Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
I beleive I have a simple issue, and it may have to do with the rewrite isapi.dll, but has any one running version 1.3.8a zencart on Windows Server 2003 to work?
It writes the link, but does not map to the long name.
PHP 5.2.9
My sql 5.2.1
IIS 6
Please advise how you got the rewrite work....or what files you need to check...Thanks
Vern

Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
Hi
I have Cceon URI mapping installed. It works fantastically and does exactly what I needed.
BUT....
I had a problem that it seems to have created when I try and add products that have attributes to the cart. The products are not added to the cart.
A more full ( and panicky) description of the problem is on this thread : http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...388#post745388.
Is there a work around or solution for this issue?
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
i cant see SEO urls running on your site!!
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
Well, most of the uri re-write has been disabled at the moment to get the attributes to work.
I left one product with re-writes for people to look at. It is the last product on the 'oversuits' page. It is called 'Nick Test Oversuit'. It is a bargain at £90.
Link to the product listing page is:

Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for looking.
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
i see what you mean, the buy button takes you to your shopping cart but doesn't add the product!! thats not good!! i dont use atributes on my site running SEO urls, but was going to add to my other site but now i think ill hold back as that site had attributes!
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
is it working on items that dont have attributes???
Re: Ceon URI Mapping (SEO)
Well, it wasn't the best moment i have had!
Best described by Bunyip who spotted the issue (thank you, Bunyip)
Quote:
Yep - it seems that some pages are being redirected, and although the redirect is including the GET parameters (ie: action=add_product), the POST parameters (most importantly - qty and selected attributes) are not passed, so you get qty 0 added to the cart.
Having said that i can't believe that I am the first to use attributes with ceon uri mapping or any other re-writing mod. So, there must be a solution or a workaround. I just can't see it at the moment. So, I wouldn't get too spooked about all re-writing at all. I have left this mod in place I am just telling it to re-write nothing until I get an answer. In my case that isn't an issue as the shop isn't live yet.
Conor from ceon seems to visit the forum fairly frequently so we'll see what his take is.
