Last week, after I had fixed all the issues related to a server migration, they surprised me with an IP change (I guess they moved some things again). I thought i was done, but nooooo.
The server name was not changed so that is good. However, since that day, one particular customer no longer receives the emails from the store. She gets the Paypal confirmation, but not the order confirmation.
I am now unsure where to check. The order confirmation is rejected by her email provider, and the message states this:
host smtp-in.sfr.fr [93.17.128.123]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550 5.7.1 Email 4W5zwP3yKKz1wB38y rejected per SPAM policy
Everywhere I try to figure out what that error means, seems to point to the SPF, but I had it set correctly (this is the ONLY customer who experiences that).
Now, the store is on one server (with a shared plan) but all emails are supposed to go through a different server (where I have a VPS) to prevent the multiple blacklisting the shared server causes.
So I have a few different IP listed in the SPF for Cloudflare, including the one for where the store is located, where the emails should go through (with the server name listed in the Email options).
Is there anywhere else that the IP should be checked?
The key here may be the IP change. Make sure the IP in your spf was replaced with the new and go to mxtoolbox.com to make sure the world is seeing it correctly.
