Hi There,

I love this template. Still have a long way to go.

My problem is that I can not change the "Page 2 - 3 - 4" on the page. I have it change when you click page 2 from the main main, more information. (You will see that I have the Portfolio in there) That works, but I want it to show Portfolio on the main page and not Page 2.

I did this and this works:
To change the name of page_2, page_3 or page_4
open the appropriate file includes -> languages -> ENGLISH -> page_?.php

However I can not find the files in my custom template.

then save the file to
includes -> languages -> ENGLISH -> CUSTOM -> page_?.php and upload to your server.

There are no page 2, 3, or 4 in the custom template.

I'm hoping you can help me. I have spent a couple hours trying to figure this out. :shocking:

Debi, as with any file in Zen-Cart, if it's not in your custom template folders, look in the corresponding template_default folders. Then copy it to the appropriate place inside your custom folder. Then edit to suite your needs.

Maybe this question doesn't belong here, but if someone has the answer, that would be awesome. How do I control what products appear in the New Products for December? And can I limit the number of products displayed in the New products section. Right now it is showing 9.

yep you are right I often use zencart then describe problem and more than 90% I get the result I want ...... that's how I found this template :cool::cool:

I'd like to add content on the home page of the site under the slider however knowing that I have to edit define main page in plain text has prohibited me from doing so. I need to use the WYSIWYG editor to add heading1, increase font size, etc. Any ideas how to go about this?

This does not make any sense. Just write your code and insert it using the plain text editor, or take out the slider, use the wysiwig and then insert the slider back in.

I love this template, its just great, but i do have one question, i would like to use the tabbed product pro module, but it looks like this template and that module has some issuses with the template html_header.php file, so i can't get it to work, now..... im not a pro on this, but do you know a easy way to make this two great products to work togheter?

it looks for me that its a css problem since if i change the file, and use tabbed product pro file, i loos the designe and has only links left, and im not able to merge them, since the template works but no luck with the tabbed module, have tested it on other templates and it works great there.

But i would realy like to use this one, so do you have any tips or tricks for me to work around this?

It is no problem to use this module with the template. Since the template modifies the html_header.php file, you will need to merge this file with the html_header.php file included with the module. If done correctly the module will work in the template.

There is no reason why this module will not work with the template if the module is installed correctly. For installation help with the module, I would recommend posting to the module support thread.

well thats one problem, becouse i have another template installed, but this one did not overwrite the html_header file in common folder, and when i switch to that one, it works great, so thats why im not sure whats wrong, and you could not see anything missing? that i might have left out?

Yes, this is exactly the problem. The all business template modifies the html_header.php file. So does the module. You need to merge these two files so that the module will work with the template.

muhahaha looks like i missed something, did a new winmerge of 2 fresh files, and now it works, great:)

If you let me know the exacxt name or url to the module then I can take a look. It is highly unlikely that the module will not work because of the template. It is much more likely that you have made a mistake during the installation of the module.

Got another problem now after i got the tabbed module working, the slide's stopped working for some reason, now they are all displayed verticly on front page, any idea how to solve this?

It seems I have broken my site again :oops::oops:
I tried to add a sponsor to my website in the sidebox ,then when I tried to view my page it would only half load (ie the whole category box to links ) down the middle of the page and after a long while the page would load with all the pictures from the slider also in a long row al under 1 another .. it would eventually load after a minute....
tried removing all adds even removed the box to no avail
tried the backup but that didn't work either
have left it without the slider for now

I even tried a backup

Have you checked the error log in your /cache folder? This will most likely tell you the error. Since all was working prior to your modification, I would think that whatever you did caused the problem. Were you just adding a banner, or did you put code into the sidebox?

Your site looks fine to me in firefox.

