I don't know about the slide show. I will take a look at the supersized web site to see if they have any help.
What is distorted? The captions or the background images?
Thanks,
Anne

Re: Dover Fine Responsive Template
I do not see any effects of distortions on HTC One, Samsung S5 and also a rooted nook hd tablet. Browsers used on all were Firefox and Chrome and show no distortions. As for the menu, I have seen that one before and I think the developer did not intend for it to be used on mobile phones or tablets as the hover function overrides the click function. But even if code can be written to override the hover for click for touch devices, the issue will still come back as many browsers allow users to switch user agents to view desktop versions. So this would still cause issues for those customers who do so.

Portrait orientation:
7" generic tablet
8" Galaxy Tab 3
10" Galaxy Tab 3
Motorola Razr M
BUT
I will have to retest but IIRC the distortion was browser dependent. Some browser, no distortion. Another, very distorted.
Just looked again on 8" tablet
. Looks ok chrome/firefox.
Distorted in native Samsung tablet browser & Lastpass browsers. When distorted, it is the logo oval & text oval associated w/slides.

Are the background images distorted? On the smaller screens the captions do turn to ovals.
Thanks,
Anne

Tablet:
The background images did not appear to be distorted.
The logo & captions are not distorted in Chrome or Firefox but are distorted in Samsung browser and LastPass browsers.
I did not test using our Android mobile (yet)

Thank you for your input ;) Are you talking about the slimmenu? or the flyout menu (used from the fidelity template by sam wilson 3d)? As far as I know, both of these menus are switching the on hover to on click when the screen size reaches a certain width (slimmenu is 768px).
So, if I understand correctly, these tablet devices have a screen size larger than the 768 pixels and the on hovers are not changing to on clicks?
Thanks,
Anne
Re: Dover Fine Responsive Template
Anne,
The slimMenu is actually perfect for RWD because it will always convert to a toggle menu based on the devices viewport NOT the UA which means it allows the toggle menu to function while in isNonResponsive mode for mobile and tablet devices.
If one wanted to show the drop-down in the isNonResponsive mode for mobile and tablet devices, that also works correctly. I have this running on a test site wrapped in the php-mobile-detect code to keep the menu from shrinking in isNonResponsive mode and the menu still functions correctly as a drop-down menu with the already built in onclick function to override the hover function.
I see no distortions on any of my droid phones or tablets so I can't help there, the slimMenu does work on my droid devices perfectly with some minor code changes, I also have the menu packages ready for you. I will PM those to you as well by weeks end, sorry, been extremely busy.

I dont understand this because the slim menu does not function on any of my Android tablets & I am not the only one. It doesn't make sense to claim a responsive template that is functional for all devices when it is responsive but menu is not functional. I shouldn't have to tutor customers to tap the arrow instead of the button to make things work. And then, if their desired selection is offscreen, they cannot make a selection because the menu will collapse.
Anne Is trying. Things improve, but still are not functional.

Understood, I did say "with some minor code changes". Maybe it only works on my androids!

It is open source and a new menu could be easily implemented.

I believe I also fixed this issue with "some minor code changes". May be wrong though.

The code, the templates and even plugins are improving and have yet to see FREE or COMMERCIAL Responsive templates for ZC that are even close to serving up perfectly on all devices. I am sure Anne is open to any suggestions to menus that you come across that work on all devices.

Thank you for the explanation  It is much clearer to me now.
I appreciate your menu code and will incorporate it into new responsive template packages and updates.
I would love to test out your 3.0 code! The DIY Responsive Template Default just keeps getting better and better
Thanks,
Anne
