Re: HOW-TO: Image Preparation
Hi all, I just have to say that it is amazing how this Zen Cart community is so helpful, I really appreciate it.
My issue is in regards to the Product imagLayout. ( I hope I'm in the right forum)
Here is a link to my issue. I'm using version 1.5.

My problem is 2-fold: Firstly I would really like to have my add to cart (and applicable discounts) to be just to the right and in line with the attributes. The idea is that everything is compact with the least amount of scrolling. Also a customer must choose from the attributes in order to have an accurate price for their product.
And secondly, I would love if the image with the weight/height scale ( please ignore the quality, it's a test) could squeeze between the product image and additional images. I don't really want it to be a part of the product image itself.
Thanks so much for any one who can help this new zenner.
Re: HOW-TO: Image Preparation
Love the idea of clothes for larger babies... Great!
However... I think you are missing a trick here.
IMAGES are the single most important aspect of product descriptions and they should be nice and BIG so all the detail can be seen - or at least use a good HOVER feature to magnify the thumbnail.
Kill your right column on the product_info page. It's not necessary, and just adds to the clutter. (SEE: tpl_main_page.php for right-column disable on specific pages).
When you have gotten rid of the rt column, and made your images BIG so they can be seen, then re-visit other layout options.
I always plan my layouts around IMAGES FIRST...

Hi Icecube
Another example here for you, all in css styling and rerouting the tpl_product_info_display.php layout
Re: HOW-TO: Image Preparation
Thank you both very much. I managed to work out the add to cart with your advice.
The only thing left that I can't figure out is how to sharpen my weight/height scale image without having it stretch all the way across the screen and overextend past the right border. When I enlarge it in illustrator I get the correct sharpneess, but that's what it does. Is there a way to constrain the size of the image despite its size in illustrator?

Here is a page where the images are sharp but constrained (what I want to do)

Thank again

Wrong topic.. You should post this in the site reviews topic..
Re: HOW-TO: Image Preparation
I did not see my problem, I need to update my image in my storefront, when I go to my admin and edit a category then go to image upload jpeg the preview nothing happens. I have uploaded many images successfully before, why is this happening.

Probably because the real purpose of this post is to discuss image preparation and Zen Cart.. It's a lot less about the image functionality and a lot more about how to prep your images before uploading..
That all said, I would suggest starting a new thread for this post as it's not likely to be seen here..
Re: HOW-TO: Image Preparation
Hello,
I need help with additional images I have added for a product. When I click on larger image for any additional image, it is opening the main image in the pop-up. Where should I make the change so that pop-up will open the additional image and not the main image.
Please have a look on the following page -
