I got my first order. woohoo...everything worked as designed. I changed my URL and server as some might recall it was extremely slow. So I changed host companies. Still working on USPS shipping model and might do a few more design changes, but over all, I'm open for business!

I will do my best to help. I'm more of a designer than a programmer so I will help where I can.
For the header, most of it was done via CSS. If you want to get rid of the language and the currency, just turn it off from the ADMIN section - layout boxes - turn off sideboxes/currencies_header.php and sideboxes/languages_header.php.
For the logo, just create your own and over write the existing logo. Do a right click/properties to see where it's stored at. That's the easiest.
I'm not sure what you mean by one button. Maybe you can explain more?

Depends if you want to restrict the width of the header and footer. You can do that by updating the CSS file. Right click and view source will be your best friend!

I'm getting the following error message under the shopping cart symbol:

I assume it's something to do with the EZpages, but they are set to on. Any ideas?

The Acadame forum at iChoze seems to be inactive for some time now. Too bad because they used to be very responsive until about month ago on their own forum. Their answers here ceased two weeks ago. Too bad because Acadame is such a wonderful template... I was very impressed with their technical knowledge and responsiveness and even planned to hire them for some customization I couldn't handle myself.

Sorry, I haven't managed to read all of this thread yet, so I hope my question hasn't already been asked.
I have managed to get rounded corner tabs on the ezpages thanks to TrvlFox's post.
Next step is to replace the background of the tabs and the logo with a picture that goes right across the screen so that it looks like the tabs are on top of the picture.
Is this possible?

LOOK UP IN ALL FILES
KEY or NAME
enter what you are looking for (e.g. part of what is displayed at the top of the browser)
in ALL FILES LOOK UP at the right, you chose ALL FILES - CATALOG/ADMIN
click SEARCH and then all files will show up

Whenever a customer creates an account, I get the sign up date showing 2036. I also have a newsletter subscription only module and that one shows the correct year.

You'll need to replace the currencies_header with the search_header then edit the sidebox template file for the search area adding class topBox to the main wrapper of the search area.Quote:

Thanks that worked great Im not familiar with css at all but after you posted I dowloaded the firefox css tools set which helped move things along alot better but css and the order and ids is still greek to me.... Now I moved extra spaces out from around footer and toplinks and it looks fine in FireFox but In Internet Explorer Blue lins are still there any reason why? Also anyone know how I can switch the search to left? I got Cart to move to right but cant get search to move far left?Thanks

To change the flame icon you need to upload your icon to includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images
the icon is called boxlistbg.png
If you dont have a .png file, but .jpeg or .gif you name your icon whatever.gif or whatever.jpeg and upload it. Then open your stylesheet in includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css, find boxlist.png and replace it with whatever.gif (or jpeg), save, upload and done...

Well, I tried it out in FF and it worked, so you would have to add this to your stylesheet:

Also why dont the side boxes enlarge with the text, say ive writen complete pc systems in one of the categories- it does not enlarge the side box down but it spills out.

Do you have a link?
I guess you would need to change the width of the sideboxes in Admin/Configuration/Layout settings, in Column Width - Left Boxes change it to for example 180px

Well, I can try and help you with moving it or removing it. As for the delivery information, that might be a bit tricky. Is this something that is a standard message? maybe a banner or text? You might be able to do it as a EZPAGE and place the link in the header. That way you wouldn't have to update the code and just do it from admin. If you look at my site, I have navigation that are tabs. I did this with a bit of code changes and using EZPAGES. I have instructions on how to do that somewhere on this forum.
As for the currencies on/off, I went into:
includes/templates/common/tpl_header.php and commented out the currencies and language. I left the shopping cart. I don't know the code for login/log off, but I'm not using that so you might want to find another template that uses it, grab the code for that and paste it in your header. However, whatever you do, back up your files and make a back up copy of your tpl_header.php file JUST IN CASE you mess up. I can't help much more than that.
If you need more, you might want to hire someone to do some of the coding for you. It's your business, and if you aren't good at it, than you don't want to compromise your business. The guy who created this template does offer his services... just click on his banner at the footer.

To start, i'd like to say great template and great contribution to the community!
I have two questions:
First, I require my customers to register before seeing products and prices. How can I go about completely removing the header for my login/registration page? This includes the logo, red menu bar, and the currencies/languages/shopping cart bar. I tried setting the "hide header" option to "true" in the "Admin - Customer Details" with no luck.
Second question, i'd like to replace the red menu bar (beside the logo) with this css menu bar: http://www.13styles.com/css-menus/style4/ . I don't care about the EZ-pages settings, I can add the links manually by editing the coding. How can i go about doing this?

Hi,
Take a look at my site. You will see a header similar to what you are asking for. Also, I customized my EZPAGE links to be CSS menu tabs (nifty corners). Somewhere in this thread I have instructions on how to do what i did. Obviously you would use your own header, and you can still use the ezpages which make life just a tad more easier if you want to change things around a bit without having to go into the code all the time.

hi this template is great but there is one big problem i just cant solve how can i add the account control and setting to the categories box what i mean is how can i add the link so when a user logs in at the bottom of the categories box they see My Account and Log Out as at the moment there is no way to get to change your account or log out thanks
The Acadame template needs the index page updated for 1.3.8. It is slightly incompatible with 1.3.8. It is the site name and site tag coding that does not work with 1.3.8.
I copied the 1.3.8 index file over to my template folder to get it my site name showing correctly.

With the one in the AcadameV1.2 you end up with the title in the browser top bar as "HOME_PAGE_TITLE" instead of the default "Acadame V1.0 - Two Column" and if you change the title to what you want it still reads "HOME_PAGE_TITLE". I can't get either template, Acadame, or Atheme. I installed both in a fresh install of 1.3.8.
I can show you better than I can explain. Currently, Acadame is the template I have loaded, and if you go here http://www.therealasseenontv.com you will see what I mean.
To answer the first obvious question you will ask me, Yes, I have products loaded. It was fully functional, and is, when using any other template. Just not with either of these two.
