I've tried to install image handler several times...gone back over it, making sure I got everything installed but still can't get it to work. My medium images don't want to show up when I have it installed, so I have no product photo on the product page, and the image doesn't pop up on the small images.
Would anyone happen to know what I might be doing wrong? I don't have it installed right now, because of the problem, and am not even for sure I NEED it, just liked that pop up thing, and thought if it helps speed up my site, thats always a good thing too. Any help you may be able to give me would be really appriciated!

Sorry!! Didn't think you would need it, if image handler isn't turned on, but should have posted it anyway.
Thats where they are, I didn't know which folder to put them in when I uploaded them, so thats where I put them. I didn't have ih installed when I uploaded the images. I take it I should have huh? LOL Or at least put the images in a different folder? Is it possible to move them, and have them still link up or am I going to have to totally start over on my product, if I want to use IH? I'm so new at this website stuff, I'm still driving blind for the most part. I've been surprised that I've gotten as far as I have. :)
Thanks for your help, and hopefully you have some advice as to how to move them to where ih can use them. LOL
If you want to use IH then you need to move or re-upload your images.
You will need to relink the images if you move them.Code:http://dapperdoxie.com/shop/images/
If it was me I would use Image Handler Manager.
Admin--> Tools --> Image Handler 2
Select the Category, Select the product, click "Add" or "New".
Default Image File click Browse and select the the image you want (the largest image file you want display, IH will create the small & medium image for you from this file).
Try this on a couple of products first to see everything goes good.
Repeat.
M
Ohhhhh the light bulb comes on!! Thanks so much! I got it to work on everything except the catagory that has subcatagories. I got the following error on that one.
Error!
Unable to determine the page link!
Function used:
zen_href_link('', '', 'NONSSL')
I don't have time to try to fight that right now, so will have to do it later, but if you have any idea why that may be happening, so I don't have to pull the rest of my hair out, I would sure appriciate it!
Thanks so much for your help, I've been stewing over this for days now, so to finally (mostly) have it working is great!! Maybe I'll be able to move on to the next thing on my list soon. LOL
Bless you!!
have this image handler downloaded http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=117 http://www.zen-cart.com/pub/.jbccbog...0_for_137.zip)
am sure uploaded all files to the right directories and make the correct image names.
but no additional images shows up on product page.
by the way, it works well on the small zoom and watermark, images are used from the bmz_cache.
all of thoes files of that image handler are correct? or the problem isnt due to those files which should be uploaded? if so, which other file might be wrong?
Well I got up this morning and had to come play with image handler again, I put a couple more images onto a couple more products, which is cool. However when I try to change the image or even add another one to the quick page category I'm still getting the error I got last night, and can't figure out how to get rid of it, or change the image so I have it going through image handler, and so it shows up on the product page. Does anyone have any ideas for me? This is the error I'm getting, when I try to add a image to one of the quick page products...which is a subcategory.
Error!
Unable to determine the page link!
Function used:
zen_href_link('', '', 'NONSSL')
Any help anyone can give me would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks so much for your help, I finally got it to work. Not sure what was going on, but there weren't any spaces in the file names, so what I finally did, was just go in and delete all the images out of the large file, and then it would let me add new ones. I love how easy it makes it to add more images to a product too! I'm so glad I finally got it to working, I had given up more than once, but kept wanting it, so am very thankful for your help!! :)
file directories and names :
/images/yea/mb06.jpg
/images/yea/mb06_01.jpg
/images/yea/mb06_02.jpg
/images/yea/mb06_03.jpg
/images/medium/yea/mb06_MED.jpg
/images/medium/yea/mb06_01_MED.jpg
/images/medium/yea/mb06_02_MED.jpg
/images/medium/yea/mb06_03_MED.jpg

