I also had orders that may ship in more than one shipment. The simplest way to get around this is to add something in the comments box. I'll usually add '1 of 2' and '2 of 2' into the comment box for each shipment.

If nothing is typed in the comments then nothing happens. This is a good way to prevent accidental blank emails from going out. Since the tracking numbers are in different fields from the comments field the system isn't going to detect and save the addition of tracking numbers until something is added to the comments field.
I always type the service in the comments.... something like "Parcel Post", UPS Ground Service", etc.
I found it advantageous to use a macro program to enter standard phrases for me. So I type #g for "UPS GROUND SERVICE". #p for "USPS PRIORITY MAIL", or #4 for "USPS PARCEL POST" (since #p can't be used for both, I use 4 to represent to old 4th class mail designation for Parcel Post.)
Ty Lieu's TY UPS WORLDSHIP will automatically supply a link to the UPS Shipment record based on your order (reference) number. The link is automatically added to the comments field when you print your label.
Instead of looking up the tracking number, it looks up the shipment's reference number (your order number) and your account number to find the shipment record to display. The link is also displayed in your email to the customer.
I'm not aware of any add-on that will do this for USPS or other carriers. I use the cut-and-paste method for USPS.

This will be fix in the next version.
Right now you either have to:
Add comments or change the status.
I usually add a comment for multiple tracking id. Use something similar to:
Box 2 of 3.
Box 1 of 4. Contents: Gold rings.
If you get lazy. Just use a "period" as the comment.
PROBLEM:
I have had this installed for a few days.
Just noticed that the orders screen doesn't properly show my taxes! Had a few hour of panic wondering how my tax setting could have been messed up after months of working perfectly, when I compared the hard copy invoices I have on hand (pre-Ty Package Tracker) and the invoices as displayed by the Ty Package Tracker.
An example:
Proper output:
Same order, as displayed by Ty Package Tracker:Quote:
Subtotal: $47.30
Shipping: $15.02
5% GST: $2.38
5% GST on shipping: $0.75
Total: $65.45
It rounds differently, that's number one.Quote:
Sub-Total: $47.30
Canada Post (1 box(es) to be shipped) (Expedited, 2009-06-01): $15.02
5% GST : $2.37
5% GST on shipping: $2.37
Total: $67.05
Then it seems to use the first tax amount for the 2nd tax line, which is number two, and the biggie.
Is there a fix for this? If not, I'll need to uninstall and fast.
Thanks!!
The mod doesn't make changes to tax.
Are you sure you didn't make changes to the file?
I'm not suggesting it changes the tax.
I'm suggesting it does not display it correctly.
Hi Guys,
i use Ty Package Tracker v2.3a since 2 Days and it works like a charm. But i have one question: How can i change the text of the email who contains the Trackingnumber send to the costumer ?
regards from germany
I forgot you could use this mod without having to use your tracker page, so maybe I won't have to uninstall.Quote:
