AARGH...disregard this. I double-checked my uploads (I swear Filezilla is deliberately trying to mess me up), and several files were missing. I now get an indication that several files are written.

This is in my test configuration, so I don't want to actually submit it to google et al, but I'll do it on my live site and report back.

OK, I just uploaded it to my live site (keeping a very sharp eye on Filezilla this time)...ran the install SQL and went to Tools->Sitemap XML. Step one ran fine, and step two informed me that four search engines were successfully notified and accepted the sitemaps.

Whatever problem anyone may be having with this, it's not an issue with v139.

I am using Traffic Travis to try to sort out my SEO, and have come across a problem related to the sitemap.

It lists the content of site sitemapproducts.xml as I've asked it but it shows the paths of the products being for example:-

http://www.website.com/shop/index.ph...oducts_id=3955

This is incorrect, as if I click on it, it loads in FF, but the shop shows and says 'Sorry, the product was not found.'

The correct link should be:-

http://www.website.com/shop/index.ph...oducts_id=3955

So I need a way to get rid of the 'amp;' from the sitemap.

Any ideas please as this problem is rendering my sitemaps useless. :(

I just discovered a bit of a glitch with SitemapXML on my site. I'd noticed that the update frequencies for products and categories were set to "weekly," and I changed them to "daily." When I updated the files via the Tools page, and checked the XML files, they kept the "weekly" update frequency.

Do I need to do something else to get these to change in the XML files?

This is similar to a problem I've been trying to solve for a while.
I generate my sitemaps with sitemap xml and upload them to google.
I have recently found out though that the information within the xml files is incorrect.
Instead of being (inside sitemapproducts.xml) of being:-

http://www.marauderstores.com/shop/i...products_id=42


It shows:-
http://www.marauderstores.com/shop/i...products_id=42

Can anybody help me?

No, the second one does not work.
It's just been formatted to look that way here on the forum.