/images/large/yea/mb06_01_LRG.jpg
/images/large/yea/mb06_02_LRG.jpg
/images/large/yea/mb06_03_LRG.jpg
Putting images in the large/medium folders turns off IH for those images.
With IH you only need to upload "1" image (the largest image you want display). IH will create the small and medium image from this file.
I would start on 1 product, delete all images for that product then use IH to upload new image (see about 10 post back how to do this). You can also add additional images the same way for a product. The cool thing doing it this way IH will auto rename additional image in the correct format.
M
i creat a new product, and transfer the image test.jpg from admin IH, then i transfer another test.jpg, IH auto rename it to test_01.jpg, but it still not showing up on product page.
i have had a test, here is the picture of the product page to explain,
it means the additional images are right here, just we can't see them !
and i view the source of the product page, it shows the right directories of the additional images, for example images test_01.jpg auto rename to a name with the long numbers from the bmz_cache folder, and see the link to large images, it seems everything's right.
but those additional images still not showing up on the product page, its very strange, they are just like transparent !
i tried to clear the image cache by admin, but no luck.
Hello all, We are trying to give our images friendly names. However for example, when we name an image necklace.jpg on the file system, zen cart renames the image. I noticed this by surfing to the web page that has the necklace image and viewing source. Zen Cart renames the image to something like: It is renaming it as GUID. http://www.spendyourhusbandsmoney.co...ge.124x120.jpg
Is there a way to maintain a friendly name for each of our images?
We already posted this question in the general questions and based from the response we got (appreciate it a lot, glenn!) that it is because of the image handler 2. Without IH2, there is no impediment of naming our images exactly as we want. Is that really true? Any solution on that you all might know or suggestion how to fix it? (we don't want to take out the IH2 from our site though)
Thanks,
Joy Crossley
http://spendyourhusbandsmoney.com
Not possible with Image Handler. It needs to ensure that every image is uniquely named and so generates names using an algorithm designed to prevent rather than sound pretty.
To name the images how you want you would need to dispense with Image Handler and take the responsility for avoiding name clashes yourself (or re-write Image Handler with different priorities). The only restriction would be the length of the image name including any preceeding path names (32 characters I believe - though you can increase it by changing the database table schema).
Hi Kuroi,
Another question, what all we lose by taking the image handler out of play. If we remove IH2, our only concern is making sure each of our images is uniquely named?
Thanks!

New user and new install at www.sofiesbest.com.
So far this is a GREAT tool. I'll be sending you something via PayPal after I get some sales registered.
Thank you very much for the work on this.