To fix the error with the slider, follow these instructions:

The favicon error is because you do not have a favicon.ico image in your public_html directory.

oddly enough I have just found out what favicon means and what it does .. just can't get it working lol

yeah I tried that ,it just seemed to make it worse .... but as you say it all seems to be working fine now .... am beginning to wonder if maybe It was my internet connection playing up as I have been refreshing often this evening and it's been fine
think I will leave it be for a while

There are some MUST's with using a favicon without doing extra work to get it to work with Zen-Cart:

A favicon MUST:

• Be either 16 x 16 or 32 x 32 pixels------EXACT!
• Be in the root of your shop!
• Be created in the icon format (.ico)

Now, the icon format CAN be changed to use another format such a .png, but requires extra work. If you follow the 3 steps above, it WILL work, as Zen-Cart is already configured to look for and use it with those specifications.

Once you put it in the root of your shop, clear your browser cache and refresh the page. If you don't see your favicon being displayed, then close that page, clear your cache again, close your browser. Then open it back up and reload your page. You should see it.

yeah got it working in the end ...just seemed to take a while to appear ..in the end I found a good walk though.. I followed it step by step and just left it and about 10 or so minutes later it appeared even though I cleared cache new bookmark etc I also removed the // ..I might put them back and see

Also my hosting returned my site to normal with a backup from the other day ,so all is normal again :smile:

Hi,

I would like to modify the footer slightly not to include the "Important Links"

I turned off the EZ Pages through admin but there is some cosmetic issues that i can not solve.
How can i remove separator between customer service and important links? I want this remove since i do not use important link column

hi ya yeah your site looks nice and the adaption of the slider is cool .. only thing that concerns me is the fake godaddy cert ..is it a real, as it doesn't show anything ..if it is fake look around for a cheap option as fake certs will put people off in my opinion

If you're talking about customgiftshoppes' site, then the seal is NOT a fake. You click on it in the footer, it will take you to their Privacy Page (which is secure) with the same seal displayed again.....click on it, you get the certificate information. Any page that SHOULD be secure on that site IS secure. You can always click on the lock itself to view the certificate information also.

I love this template. It's great! But I cannot change the Image size of featuredProducts. It seems to have something to do with the template.. does anyone know how to solve this?

First, let me say thank you for this beautiful template.

I have not upgraded or installed anythign to zencart since putting in All Business.

I have followed your site install instructions, and so far so good. I would like to make changes to some things in the developers toolkit - for example, currently I want to change the welcome letter. I read the tutorial for making these changes, and it tells me I should make a custom template to do all my changes in, but clearly I can't have a customer template AND All Business installed, so what do I do when I want to change things that are not adjusted in All Business, so that they don't get over-written with any Zen updates I install later? Should I copy them into the All Business folder first?

MGDesigns..............The All Business Template IS a custom template. So, yes..........make a copy to the appropriate folder, assuming that "CUSTOM" actually means "all_business", then edit your files.

So, when your reading directions for making changes, and the directions says to copy files to something like:

includes/templates/CUSTOM/templates/ or
includes/templates/CUSTOM/common/

you should interpret this as:

includes/templates/all_business/templates/ or
includes/templates/all_business/common/

I have a few more questions. I hope you will bear with me, as I am totally new to any kind of development, so even simple tasks I am learning.

I'd like to chance the colour of the background. I've read through this thread, and found to look for #navMainWrapper and chance the colour there. I did this, and I only get a colour change in the very top bar - I'd like to change the blue that is in the background of the site aswell.

Also, I am trying to find where I can change the font colour for the 'categories' 'manufacturers' etc box headers, and the checkout link I can find them on the style sheet, but I can't see where to change the actual font colour.

Sorry so long for the reply. I pretty busy at the moment working on a clients site.
But, if you found the entries in your stylesheet for say:

and it doesn't already have a color defined, just add your color as shown above in red.

That should be it for your sidebox Headings, but I'm not real familiar with that template, so that could be wrong. If you post a link to your site, we can help you a little better on these questions.

OK, that did the trick for the left category headers. I still have some residual blue on the site I can't find where to change it. Any help you can offer is very much appreciate. ( I understand I need to make new buttons for the search and other buttons, but I still have blue hovers on the manufacturers, blue titles in the footer, and a blue hover in the slider)

Okay, if you're talking about the slider numbers that blue for the current image, you can change that in this line:

That is not controlled by css. It's controlled by php, and I'm not exactly sure how to change that.................sorry.

