Zen Lightbox addon [Support Thread]

Hi Alex-

On Oct 20, 2006 the last version of Zen Lightbox v1.3 was released. Since that time (five months later) a number of suggested fixes and improvements have been posted to this thread. During this same time it's also been repeatedly announced another version of this mod is just around the corner. Wondering if it would be good to post a interim "stopgap" bug fix release for now (without planned new features), then release the version with new features at a later date?

If you're not planning to release soon I have integrated the bug fixes and can post an interim release if you wish.

Ok so I'm having this issue too where my go daddy seal shows on top. such as this http://www.kirwindesigns.com/store/i...products_id=40 I see in his post to wrap a div tag but which file?

I'm using zen cart 1.3.7 and the newest version of lightbox as of march 20, 2007

since Alex is AWOL at the moment, I wonder if you could answer a few questions for me. You seem to have a good handle on this mod.........

1. I have IH2 installed. I'm using Zen 1.3.7. All working nicely. If I install lightbox, will the fancy hover stop working? As of now, it hovers on small and shows medium. I don't want to lose this feature of IH2. It seems a lot of the sites I looked at that have lightbox and IH2, that the fancy hover doesn't work. I don't know if the webmasters did this or if it is a result of using the two mods together.

2. Interesting, but it looks like when using lightbox and when you click to enlarge and the large pic comes up in lightbox, and you right click on the pic, there is no "view" or "save" this picture. This would seem to be a nice way to keep the casual surfer from copying your pics. I know they can "view source", but for the casual surfer, it seems a detriment. This was observed using FF. I should go back an look using IE and see what happens, if it's the same.

3. Since Alex hasn't responded to your last question about an interim zip, am wondering if I decide to use lightbox, if I can get that zip file from you with "fixes" in it?

I'm awaiting for feedback from Alex. I truly don't want to step on anyone's toes here. Especially if Alex is truly on the cusp of releasing.

Also boylan, barco57, s_mack and samad has suggested many helpful tips, fixes and ideas throughout this thread. If Alex decides he no longer has the time (and/or the passion) to put out a version with updates, maybe these guys can pull together and do it?

And we all can provide Q&A testing support ;-)

I am wondering if someone here can help me to solve my lightbox problem. I have lightbox installed and everything works fine but the hover doesn't work on product list image, can someone please tell me why.

Sorry for not posting much. At the moment I'm currently making the move from full-time employement to full-time self employement! :) Yay!

Anyway... that aside, I'll be releasing the next version within about 1 weeks time. I'm still trying to get the admin config side of things sorted. However, that may be stripped out of the next release to speed things up.

I'll post back soon.

heyy everyone.. I use lightbox with zen and as well with wordpress. I might have bit older version of lightbox mod since my zen is bit behind.. but there's only a little bug I'd need to get fixed in zens lightbox.

Some of my images will go over the screensize.. and in zen's lbox the background is only darkened for the part what is displayed first in the screen not the parts you can scroll with browsers scrollbar.. bit confusing hope you understood what I meant. This works fine in my wordpress lightbox so I wanted to ask if there's a simple solution make it work? any advices highly appreciated. many thanks.!!

Futhermore... I've been really into prototype these days and I'm using prototype script besides lightbox for menus etc. but this one tabmenu requires prototype 1.5 and lightbox_prototype seems to be 1.4... and they really don't mix so is there a way to update zen lbox to use 1.5 so I'd need to use two almost identical prototype files... many thanks...
