I have attached a screenshot to show exactly what I mean.
Any help with this would be appreciated, as editing an order at present means the customer doesn't get an invoice with tax showing.
Thanks,

A quick search of this thread for the keywords "calculate tax" would have brought you to this page and this page, both of which discuss this issue.
Short answer: Edit Orders does not currently recalc tax or shipping when an order is edited. That functionality will appear in v3.5. Since free mod updates are done as the author's time permits, there is no known estimate for when v3.5 will be ready for release.
You will have to manually recalc any tax changes required after editing and order and adjust your order totals accordingly. As for shipping cost changes, that is an editable field in the Edit Orders screen so you can simply update it after doing a manual recalc.
Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 [Support Thread]
Hello everyone,
I just found about this MOD for my sister's ZEN CART while looking for a way to post-edit orders when needed (removing shipping fees, removing one item that was supposed to be in stock ... but really wasn't, etc.). We don't have to take care of the taxes, that's good.
I got the blank login screen as well and found out that I alread had a edit_orders.php next to edit_orders_functions.php with exactly the same contents (not sure where I got this one!). PHP was basically trying to redefined functions already defined
I can now login again and edit an existing order: address, put 0 quantity, change shipping, etc. However, if I try to add an product to the existing order, after selecting it from the drop-down menus, all I can get is:
Code:
1364 Field 'products_prid' doesn't have a default value
in:
[insert into orders_products set orders_id = 162, products_id = 288, products_model = '', products_name = 'LeS CraYonS de CouLeuR', products_price = '14.5000', final_price = '14.5', products_tax = '0', products_quantity = 1, onetime_charges = 0;]
I read the whole thread but can't find someone with the same problem. I am the only one? It's purely within edit_order.php which is a native/original file, not a merged one. Did I forget something?
Regards,
Julien
Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 [Support Thread]
Thanks, ScriptJunkie... I did actually search for some time for an answer to that particular problem, including this thread for the keyword 'tax', without success -- not sure why, but there are no results for that keyword on this thread (when I search, anyway).
I fully respect the fact that one can only update the mod as time permits -- and those who take the time to write a mod for public use.
Again, thanks for clarifying.
Re: Edit Orders v3.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 [Support Thread]
I had the same problem with my search. I didn't find anything under "tax" either. I believe this is due to "tax" being too few characters for the search to function.
I only knew to add the word "calculate" because I was familiar with the core issue. Those who don't know that the core issue being discussed is actually one of "tax calculation" vs. something like "wrong order totals" or something similar might not know to use the keywords "calculate tax" or "recalculate tax" as their search terms.
So....I was putting it out there for you and also for future visitors to this thread who might have the same issue.
Good luck and happy Zenning

And on that same note let me add this.. I created two posts which address known issues/limitations with Edit Orders. These posts include some referential data to explain the nature/cause of these limitations. You can locate both by searching (within THIS thread) for the keywords "KNOWN ISSUES"

Thanks, people.
As searches are fairly specific to the keywords you use, I didn't know what term to use, but DivaVocals cleared that up -- searching for 'known issues' is definitely a good idea :)

The instructions are very straight forward in the Read_Me, and are laid out based on which versions of Edit_Orders and TY Package Tracker you are using.
There is no way to troubleshoot your issue based on the information you provided: "it messed up my store".
In order to receive good tech support, you need to provide the following information:
- What version of Edit Orders do you have installed?
- What version of TY Package Tracker did you install?
- Do you have Super Orders installed? If so, which version?
- Once you installed TY Package Tracker, what steps did you take? (and please don't come back with a generic "I followed all the steps in the Read_Me" - we need to know exactly what you did - so copy/paste from the Read_Me if you have to, but provide exact step by step detail of what you did)
- What part of the Read_Me is "confusing". We can't explain it to you if we don't know what you're looking at.
- What does "messed up my store" mean? Please provide detail regarding the exact issue you are having. "Messed up" could mean anything
If you are running the most recent versions of both Edit Orders and TY Package Tracker, then the instructions for installation and configuration are as simple as this:
From the Edit Orders Read_Me:
Ty Package Tracker Users:
If you have installed Ty Package Tracker and would like to use Ty Package Tracker with Edit Orders v3.02 please read the "How to Use" tab
From the "How to Use" tab of the Edit Orders Read_Me:
You will need to follow the following steps to use Edit Orders v3.02 with Ty Package Tracker v3.0.
- Install Ty Package Tracker v3.0
- Go to Admin > Configuration > Ty Package Tracker. Then simply set the "Ty Package Tracker Module Switch for Edit Orders v3.0 or Super Orders v3.0" to "True" to activate the Ty Package Tracker fields in Edit Orders.
This will enable the Ty Package Tracker fields and make them available in Edit Orders.