finally i find that IH2 works on my default language english site, but it doesnt work on the other language sites, i dont know which file i should fix and what do i make it work on all language sites? thanks
I think my eyes are glazing over all my searches, so I apologize if it's been asked before (which it probably has... >.<).
My problem is, I want the mouse-over effect on only images in the product listing and product info pages.
When enabled on small images it does it for icons for categories too, and I've tried disabling it for small images, and leaving it enabled for medium images, but then it doesn't work mouse-over zoom on anything!
Thanks for your help. <3
Mouseover was never enable for the product display page (medium sized images) as it uses the same image for both (mouse over effect).
Do a search for my user name is this thread. I list what image placements uses IH based upon what the small image size.
You can control this by image size you set in Admin--> Images.
What you need to do is change the categories image size so it's not the same size as the small image, Admin--> Images.
I'm getting this error on the admin interface of image handler
anyone know why?Code:Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: gd-png: fatal libpng error: zlib error in E:\wamp\www\sepi\includes\classes\bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 646
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: gd-png error: setjmp returns error condition in E:\wamp\www\sepi\includes\classes\bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 646
IH2 seems to be working well for us on 1.3.8a, with one exception.
When we click "View Larger Image" on the product detail page, it shows the original large image and not a resized version.
Our preferences are set to:
IH resize images: Yes
IH large image maximum width: 450
IH large image maximum height: 450
We are still seeing the original, unrenamed images at the original size (ex. 1000 px x 1000 px).
Is this the correct behavior, is it a 1.3.8a issue, or did we miss a setting?
in my IH2 php files, i found some files only with the beginning <?php but without the close ?> is it ok? or do i have to add those missing ?>
I just installed IH2, but I had to account for a number of personal modifications, and what appeared to be ZC changes since the version of IH2 was developed.
Perhaps a result (though I'm not entirely clear), I have two issues.
The first issue is the more odd, and may be caused by my working around mods. The site does not do popups even with the config for it enabled. I'm looking at the thumbnail to medium popups that (as I understand it) are supposed to popup when you mouseover a thumbnail [for example, in a category listing].
I'm unclear from picking through the included files where the actual implimentation for that comes from. I don't see any file included that modifies the html around thumbnails, so I'm not sure what I may have missed including. I mainly didn't copy over the 'modules' files (those were the main overwrites), because I didn't see anything in there that related to thumbnails - it all seemed to related to the medium to large popups.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
----
The second, and far less important, SHOULDN'T be caused by any selective installation: I installed the admin-side files as-is, as there were no real over-writes (other than the category_product_listing.php file, which I modded in the single change).
I was unable to use IH2 to delete an existing image that existed prior to the installation. I don't know if this is a bug or a problem with my installation; when I deleted the file by FTP from the images directory, the IH2 page showed 'no images', but once I uploaded a new copy of said image, IH2 showed 2 images for the product (one with the old filename). It was a weird situation; I can deal manually with the old images, I just don't want IH2 to mess up my existing stuff with extra images or anything.
I'm using Zen Cart v1.3.8a on this site:
http://www.canepress.org/store/
I installed Image Handler 2 and it is resizing images for the main image on the product pages, but the additional images don't show up and a couple of pages in the Zen Cart Admin area won't display, either.
When I go to Admin > Tools > ImageHandler2 and click, a totally blank page comes up. Also, when I go to Admin > Catalog > Categories/Products and select a product I can see the ImageHandler icon on the product listing but when I click on it I get another blank page.
I'm pretty sure that when I first installed Image Handler 2 these things showed up initially, but then after logging off and back on again they didn't work anymore.
I'd really appreciate your suggestions on fixing this problem. If there is another thread that deals with this problem that I missed when searching the forums please point me in that direction.
Thanks!
It's ok. This actually is to thwart the "possibility" of the dreadful white screen error.
I wouldn't worry to much about it.
1. tpl_modules_main_product_image.php
2. Check the permissions of the appropriate files. Make sure your image names for different products aren't similar, as Zen uses prefixes to search your images folder for additional images. Clear your image cache from the admin or by manually deleting the sub-directories of bmz_cache.
This is usually attributed to a few blank lines following the closing ?>. Remove the empty lines, or remove the closing PHP comment completely.
This is what'd you'd remove "?>"
Thank you, testuser and tophand!
I installed Image Handler and everything seemed to work fine. I was able to load the Image Handler 2 from the Admin Tools menu and it installed fine.
However, when I go to my store, the page is blank!!
Any ideas what is wrong? I found this information in the Image Handler support thread: If you have modified any of the files located in this contribution’s includes/templates/template_custom folder, you need to merge these files (popup_image_additional/tpl_main_page.php in particular) with those of your custom template. Do I need to do this? How do I do it?
Help!! Here is the link to the store: http://twistjewelrydesign.com/shoppingcart/
Thanks,
Cindy
So you made edits to IH files before uploading?
What program did you use to edit the files?
You want to look at this.
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82
For merging files you need a file compare program like WinMerge.
Do search (Zen Cart Forum) for file merge.
M
Tophand,
No, I didn't make changes to the image handler files before loading. However, I am using a custom template. I thought that's what the "merge" was referring to. But I guess not. I believe I loaded the appropriate files to "my template" folder.
I'm going to try to run the debug and report back.
Thanks,
cindy
O.K. I downloaded the Debug Error Utility and installed it exactly as instructed. (I also made sure that the Cache folder was set to write) and I don't see an error log.
I go to the cache folder and there is no myDEBUG-xxxx.log. Where do I find this?
Thanks,
I don't get it....I want the small images undder product info for instance width=80 and height= 140, when a mouse over must the images of course bigger for example width=180 and height=240
That is what image handler must make the shop nice. Vut that doesn't work, why would i have the mouse over images the same size as the are?
Hi guys,
Is it possible to set up IH2 to use original source images that are uploaded to a directory above the web root? i.e. "off web" I have access to this area on my web server.
What I would ideally like to be able to do is use IH2 to add the product images by selecting them from a folder that is situated above public_html. I would then like to watermark the product images that appear in Zencart.
Has anybody had any luck in setting it up like this?
Thanks.
I moved zen cart from subfolder to root.
Now I get error when zen cart trying to display the category products as list of images.
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: gd-png: fatal libpng error: zlib error in /home/...public_html/includes/classes/bmz_image_handler.class.php on line 646
error is in following code
$ok = imagepng($image, $dest_name, $quality);
Some reason some images does appear good but some it displays the error on.
I do have images uploaded in /images/ folder even images that gives error.
Yes I clear cache.
I also did following.
1. Cleared image cache
2. Removed IH from database
3. Installed IH back to database
After removing IH I get no error but after reinstalling same error appear. So the issues must be IH.
After installing bach IH same problems accure.
I even reuploaded the IH files.
Seems like for some reason the IH creates corrupted cache image files.
Where can I find the function that creates them, so I can debug?
Have you check your image files to see they are not corrupt?
What size are the images you are uploading?
IH doesn't create the image file, the server side software GD libraries or ImageMagick does.
Large image files can choke GD libraries or ImageMagick (sever times out) which will create corrupt files.
JPG and jpg can not be mixed.
Check your settings under Images.
M
Hi ,
I have installed Image handler and the installation all went fine.
But its not showing up in the page.In spite a small +sign is showing near the images. When i mouse over the images the following errors show up:
Fire bug is giving me this error:
showtrail is not defined
onmouseover(mouseover clientX=0, clientY=0)
hidetrail is not defined
onmouseout(mouseout clientX=0, clientY=0)
Here is the link:

