Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
We may have to add that as we add lines like drapery rods, custom shades etc., but thankfully we didn't have to go through too much just to get availability working. The new version spits out a feed faster than ever... it is very nice. The UTF-8 took me 2 solid hours but that is done now.
We have pillows made from French and Italian fabrics and the names were being rejected by the feed as code or undocumented characters but with UTF-8, all is well. No issues whatsoever.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Warning: opendir(/home/herbschi/public_html/zen/GOOGLE_PRODUCTS_DIRECTORY) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/herbschi/public_html/zen/xxxxx/googlefroogle.php on line 185
I am still getting this error with 1.10.0
renamed "admin" before upload.
Feed directory installed in root .
feed file is "feed/" in configuration
NOW WHAT DO I DO?
Thanks,
Marvin
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I get this message:
Google Merchant Center Feeder v started 2011/10/07 19:05:07
Feed file - /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/feed/htpradios_products_en.xml
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No

Google Merchant Center File Complete In 0.937608 Seconds 1 of 148 Records
Why do I get only 1 item generated??
Thanks

Most often the cause of a truncated feed is special characters in the title, description, or image file name.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Ok, when I install or uninstall the sql patches, I get a 1064 error.
I am running MySQL 5.0.92
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'SELECT @configuration_group_id:=configuration_group_id FROM configuration_group' at line 2
in:
[SET @configuration_group_id=0; SELECT @configuration_group_id:=configuration_group_id FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title= 'Google Merchant Center Feeder Configuration' LIMIT 1; DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_group_id = @configuration_group_id AND configuration_group_id != 0; DELETE FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_id = @configuration_group_id AND configuration_group_id != 0;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
What syntax should this be? Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I've downloaded and installed 1.11.02 (about 10 times now!!) and it is not creating a feed file. When I switch on 'Debug', no information is displayed in the pop up box. I can see the extra configuration settings, but the problem is when I try to create the feed.
I changed to UTF8 using the mod in the add ons.
I might have to go back to 1.10.1 (if no solution is found) as this worked fine apart from some encoding errors.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
we have updated to the new gppgle merchant center feed on our zen cart and it is showing the warning 'missing recommended attribute - google product category' I understand that this is not required , i found the 'default product category' on the config of google merchant feed in admin, but my products are a broad range of catering supplies, bar products, catering equipment, furniture, glassware and much more.
I can't find any suitable category on google product category taxonomy the closest ive found is:
Business & Industrial > Food Service
Anyone offer any advice?
Thanks

Just use Business & Industrial > Food Service. Be sure to enter it in the correct format for xml, which would be Business & Industrial > Food Service.
