Carlisle Fresh Template Support Thread

I finally updated from 1.3.9 to the lates zen version and love to use this nice and clean template (Carlisle Fresh). I have done all the steps a few times now but it seems to missing parts.

When I installed the patch I got this message "ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists"

Is there somebody who can advise me how to make this template work?

Remove the if statements in the tpl_main_page.php that are turning the left hand column off.

To show the pagination in the slide show you need to remove the display:none; from the .slidesjs-pagination

Hello again Anne, sorry but I have another (hopefully small) problem that I hope you can help me with.

I now seem to have lost the function of the template to realise what device it is on and display at the correct sizes on mobile / tablets.

When I look on the computer and change the browser window size - the site is still reponsive, changing sizes and displaying the mobile menu instead of mega menu etc.

BUT when I look on a mobile phone or tablet, it now zooms out on the website, displaying it as a full page but small, and does not display the mobile menu etc. Also when I change between horizontal and vertical viewing on the tablet, the site is not responsive.

I have recently installed a couple of plugins by Numinix, the CSS / JS loader and Fast / Easy checkout. I wonder if they effected it? Or perhaps it is a CSS issue?

I think it may be to do with the CSS / JS loader, and the new html_header file...I will look into this further today

Yes, my guess is that you did not merge the css/js loader plugin html_header file correctly with the one in the template package.

I did in my last post. You need to correctly merge the html_header.php files from the plugin and the template package.

I realise that, I thought I had done so.

I am now trying to establish what I have done incorrectly!

Can you tell me what I am missing, eg what I have lost or isn't loading correctly in order to cause a mobile phone / tablet to zoom the site rather than to load the correct CSS content for the relevant resolution?

I assume it is some javascript or CSS that isn't loading but I havent been able to identify what!

You need to use a tool like beyond compare or meld to merge the files ;)

I am installing Carlisle Fresh on a clean install.
I upgraded to Zen 1.5.5.a first
I am now on Step 7 of the install instructions.
Plus I have as the missing pic attached shows ,\Attachment 16740 seems to have worked but thought I should point out that is has some html coding in the attribute name <font color="#0044ff">ACTIVATE Responsive Template by selecting Column Widths</font>

Is this a concern or just a typo?

I am not sure where I have gone wrong with this but I cannot see the Carousel Featured Products Configuration menu item? Where would this have been installed please?

Hi resolved this. The instruction on page in Step1, does not say to execute the install_carousel_products sqlpatch, even though it does say in the title.

Besides the above that I am unable to resolve...

I have tried to open the doc in notepad++ to copy and paste and also select the files and press upload

Both of them give me the same error:

"WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again."


When I go to config>Layout settings​ and enter the values

and click on save, it shows up as "&amp;nbsp;::&amp;nbsp;" and affects how my breadcrumbs look

I might but be able to help with the error you are getting as I was getting the same from the clg_install.sql
To resolve the error, when I copied and pasted I noticed that there were some new line feeds in what I had pasted. Not sure if it was just the editor I using. Anyway to fix I pasted into the install sql form in admin and looked for any lines which might go over 1 line as in the Values and made sure there were no new line feeds in the middle of each command.
e.g my pasted text looked like this
INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value,
configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order,
last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function)

Which caused it to fail as it should be like this
INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function)