This is a form element and can be styled using css. I would recommend doing a google search for a good css tutorial which will teach you how to style the form elements.

@ Anne. I was able to change the background color on the rest of the form with css, but as that has an attribute of
"selected = selected", I couldn't do anything about the color of the selected attribute. The place that I found it was in the html_output.php file, and never could get anything to work as far as styling within the php code. If somebody don't know how to change it, I'll work with it more in a few days when I get some free time.

This is the breadcrumb. You can set this in the configuration--layout settings--define breadcrumb status.

Well, the Home above your slider is actually your "Breadcrumb" trail.........Watch it as you go to a page such as THIS ONE. See how it shows your customers exactly what category they're in? It also allows for easy "back-tracking" through the pages without having to go to the menu and start all over again. But if you still want to get rid of it, then turn it off, as Anne pointed out............she beat me to the 'draw'. :)

Instead of manipulating the css to move things around on this page (this has the potential to cause cross browser problems), I would recommend editing the tpl_product_info_display.php file.

You need to edit the tpl_product_info_display.php file. Find the code for the attributes and move it/adjust the code to the place where you want them to show on the page.

That's nice. Can I use it in one of my upcoming template designs? Now, keep in mind that what I'm talking about is a commercial template that will not be in the downloads section, as it's going to end up being about 200 hours (maybe more) of :cry:,:lamo:,:oops:,:yuck:,:huh:, and finally :clap:.

I downloaded the all_business template and I can not find the screen shots of all the admin settings necessary to make the template look just like the demo. I read the install.txt file, however the link given in the instructions isn't valid, since the template is called all_business, not 507. Does anyone have the screenshoots to make this template look like the demo?

I am new to zc, using latest version I just uploaded this template today and was very happy with it. I set my 5 pics for the slide show on the first page and decided I wanted to change the 4th pic to a different product... I did the same steps to modify the 4th pic that I did for all 5 original pics... now im getting errors for all 5 pics and they arent showing up! I have tried to rename all 5 pics again and still nothing!

I am trying to add a few things to the all business template to do with the way products are displayed. Our company bulk sells products and we want to show our products in the pack size like this

12 x Panasonic AA batteries 4 batteries per card £0.46 each

I found it easy enough to create everything up to the each part but get a problem when creating sale items as it looks like this

12 x Panasonic AA batteries 4 batteries per card (£0.46) £0.40
Save: 13% off each

Can someone help me get this in the right place and tell me how to go about adding the total price. i was thinking

Thank you for your response i am trying to add it to all pages

What i would like to do is display products names like this

12 x Panasonic AA batteries 4 batteries per card £0.46 each £5.52

i have got the first bit (12x) by using the the min order quantity which i am happy with (however my code can prob be cleaned up) but as mentioned previously i am having trouble with displaying 'each' when the item is on special and the total price.

the domain i am testing on is www.topwholesale.co.uk

Also does anyone know of a way which the item add to cart quantity box is auto filled with the quantity the customer is required to buy them in.
Basically instead of 1 would be 6 or 12 or whatever is put in the units box, or maybe even a tooltip just something a bit more obvious for our customers as some of them aren't that bright.

I did the above and it seemed to resolve my initial issue. However, I'm now running into other issues with Tell a Friend and Reviews. I've reexamined the tpl_product_info_display.php file and both of these items are located at the end of the document. I'm hesitant to tweak my css because it may affect all of my other products. Here is the page specific I'm having issues with

This is the reason for editing the tpl_product_info_page.php. After you make any changes you will need to re-do cross browser testing to see that the layout is still o.k. in all browsers.

I'm sorry Anne did I miss something?

I just added a new product with attributes and ran into this problem. Prior to this (approximately a week ago) the fix to the tpl problem worked. It's not working now. Please see the page I referred you to. How do I fix this?