Please hep is urgent:mellow:
You have not uploaded following
Code:<script type="text/javascript" src="includes/templates/template_default/jscript/jscript_imagehover.js"></script>
Thanks. I forgot to upload:hug:
Thank you for replying. I did get the thing sorted out.
Well one thing I did find out that, yes you where right there where corrupted image files in /images folder.
I fixed the images first on my testing server. I made backups on remote sites 2 config files. I emptied the remote server and there after uploaded the hole site from test server to remote. Then I restored the config files.
That did the trick.
I did the testing on test server as that is windows based.
It was easyer that way cause did not have to bother on file/directory rights and the corrupted images where easy to see.
To identied corrupted files was simple.
In file explored I changed file view to thumpnail and all images that wid not display thumpnail image, but only the image icon was corrupted. Other identification method was also to check all image files sizes that where 1 kb.

Anybody shed some light for me on post 2946?
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...postcount=2946
I don't get how I'm supposed to have edited a file that wasn't included in the package.
I seem to have partially solved my own issue. I thought to check the thing in Mozilla, and low and behold, I get the popups. But not in IE6 that I primarily use. When I mouseover in IE, I get "error: PageY is null or not an object". It cites a line and character, but it in the overall code of the displayed page, it ends up being a blank line. Note: this error regresses to the point where IE has an infinite number of them (the previous button is always available for a loooot of clicks) or a massive number. I'm not sure what this error means, other than pageY being a variable in the included javascript.
There is, in addition a second implimentation issue as well. I use tpl_columnar_display.php in display of categories and many boxes (I forget whether this is standard on zencart or I modified it.) I DID get popups (zoom) to work in Mozilla, as mentioned; HOWEVER, the only place it works is in my xsell box (cross-sell plugin mod which adds "related products" on the product_info page). I'm stumped as to why this is. Looking through image_handler's code, I see that it all regresses down to the handle_image function which is called from within the zen_image function. Well, both my product_listing.php module and my xsell module call the zen_image function identically, but only the xsell ends up outputting the popup code (an onmouseover code). Neither my category listings nor the "new" or "featured" products on the main page output the mouseover code and I have no idea why.
It's 4am and I'm stumped, so hopefully someone else who knows IH better has some thoughts on what I'm missing. Cheers
If you have edited any Zen Cart files and have them in your overrides folders and if the same named files are in the Image Handler package them you need to merge the files together.
You need to upload "All" (not the shopad folder, it's not needed) of the IH files.
Possible IH files that might need to merge with your edited files:
includes/modules/additional_images.php
includes/modules/main_product_images.php
includes/modules/pages/popup_image/header_php.php
includes/modules/pages/popup_image_additional/header_php.php
includes/templates/template_custom/pop_image_additional/tpl_main_page.php

