However, if you use the last version, 1.10.2, instead of 1.10.3, you might find the problem goes away.
1.10.2 has a sanitizer in it that makes some of those changes for you. He removed it in his most recent version - why I don't know.

I am getting this error from Google:
XML formatting error - Error
Our system encountered an error when processing your data feed. Learn more.

XML formatting error - Error
Your feed contains a character that is not permitted in UTF-8 encoding.
Examples:
Line Nr.
25
-----------------------------------
I open the XML file with notepad++ go to the line and column number this is what I find:
Micro Talk
ΠGMRS/FRS 2-Way Radios with 16-Mile Range <---- Copy paste from notepad but within notepad it actually looks like this:
Attachment 9682
On the website this is what it looks like:
Micro Talk® GMRS/FRS 2-Way Radios with 16-Mile Range
So could this be the issue: ® and any help on how I can fix it.
Will installing
The UTF-8 Mods for databases help wit this issue?
Thank you all so much I've read and read everywhere:frusty:
I don't know if this will help. I recently encountered some invalid characters in descriptions that broke an rss feed. The characters couldn't be seen in the product listing form but could be seen on the front end. In the product listing form, plain text mode, I copied the description and pasted it right back into place, saved and the invalid characters were gone. This got the rss feed working again.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
hardwiredtemplates - I reread your post and see that my answer doesn't really apply.

Delia I think we found our answer. I went to version 1.10.2 and the feed does load.
Still wondering if Adding these mods would have helped.

I didn't, and had no issues with the feed on the two sites where I installed it. But, I used 1.10.2, not .3. I think the removal of the sanitizer in .3 is going to fubar a lot of feeds.

You are right 1.10.3 is messing things up. how many products were you able to generate feed for?
Are there limitations on this mod it only seems to work approximately for 2000 products or less any thing above that
Leaving Max products: blank
generates this error code:

That particular error is almost always a permissions issue.

I've got 30000 products, is this mod not designed to handle that?
If not then how can I do several .XML feeds - What will go in these boxes

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I don't have that amount of product and haven't encountered that problem, but I do need to make separate feeds.
For now I'm using GMCF version 1.10.2. Google wants media items categorized but not all of my items are media related. I need to make several feeds so everything doesn't get dumped into one google category.
How I make several feeds is using these fields
Included Categories - to include only my store category ID's that I want included in my feed so they will go into the correct google category
when I have the media feed made I use
Excluded Categories - to exclude the category ID's (media)I don't want in the feed and all my other store categories will be included
I adjust a few other settings for each feed
Output File Name
Default Product Category
These are all I adjust for my purposes.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Well, today's the Google deadline. Anybody having any problems that just started today? I'm not seeing anything new.
