Not exactly sure what I did wrong but when I installed this it killed my ability to be able to add products to my shopping cart. I just get an error now. Have tried to remove it by uploading the files from a backup it still doesn't work.

1. Did you complete the install by clicking on the 'install' button in the shipping configuration menu?
2. did correctly install the files located in the /admin/ directory?
If you have done #2 but not #1 you *will* have a problem editing products.
You can however do #1 without doing #2, but you won't be able to edit the dimensions of any products.

Hi
After installing the Ozpost module I now get "debug messages" in all my product descriptions. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?
You can see an example of it at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks.
Optional Shipping Insurance and AustPost
This may be a bit off topic however I am wondering whether anyone here using the optional insurance module has managed to get it to operate only when the AustPost shipping module is selected, and if so how?
TIA
I've been running the Aust Post module for a while, and it's been great.
I had a coder install another module today (something to do with url mapping) and now the fields for entering a parcels height, weight and length are missing.
I'm guessing this is probably quite easy to fix once you know which setting/file to fiddle with - trouble is I don't know which setting!!
Help!
I do realise there's a new Oz Post module available, but I guess I want to stick with what I know was working, rather than fiddling even more!!
thanks Rod.
You were quite right, 2 files had been overwritten when the new module was installed, so goodbye postal information.
I have no idea how to merge 2 php files, but I went through them line by line and did a cut and paste to add in the post stuff and it seems to be fine again.
Phew! :clap:
Hi,
i've attempted unsuccessfully to install the AusPost module on my ZenCart 1.38. I've followed the instructions to the letter in the readme files and now i can't view any products i have, nor can i add new products. One of the error messages i'm getting is:
1146 Table 'sitesynt_sukastore.geo_zones' doesn't exist
in:
[select geo_zone_id, geo_zone_name from geo_zones order by geo_zone_name]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
Another error message is:
1146 Table 'sitesynt_sukastore.geo_zones' doesn't exist
in:
[select sum(tax_rate) as tax_rate from (tax_rates tr left join zones_to_geo_zones za on (tr.tax_zone_id = za.geo_zone_id) left join geo_zones tz on (tz.geo_zone_id = tr.tax_zone_id) ) where (za.zone_country_id is null or za.zone_country_id = 0 or za.zone_country_id = '13') and (za.zone_id is null or za.zone_id = 0 or za.zone_id = '185') and tr.tax_class_id = '1' group by tr.tax_priority]
This "geo_zones" error comes up consistantly. As i said i read through the instructions, checked the sql database, installed the files and now i'm at a loss what to do.
Any help anyone could give me would be GREATLY appreciated, i'm starting to think it's beyond repair.
Cheers.
1. AusPost (The module you are using) and AustPost (the topic of this thread) are NOT the same (or even related) modules.
AusPost is very ancient, and hasn't been updated since zencart V1.3.0. (July 2006). Only AusPost uses GeoZones.
AustPost is a newer module that works with zencart V1.3.7 & 1.3.8. It doesn't use GeoZones.
2. AustPost is now also obsolete (no updates since Feb 2008). It has been superceded by 'ozpost'.

I suggest you uninstall your AusPost module(s) and install ozpost instead.
Cheers

Thanks a lot for the info, i am new to ZenCart and have only worked with the graphic side of design before, this is an amazing system but aside from HTML and a tiny bit of PHP it kinda gets over my head.
I appreciate you taking the time to respond, i'll install the new module and hopefully the system will be functioning again.
cheers :smile:
I've installed the OZPOST module, but in my ADMIN section i can't add or change products. By installing the outdated AUSPOST addon i think i've damaged something, i get this error message any time i try to add or change a product:
1146 Table 'sitesynt_sukastore.geo_zones' doesn't exist<br />in:<br />[select SUM(tax_rate) as tax_rate
from (tax_rates tr
left join zones_to_geo_zones za
ON tr.tax_zone_id = za.geo_zone_id
left join geo_zones tz ON tz.geo_zone_id = tr.tax_zone_id )
WHERE (za.zone_country_id IS NULL
OR za.zone_country_id = 0
OR za.zone_country_id = '13')
AND (za.zone_id IS NULL OR za.zone_id = 0
OR za.zone_id = '185')
AND tr.tax_class_id = '1'
GROUP BY tr.tax_priority]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
My question now is, can i fix this? or do i need to re-install ZenCart? It has affected the products in the ADMIN section and on the WEBSITE itself.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

RodG please helllpp.
I have uninstalled AustPost and installed OzPost.
I have products weighing and measuring differently so I enter the L/H/W in cm and W in kgs in all product descriptions as below. Is there any adjustments I need to make it work?
For example what settings should I be entering in the CONFIG>Shipping/Packing?
Your help would be much appreciated as always. I hope you get this.
Many thanks

Also consider same customer sells jewelery, rings and DVD's etc
All ozpost settings are left at their default settings.
To add to my problem, I also have products that Australia Post can't handle. Such as trampolines. 4 different sizes and weights!
One of smallest Trampoline 8ft :
Packaging Dimensions (cm) (kg) *
Length = 133
Width = 42
Height = 24
Weight = 45
Trampoline 10ft
Packaging Dimensions (cm) (kg) *
Length = 126
Width = 44
Height = 30
Weight = 50
Trampoline 12ft
Packaging Dimensions (cm) (kg) *
Length = 148
Width = 44
Height = 32
Weight = 61
etc.
How can I have them co exists. How can I have the Item 1 and 2 working with Australia post and have the trampolines work at different rates?
I have a funny issue.
I'm using zencart 1.3.8 and the last austpost version.
I'm not using Weight: 0, Height:0 ,Length :0, Width: 0 in the product.
When I unchecked the options 500gm Satchels 3kg Satchels 500gm Express Satchels 3kg Express Satchels .
I got the error:

You may still checkout using this method and we will contact you with postage costs as soon as possible.
and also if I change my Parcel Weight format from gms to Kgs.

No, not really. Exactly what is the problem? No quote? incorrect quote? Other?
Does your ISP have php5 installed? (this is required)
Enter anything you like, 'ozpost' ignores those settings. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/images...s/big_grin.gif
Hi,
I installed OZPOST a month or so ago and all was working fine. I have found out today that I am getting the connection error in the title. After searching through previous post, I have checked my weights and measurements, nothing has changed since it was working. I turned the module off and then on again but the problem persist.
What is slightly different from the post I read earlier, is when I have 1 item in the cart, the estimator gives the option of 500gm satchel and express 500gm but zero postage charge. If there is more than 1 item the error is displayed.
The estimator is displaying the correct measurements and weights on the screen so I am assuming I have a connection problem, but as I have not changed anything could anyone please direct me in how I can ascertain if connectivity is my problem.
Thanks.
Please Ignore my previous post, I have found what my problem is. Cant believe I spent all day looking at this....
I am Idiot, I thought I was on the latest version but alas I was not.