Hi
I have both IH2 and Swap Image on Mouseover mods installed
as expected they re not compatible, all additional images on the product info page do not show up
actually I just want the image resize function of IH2. How can I stop the mouseover function of IH2?
my second question is, how to make the additional images appear again?
really need help here!
thanks in advance!
Please help. I uploaded this add-on and installed it. Although the install was successful, my images on the product pages then disappeared.
So, I uninstalled the module and my product pictures reappeared. The only problem was that all of my product pictures were now fuzzy/unfocused. So, is there a way to fix my pictures to make them clear again? Or, if I was to reinstall IH2 what do I need to do to get my product pictures back.
In order to show you what I mean I have reinstalled it and here is a link to one of my products - as you can see the picture is absent. The pictures however are now clear and focused again.
http://www.oddsnsods.com.au/index.ph...roducts_id=289
Thanks.
a little update
I have stopped the zoom function at the admin, now the additional images show up again! but the swap image function is still not working!!! Please advise how I can make it work again. I only need the image resize function oh IH2, I do not need the zoom function at all. I have a stupid idea, is there any file of IH2 that I can delete, so that it doesn't affect the Swap image mod, at the same time the image resize function is still there?
thanks, I know I am kinda stupid
1 More testing here:
If I goto admin and stop IH resize images, the swap image function on my website is working again! Should I believe that everything will be fine if the resize function does not apply to product info page? If then, how can I control the resize function only applies to all other area except the images on product info page? Please advise which file I should alter to achieve that
Many thanksssssssssssssssssss
Have you check the Image Swapper support thread to see if there any info there?
Before installing the mods, did you check to see if you was going overwrite any files?
What order did you install the mods and have tried to reverse the order?
IH ignores images in the image/medium and image/large folders.
M
Thanks for your reply. I have checked both IH2 and Recently Viewed support thread but till now no solution no this
I first install swap image, then IH2
do you know which file of IH2 I can control the resizeimage not to applied on product info page?
thanks!
Thankyou for answering. I have checked and the necessary ones are there. I have decided that IM2 is not for me in this instance so now I am left with the problem of having poor quality pictures on my website. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Please take a look at one of my product info page:
http://www.locomolife.com/store/inde...roducts_id=200
As you can see, the main image is in original size 400 x 400px while the additional images are 100x100.
Before installing IH2, the additional images are set to be 100 x 100 while the actual file is 400x400. My other mod, Swap image function worked perfectly at that time.
However, since I installed IH2, the additional images no more load from original 400x400 files, instead, they use the 100x100 files generated by IH2. The swap image function on my product info page doesn't work anymore.
Therefore, I thought if I could stop the resizing function of IH2 on the info page, the swap image mod will work again. In other words, while the additional images on the product info page are to be keep a size of 100x100, I want them to load from actual 400x400 files, but not using the resized image generated by IH2
Sorry I am not very good at explaining. Hope this can let you have more details about the case
thanks!
I installed the IH2 tonight but the hover images are not showing up for me. Everything seemed to install fine without any errors. The store is here: http://skribblzart.com/shoponline/
Any help would be appreciated.
My error is strange. When i install IH2, the image gallery in the product info page stops displaying images. I've gone through the code, strangely enough, if i open the source code, all the links & everything between <script><a href....></script> is there, but it just doesn't work.
If i remove the <script></noscript> (approx line 90 in file \includes\modules\pages\product_info\main_template_vars_images_additional.php ), then the images start to display & i can even hover over them, but the <a href..> part does not work & i cannot click on it to enlarge it. I have even tried comparing source code when i turn on the image handler & when i turn it off, and they're the same.
Can't seem to figure out what could be wrong. Can anyone help me out please. Many thanks.
BTW, i found the solution below to the above problem, in case someone is also having the same problem
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...150#post607150
Now, stuck at next level :) .. which is that the additional images display, but you can't click popup to the larger image .. if anyone knows how to fix that, i'm all ears!
Thanks.
Again.....

Alright, I'm having some major trouble with ImageHandler2. I uninstalled it, but now, for some reason, I can't view larger images.
It links to a phantom image in the images/large folder which just isn't there. The additional images work fine, but It just won't work with the regular 'View Larger Image' link.
HELP!! (plz)
EDIT: Never mind, i just completely overwrote the includes/modules/pages folder with the original ZC install files.
Hurrah!
I'm still in the process of uploading it to my live site. Working on a local server at the moment.
I'm using Zen 1.2.7 & used image-handler_2.0-zc12.zip file.
Here is what i do & what happens
I've created the following folders
images
images\medium
images\large
Step 1
-------
After that, i merely upload a single large file as the default file in IH2 manager. Works fine for the main basic file.
Step 2
-------
Next, press the new file & upload another large file as the default file. Repeat this step to add few more files so they add up in the additional images gallery.
Once this is done, the additional files do appear in the product info page, but they do not have a 'larger image' link at the bottom of the image. If i hover over them, they zoom alright .. watermarking works fine too. Only one image is upload in the 'images' directory this way & all images are resized properly. Basically, everything seems to be working perfectly except that 'larger image' link is not there.
Now .. if in step 2, i can give the _same_ file as the default file AND the large image file, same file is upload in the 'images' directory as well as the 'images\large' directory, ofcourse, (with _LRG suffix) and viola ... all seems to be working properly, the 'larger image' link is there & working correctly. Although now in the IH2 manager, a 'delete' button appears under the large image.
Everything is picked up from the bmz_cache directory, the image size is also ok. The only downside to this approach is that a single image is uploaded twice .. or maybe there is also something else that is not right which i don't know about.
I hope the above detail helps .. please let me know what i'm doing wrong here. Thanks a lot.
how come an image is popping up when i hover over the image in the list
http://d2hut.com/index.php?main_page...&cPath=353_354
for example
I have had IM 2 working fine on my ZC 1.3.8
I recently changed the images setup a bit and went with separate image folder for each category in the store and I'm not sure if that is when this started to happen.
When I look at a product that has a second or third image, it shows the first image fine. I click on the image and see the large image fine including the watermark but the additional image does not show.
Naturally I went to the IH 2 config to try and figure this out and low and behold the additional image is there and I can show the larger view of either image inside IH 2, just not in the actual store.
Take a look at this link: http://robertensing.com/index.php?ma...&keyword=29550 you'll only see the first image, the front of the candle.
I have included a snapshot of what it looks like in IH 2
Any ideas?
Hi guys,
I can successfully upload the small (default) image but when I try and upload the large and medium images i get the following error:
Error TEXT_MSG_NOUPLOAD_MEDIUM
Error TEXT_MSG_NOUPLOAD_LARGE
I changed the read/write permissions on the folders but still, nothing. Any ideas?
Thanks

