Re: MultiSite Module Support Thread
OK i was reading through some of the first pages. and also read the multisite installation instructions. But Im not sure on how to do this. Do i have to install both stores first than add the mods? and when I install the stores do i install on the same database? Im not sure on how to do the first steps.
Re: MultiSite Module Support Thread
oh and do i install the mod in both stores? Im just confused in the beginning. not sure how this will work? install and point to same database then install the mod to both? is that correct?

Thanks!
from what I have seen www.mysite.com/site1 and www.mysite.com/site2 should work fine, zen cart see's them as unique URL's. Only problem could be if this mod only works in a root directory, but this is unlikly.

No, it's only ONE install and ONE database. You make the modifications to that one install. During the mod installation, you'll set up a config file for each store that you want to set up. You'll also set up which stores will "see" which categories. Then just point all your stores to this ONE installation. The mod does the rest...determining which store your buyer is coming from and "feeding" them the correct template, categories, etc. Try reading the instructions with this in mind and see if it makes more sense now.
Re: MultiSite Module Support Thread
ok I got it working. but now i cant login to create an account. I read earlier that someone had the same problem with this. But I not sure if he resolved it or got it working?
Re: MultiSite Module Support Thread
I have added "ALTER TABLE orders ADD order_site varchar(30) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'no';" to my database for my original site but I am no longer going to use the mod, I made a back up of the database but dont want to use it. is my site going to have any problems? (I did not update any files...)
Re: MultiSite Module Support Thread
here is a link to one store.
http://www.oxicore.com/
and heres the second store.
http://www.oxicore.co.nz/
I am using 2 different templates. They are very similar. But I have one problem. Its not loading the correct template when going to the separate site.
the one for oxicore.com it has the footer and its linking to the correct pages staying in the same web site.
the other one for the oxicore.co.nz it has the same footer but its not loading the correct footer.php. when you click the link its actually going to the oxicore.com site.
Is there something im doing wrong? I have separated the different templates and they are using it. But my custom links are not picking up. I also edit the footer and the index page for each template to point to a certain link. but its only loading from what ever is selected from the admin template selections.
In the admin page i have to switch the templates to have it work one way or the other. but i want to have it work both.
