Absolutely true.
A lot of the information is very old and it makes it confusing.
I personally want to thank Numinix. I will be definitely donating or purchasing some of your addons. You were always polite in answering questions *especially on your forum*.
Numinix - thanks for the last update...that really did the trick. YOU are amazing, helpful and always nice. Thanks for all of your contributions too.

Sounds logical to me - but then so did the world being flat:smile:
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I have Google Base Feeder working - kinda. File had 365 products in it but Google Merchant Centre shows 0 of 109 products inserted. So 2 issues but I will worry about the actual quantity later - it is the errors for the 109 that I need to get sorted.
By the way - read as many pages back as I could without going GaGa.
Getting errors as follows;
Invalid price (109 errors)
We don't accept non-numeric values or negative prices. If you are including the currency code or symbol, please make sure it matches the currency of the target country.
examples shown had prices as "7.95" which I see no problem with - maybe the problem is that the default currency on the site is AUD and in Google Merchant Centre Configuration it is USD and cannot be altered!! - it will not let me alter it, there is no edit box when you click on the info icon.
AFTERTHOUGHT = Google Merchant Check Out is not available yet in Australia - from what I gather it is only available in USA, CAN and UK - but I have selected do not use checkout - wondered if this may have something to do with it ??
Missing recommended attribute: brand (109 warnings)
While items missing recommended attributes will process successfully, we recommend including relevant attributes if they are available.
The products do not have a brand and are not Handmade or Custom - do I insert a made up brand name and if so where? (under manufacturer in product details?)
Missing recommended attribute: availability (109 warnings, only affecting Product Search, Search API for Shopping)
While items missing recommended attributes will process successfully, we recommend including relevant attributes if they are available.
Really not sure what this is about - in product description pages I have selected "do not show qty box" (albeit they still show in product pages) - any ideas ?
Missing recommended attribute: google product category (109 warnings)
While items missing recommended attributes will process successfully, we recommend including relevant attributes if they are available.
Of the 109 products singled out they are from about 3 or 4 different categories .... so how does one sort this?
I have tried re-configuring config but it doesn't change things.
So now I look for help. Thank you indeed in advance.
cheers,
Mike
p.s. ZenCart v1.3.9 add-on is latest version showing in add-ons section. (but not the super dooper very last recent one I don't think from reading recent posts)

shags38
first, you need to download the latest & greatest from the one and only Numinix
here
make sure you uninstall the sql and then re-install it.
if you did that than you are on your way.
make all your adjustments to new config
on the attribute: availability you need to go to your admin in zen cart and edit your page layout and show stock. that's why i have done to make it work. on your new configuration for google merchant make these adjustments:
show quantity true
default quantity 1
start with those and post your results.
hope that helps

Manufacturer and that would be in admin.
Then when you list a new item you add the manufacturer.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
My feed has <g:availability>in stock</g:availability>
but google has rejected the feed with the error Missing required attribute: availability
any ideas?
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
OK, I have searched through this thread for a solution to my problem but I can't find one
I'm trying to set product type to "bottom", but when I do this the tag isn't generated in the feed. If I set it to "top" or "full" it works as it should, but not for bottom.
If anyone can help with this, I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks, Rob.
