can anybody help me to find easypopulate contribution for zencart, its not available under the Admin Tools category... please advise.
About 1 min of searching came up with:
http://www.modhole.com/modhole/index.php
and
http://www.zencartbuilder.com/
They both appear active.
Thanks for the reply madk but this is paid... cant i find a free solution?
If you'd looked a little closer, you'll find that the free version is on the first link you were given; you only need to pay if you want the pro version (which is well worth it)
Anyway here is the precise link... http://www.modhole.com/modhole/index...ies&category=1
I've been posting my questions on Langers support forum on his site, but I'm probably making him talk to himself by now, so I'll ask here.
On the read me/instructions that compe with the package, it says:
"For example, the presence of the ptc_categories_index_path column will invoke a categories upload only, and product descriptions will only update if the products name column is present."
Yet in my store template that is a field. I already did the categories upload. So when uploading the products do I leave this field in the EP file or leave it out?
I'm also confused at this point if I need to use the store template to upload products or the productid template?
If I am supposed to use the ptc_categories_index_path do I enter the categories as: (for example) Accessories~Other Accessories ?
thank you,
betty
also, in the store template the field v_tax_class_title has the sample field as:
--none--
am I supposed to keep the dashes in it?

Hello,
I am new to ZenCart and slowly learning the ropes.
I have followed the install instructions (Install.txt) for Easy Populate and have uploaded the Easy Populate contribution mod to my server. However, when I log into my ZenCart Admin panel and check the Tools menu, I can't find Easy Populate. My site - while under construction and testing - is in a directory one level below the root. (e.x.www.mysite.com/mysite/). I changed the name of the "Admin" directory to "easypopulate_admin" so the files wouldn't overwrite the existing "Admin" directory in the "mysite" directory, and proceeded to upload that folder into the "mysite" directory. I then uploaded the "temp" directory into the "mysite" directory and changed the permissions on the "temp" directory to chmod 700 (read, write, execute for owner only). After this, I opened my ZenCart Admin panel and looked at the tools menu, but could not find "Easy Populate".
Please let me know if I did something wrong during the installation of this mod. I have tried re-installing it a few times now and nothing has happened. Thanks for all of your help in advance guys!
In Christ,
Jesse
You sure did. Renaming the admin folder was your big mistake. Just upload it as admin (all the eaypopulate files are new and you won't be overwriting anything)Quote:

Can you make it so you can add a "Category" image in the datasheet upload.
I am dealing with alot of categories and this would help speed things up quicker.
Also.
I had a question before that didnt get answered. It was that I was uploading my products to a temp directory to add attributes to them then changing the directories in the database and then reuploading them. Effects: 1) Invalid master id's. 2) I have alot of these "Temp" folders that I cant delete, so I just move them to a unused closed directory. Is there a better way to do this? Will I run into any problems later? I have to do this this way because I am dealing with huge amounts of products.
Support for the advanced version is not given here.Quote:
