Hello
I've installed the mod, but can't get it working
I want a discount of 5 (currency) per item if the number of items on cart are 2 or above. I think I've set this in mod conf ... But nothing changes in my cart.
Already read the documentation and search this forum, sorry.
You know this is an order total module and the discount isn't visible until the second page of checkout, right?
with this mod or with big spender is there a way to disable coupon discounts used in conjunction with the qty discounts? And if it is possible Would it be possible to disable them only at a certain level? like levels 1-3 can have a coupon but say level 4 and 5 are wholesale pricing so no coupons should work?
This would all be custom software; nothing like this is built in.
Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else.
I've just installed this addon (great mod btw) and my order totals are slightly incorrect. For example, discounts set as follows:
10 items = 10% discount
20 items = 20% discount
30 items = 30% discount
So, for 10 items at £30 my checkout is showing:
Sub-Total: £300.00
Shipping £6.00
Quantity Discount:-£30.00
Included VAT @ 17.5%:£40.32
Total:£270.75
The total should be 300-30+6=£276 but is showing at significantly less.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. There are no other order total modules installed which should affect this.
Try modifying the tax setings in admin->modules->order totals->quantity discounts.
Genius! I feel rather stupid for not trying that in the first place!
I changed 'Re-calculate Tax' from 'Standard' to 'None' and problem is solved.
Brilliant addon, and greatly appreciate you taking the time to follow up and stay active on the support thread.
Thanks.
I am using the quantity discount contribution to apply discounts to my products based on the total quantity of items purchased. (i.e. currency per item/total items in cart.) And I am also using the Discount Preview Module.
I am setting up my store and at the moment only have the Zone Rate Shipping Module activated. I have set up 3 Zones. One for US, one for Canada, and one for the rest. The zones are set to calculate different shipping rates based solely on the price of the order.
Zone 1 shows: 19.99:2.50,10000:0.00
Zone 2 shows: 24.99:3.00,10000:0.00
Zone 3 shows: 13.50:4.00, 24.00:5.00, 37.50:7.00, 45:9.00, 70:11.00,99.99:12.00,10000:0.00
What happens is that the shipping cost is being calculated as if there was no discount.
For example, if the total cost before the discount for a UK customer is $30...but after the discount the total cost is $23, the customer is being charge $7.00 shipping instead of $5 shipping.
Is there a way to correct this?
These modules are unaware of each other; the shipping module would have to be modified to know about Quantity Discounts for it to work this way.
