of ZC and WP- BlogSidebar is showing up on my sideboxes in Apple Zen, however the link is a dead end. i keep getting this message.
file not found /var/www/vhost/example.com/wp-config.php
What is the hook here?
Ive gone into the wp-config file and cant seem to figure this one out.
If anyone can help i would greatly app at this time, banging my head against the wall:frusty: thanks guys..
