Unless you can get someone that got it working to help you I would leave it for now. I tried several times since 1.3.8a to get it to work and have never succeeded.
PayPal module just worked - except for the customers complaining about PayPal as a company.
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
I consider myself a fairly experienced Google Checkout user, with successful integrations on ZenCart on 6 different operating sites. I noticed today that our main site, hppenterprises.com, is giving the following error when selecting Google Checkout:
You do not currently have any valid shipping methods.
We've not made any changes on the site that I'm aware of, or in our Google Checkout settings. I've compared the Payment Module settings and the Google Checkout site settings to all of our other operating carts and they are all identical in setup.
The only thing that has happened recently is that our web host moved our files over to a different hard drive partition. Is it possible that there could be a file problem or permissions issue that is causing this, and if so, what file should I research?
I initially thought there may be a conflict w/ the "FREE SHIPPING OPTIONS" module which is turned on ... when you login to Google Checkout, for about 1 second, you can see the "FREE SHIPPING OPTIONS" shipping method appear, then it disappears, leaving the yellow box and the error:
You do not currently have any valid shipping methods.
I disabled the FREE SHIPPING OPTIONS module; however, and the problem didn't go away, plus the free ship options module is active on our other 5 sites and working just fine.
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.

Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
Have got this working BUT the shipping is being a pain, how do I get it to "couple up" to the settings in my admin userface?
Basically, it's offering free shipping on everything (as an option), not only on orders over £250 as it's set up to do.
That one can be gotten around with a banner with a voucher code to give free shipping so not that much of an issue.
However, it's showing my flat rates as the same to both mainland uk and international, I can't find a setting for international flat rate (therefore cannot find where to change it).
Any help?
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
I can't edit my post so posted again
Even is there a way that I can just disable the international flat rate shipping option from google checkout?
as that would be better than someone from another country paying the same single mainland uk flat rate as I generally ship by courier so the price diference is not really that small (as I would also take it that it will be ignoring my zones or offering free shipping to zones I do not have defined).
At least this way I can say please contact for a shipping quote and then invoice seperately for it.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
I'm setting up a new store and installed Google Checkout. After step 3 it goes back to step 1 and no order is created. what is wrong?
any ideas?
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
PS. I'm getting "Invalid or not supported Message" when I run googlecheckout/responsehandler.php
Re: Google Checkout module for Zen Cart 1.3.x (beta)
I find the way that Google Checkout works is a little bit weird. On my 'other' cart software the shipping is passed to Google, but it says shipping will be calculated on next page.
I am looking at perhaps adding Google Checkout to my two Zen powered carts soon to complement the PayPal I currently offer. More so to give customers some sort of choice at the checkout stage. Problem is this update doesn't appear to have been supported that much, or upgraded in recent times.
Question to folks who have both PayPal and Google Checkout options. Do you find shop visitors have preference for one over the other? Just want to evaluate if it a worthwhile addition.
Thanks....

Your site's in maintenance though. Have you figured it out? Is it a Google Checkout issue?

I use Google Checkout AND PayPal on all of my three sites. I have done so for some time and I've istalled it on many other customers ZC stores.
A year ago I'd say that about 20% of sales went through Google Checkout. Now, I'd say it's closer to 50%. On one of my sites, it's much higher than that as we use the GC invoicing feature for custom orders which brings it closer to 80%.
It's a tricky mod to install but I'd say it's worth it. Take a look at the three sites in my signature and see how I've gone about integrating it.
