On the Feeder Configuration page, set Product Type to "Top". If you have more than one Default Product Category, you have to set up different feeds for each category. See post 3091 for full explanation.
kat
OK...will change that to "top" as right now I have it at "full". I don't have more than one default category so no need to set up different feeds.
Thank you!
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I don't know if it's causing the problem, but your store description should be plain text, not xml format.
Output Directory feed/google/ Info - Why is there info at the end of this? This line is for folder entries only. Do you have feed/google/info in your root?
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
My feed name changed to feed/google after the installation of Numinix Product Fields. It is not in the root but rather inside the feed file.
feed....google....domain_products_en.xml.
I changed the description to plain text.

There should not be "info" at the end of the output directory path unless you actually have a folder, (not a file), named info.
So, if in your store root directory you have:
feed/google
The output directory needs to be
feed/google/
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
OOPS! I just realized that "info" appears on a lot of the settings. Must be some kind of copy/paste thing.
So, the only weird thing I see is the store info. Other than that the settings match mine.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
OK...thank you very much for your time and help!

yes it is feed only. yes permissions set to 777.
By the way I also have a Yahoo feed which is working correctly and using the feed directory.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Here is the contents of GOOGLE_PRODUCTS_OUTPUT_FILENAME_products_.xml that that appears in the feed directory

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Friday, I get an email from Google. They claim my listings are missing 'MPN' values, and gave me examples (links to my products). I have 7 days to fix it or I will be suspended.
Problem is, these are digital downloads and have no UPC code. The MPN is my own product code, but the field is filled out. Worse is that when a feed is submitted, there are no errors coming back from Google, as viewed on the Google Merchant Center pages. I asked for an exemption, but still am clueless as to what Google thinks I am doing wrong. The last thing I need to do is edit 700+ listings to make the Google Gorilla happy.
