The problem is when using Fast and Easy checkout AND Zone Rate for shipping, when the customer fills in their name, address etc on the login page then hits the SUBMIT button they get an INTERNAL SERVER ERROR.
If I deactivate FEC all works OK.
If I activate FEC and change to Flat Rate of Free Shipper - all works OK.
I really need FEC and Zone Rate to be working together as I ship world wide, and would like for my customers to be able to check out
"FAST and EASY".
Could you please advise as to how to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance --- Paul.
This is not a template inherent problem. It sounds like you have not installed fast and easy checkout correctly.
Thanks,
Anne
Re: Abbington Mega Template Support Thread
I had the program professionally installed by Numinix, the author of the program, so I cannot believe it has anything to do with the installation.
And like I said, it works perfectly with another template.
Re: Abbington Mega Template Support Thread
Did you reinstall it after the new template? If it still works with the old one, it sounds like some of the files didn't make it to the new template install.

If you installed this template AFTER you installed FEC then it means that you are missing all of the template specific files that FEC needs to run.. This means this is an issue with your FEC installation and not an issue caused by this template.. You can ask the good folks at Numinix to help you correct this if you are not comfortable making the changes needed yourself..
Re: Abbington Mega Template Support Thread
I found the problem - There were two copies of the same file in the same directory and that was confusing everything. Don't know why I didn't see that before. Removed one of the files and all works OK now. THANKS ----------Paul

It means to comment out that part of the file so it will not run...
Begin Comment with <!-- and go to where I pointed out and put and END comment -->
This keeps the Contact Us in the header from running and sends the customer directly to your "Contact Us" page where you place the CAPTCHA.
I never could find a way to place CATCHA on the "Contact Us" form that comes with the template - this did the trick for me.
Hope this helps.....

Thanks Paul - so it has the same effect as deleting that code but without deleting it should you wish to revert at some future point - is that right? (similar to a .htaccess 302 temporary redirect ?)
thanks,
Mike
Re: Abbington Mega Template Support Thread
Exactly---I don't like to delete original code just in case you need to restore it later.

Ok, so the problem was with the fec install. I am happy that you got everything figured out.
Thanks,
Anne