Ah, I think it was something to do with my file permissions on the bmz_cache folders.
Thanks anyway,
Ciaran
While this has nothing to do with the error.....
Why are you uploading small and medium images???
If you are doing this then why are you using Image handler?
The whole point with IH is that you upload just the large image and IH will auto create the small and medium image for you, thus saving you time.

I changed the read/write permissions on the folders but still, nothing. Any ideas?

Sorry, that was my mistake, i realised my error in uploading 3 images instead of one, as well as clearing the cache.
Thanks

Hello,
I just realized that the hoover effect of IH2 does not work in Opera Browser Version 9.24. Does anybody know something about that?
I don't even know, if it worked anytime? Could anybody tell me, if there's something I messed up or if it is a browser problem?
Regards,
Miriam
edit: version-no.
In tracking down 'my' error issues and I have read several threads on the 'White Screen' of death. I have a blank Catalog front page, but Admin works in the background ? I made NO changes to any files prior to installing IH2, but when the supplied files were OLDER than what existed, I tucked the newer ones away and used your's directly, since they did not normally fall into the subset of ../custom folder.
Most contributors that are adding lines of code to existing files, include in their readme.txt file the lines to search for and what to replace or add next to it. Am I to assume :shocking:, that I need to dissect the the old file for changes and add it to the newer file ? I use Crimson Editor and can use Dreamweaver as well for editing.
Thanks for the help, I hope to not be a NewB too much longer.
Toby.
A white page always means that some php-error occures - you must look in source code, whether there is any output, but when you messed up some php-code, it will stop for any reason. So you have to check for error messages which will be thrown from php-parser. Often this is prevented from server side to protect the customers view of website. So you have to turn on php-error-messaging. Or install same version on an local webserver, where you can savely turn on error-messages and retrieve the errors.Quote:

Another suggestion: return to original files and carefully follow every step you made...
Thank you for responding Miriam_T..
After searching this thread for "White Pages" or "Blank Pages", then reading a multitude of related users having similar problems.. DrByte had included a link for the PHP_Debugger Tool for another user, one of his contribs, I'm sure. I ran it on the failing side, as instructed, it told me that I had made a similar declaration in another file, I looked at the other file, "ezthumbnails", I tucked it into an isolating folder, reran the failing Catalog, viola !! There seems to be some alignment problems in the right sideboxes now, but way better than a dead site. All hovers and enlargement features are working. Thanx to the both of you.. I highly recommend that all NewB's grab this file.. it looks like a life saver.
Everything is installed and no error codes are 'showing', BUT, what is happening is all of the files are getting thrown into the /images (root) no matter what size they are ? I keep a cleaner house than this and I would like to know where to go in and change the code to accomodate my tidy habits, i.e.: /images/thumbnails, /images/medium, /images/large.. and then, if I didn't want enough already, I would like IH2 to actually pull from and return to the folder the I have specified the images were to be used from in the 1st place, instead of creating MORE of the same to accomodate their untidiness.. Please ? :frusty:
Image Handler only needs the large version of the image. It creates the medium and small and stores them in the bmz cache. You can use sub directories in the images folder to organize them a category of your choosing. Just don't put them in the large, medium folders or you will override the function of image handler.
